I was driving back to my college campus from my hometown on April ********************************************************************************************************************************** the ditch on the right side of the road. The accident was the other drivers fault and there is a police report filed. Since then I have worked with the insurance company and they have dragged their feet. I promptly got an estimate but their company almost intentionally kept sending stuff like the appraisal to my hometown when I told them the car was with me at school hours away and I couldnt safely drive it back home, they gave the appraisal agents the wrong phone number which resulted in a delay. I have been trying to work with them to get my car repaired since April 21 and they are now telling me that they want to scrap it and for me to hand over the title and now as of June 3 they suddenly want proof that I even own the car because Im a 25 year old college student and they dont believe I could buy my car myself. I have also been very up front that I need the car repaired to give the rental back because I am on an internship that requires me to be able to transport myself there and I feel like they are using my age, predicament, and time to pressure me into taking a bad deal where Ill be without a vehicle and possibly lose my internship that I have paid for credit hours this semester and that I need to graduate because they wont pay out for the accident that was caused by their client. There is also 3 agents on this, one in Vermont, the head one in *******, and a NY side agent because the person who hit me is from out of state.

Please be advised this office has received the above-captioned consumer complaint. This will serve as our response to the complaint.

A Concord General Mutual Insurance Company policyholder was involved in a 4/20/25 motor vehicle accident with the complainant, ****** ********, in ********, ********. The accident was reported to us 4/21/25, a claim was established, and a licensed independent adjuster in ******** state was assigned to investigate and evaluate the claim on our behalf.

Ms. ******** called and spoke with our staff on 4/24/25 and 4/25. She wanted to have her vehicle repaired. Our staff advised her we needed the opportunity to inspect the damage before repairs could commence. There was a delay by the independent adjuster in getting the claimant vehicle appraisal assigned; this was done 5/5/25. On 5/9/25, we received the appraisal prepared by an independent appraiser for repairs in the amount of $2,425.96. On 5/15/25, supplemental damages were discovered that rendered the vehicle a total loss. A total loss settlement was reached on 6/9.

Requesting verification of ownership is a routine part of verifying the payee for the total loss settlement and preparing proper Transfer of Ownership documents. This is a standard procedure that has nothing to do with the demographic of the complainant.

If additional information is required, please let me know.

      Thank you,

Concord Insurance provided us a Certificate of Insurance for a company that did subcontract work. That subcontractor did damage to a customer of ours property. The subcontractor, **** ********* has failed to do the repairs as promised and is not responding to us at all. Concord Insurance has directed us on what to do to file claim for reimbursement of the costs of repairs. Concord Insurance is now refusing to pay for the claim stating they can not decide which policy should be paying for the damages. They never told us they would not pay throughout the process of. repairing the damages. Concord just needs to honor the certificate of Insurance they gave us. This has damaged our reputation and costs us significantly with our customer
