    In January 2023, I reserved a cabin for my family to stay at the Winding River Campground 190 Court St, Exeter, NH 03833 for the timeframe of August 17 – 22, 2023. This reservation was made with a ******** credit card ending ****.
    On that Sunday of our stay (August 20, 2023), I made a purchase in the campground store for a golf cart rental. The cost of the rental was $200. This purchase was made with my ****** ************ ****** ***** debit card ending ****.
    Shortly after returning home from our trip, I discovered that the Campground had inadvertently charged my ****** ************ ****** ***** debit card ending **** twice totaling $400 and I emailed the campground immediately. They acknowledged the mistake and stated that my card would be reimbursed within 3-5 business days.
    After the exchange of several emails and non-receipt of the reimbursement, it was discovered that the Winding River Campground mistakenly reimbursed the ******** credit card ending ****, a card that I had intentionally cancelled in April-May 2023 timeframe. This card was no longer active at the time of reimbursement.
    Since then, there have been several email exchanges in an attempt to rectify the situation. This includes an acknowledgment by a staff member on October 30, 2023 where she states “Yes, it should have gone to the other card, but when the refund was processed, that is the card that automatically showed up as it was the card used for the reservation. I apologize that it went back to the wrong credit card.”
    I have been unsuccessful in recouping the $200 from Winding River Campground. They have consistently stated in order to recoup the money, I would need to contact ********, however this has been unsuccessful due to the fact that the card is no longer active in my name.
