JDS flooring installed a new wood floor into my new construction home in late 2020. The flooring, provided by ****** flooring is supposed to have water resistance and a 20 year warrantee. There are 2 areas of the floor where the finish is coming up and peeling leaving the floor rough, and unsightly. I have asked them to look at the damage, but was told it was "normal wear and tear" even though the floor had a 20 year warrantee. I have repeatedly asked them to move forward with a warrantee claim through the manufacturer to get the floor repaired, and they are doing things like opening the claim with claim reason of "Homeowner asked us to file a claim" which of course gets denied. When i try and contact the manufacturer direct I am told i must go through the dealer that installed the floor and they cannot help me directly.

I was eventually contacted by the business, and after insisting they open up a complaint with the manufacturer the manufacturer sent someone out to generate a report.  they are saying that there are no manufacturing defects and it is normal for the finish on their flooring to wear through in less than 3 years.

At this point it feels like i have exhausted all remediation with the company and manufacturer since they are pushing back.

Either I am going to have to live with the damage, eat the price of the floor, or get lawyers involved.
