      I have been trying to cancel my membership. The local gym will not cancel it I have asked multiple times.

      If I could give zero stars, I would. This is a shameful excuse of a company! My husband and I cancelled our memberships in September of 2022. Since then, Planet Fitness has continued to withdraw $10.73 each month and has charged us the yearly renewal fee as well. I assumed one of our accounts had somehow remained open, so I stopped at our home club today. The employee verified that our memberships had been cancelled and told me to go to the bank because the charges we've been getting are likely fraudulent activity. Imagine my surprise when the tellers at the bank informed me that this is not an uncommon occurrence. They have people who've had to get completely new bank accounts to stop the charges, since the bank will block Planet Fitness from withdrawing $10.73 and $10.74 will be withdrawn. This is absolutely despicable and Planet Fitness will never be receiving my business again unless some big changes take place!

      I was a long time PF member and recently cancelled my membership due to the corporate policy. I think its disgraceful allowing a trans gender into the opposite bathroom. Its wrongperiod. Its a shame as I enjoyed my membership. However when a company is willing to allow men into womens bathroom or vice versa, its just wrong. If they want to accommodate trans gender, add a bathroom for them. Its simple right or wrong and I take a stand for what is right. My hope is others will do the same and consider another fitness franchise. Plant fitness is disgraceful for having such a policy.

      I signed up for new membership 01/2024 agreed to pay $10.00 each month ,give my personal information including my checking account and my debit card to be charged every month .After 3 month making my payments they withdrawal $93.13 stating that there late fees .No one to speak , billing department doesn't speak with you if you have close the account.What a very difficult personal to deal with !I feel that they are an Scam .

      This is in regards to the ********** Planet Fitness in **************. They have been horrible. The gym is a disaster. So many broken machines, they never fix anything here. So dirty. Poor manager and weak owner, they do not fix, maintain, or keep this place up at all. Then they said they were closing last week, but they did, to move, so we lost a week of working out, they lied, never called, emailed, or informed us, we lost a week of the gym because of their bad management. There was nothing in my spam either, they lied about it. Then we went to the new location this week, it was closed, but no note on the door. This management is the worst. I want a refund for my lost week and another for the future lost week when they do move, if they do. They lie so much and do not fix or take care of anything here. This whole week I could not use an elliptical machine, almost all of them are broken along with many bikes. So many machines broken here, they do not fix anything. The manager walks around on her cellphone all over the place, but the signs say cellphone conversations in the lobby only, she is the worst example for the patrons here.

      False advertisement for the new year sale an annual payment which is a yearly payment they are trying to take it 2 months after signing up, no where did it notify me or say they where doing that I always have issues with billing and customer service there they have no clue on what the f*** they are doing nothing but crooked people

      On February 28, 2024, I went into the Planet Fitness **********, **, location to cancel my Black Card Membership and worked with a female employee. After signing to cancel my membership, she informed me that I was all set and that it was canceled. About a month later, my bank account stated that I was charged for a Planet Fitness Membership in March, and I logged into my Planet Fitness account. It said that I was still active Black Card member, even though I had canceled it a month earlier. I went into the ********** location again and told them my situation. The employee I worked with had me re-sign to close out my account and he informed me that it was a failure of the employee I worked with a month earlier. He told me she failed to send the confirmation to close my account. He then informed me that they could do nothing to compensate me for it other than give me in-store credit, which would be pointless. He then provided me with a phone number for the billing department for *** Fitness Solutions, a third-party billing. He informed me that trying to get a refund would be an excruciating process regardless of whether they had screwed up and that I should consume alcohol before calling.The number he provided was not the correct number, and it was a dead-end phone number that would hang up when you chose the option of a consumer for one of their gyms. After researching for 30 minutes, I found the phone number for *** Fitness Solutions Billing. After an hour of getting someone on the phone, I spoke with ***** from Billing. She briefly looked at my account and stated that I had canceled it the day prior (the second time I canceled my account). She refused to listen to what I told her numerous times, and she said she wouldn't do anything about it and hung up. I then called Planet Fitness ********** again, and the manager stated that he would look into it; however, it was the first time he was hearing about this issue. All of this was extremely unprofessional.

      I am a Black card member visiting from Indianapolis, IN. I have been working out in the gym located in San Pablo for a couple of months now. I've experienced other members hoarding gym equipment. Many hold the equipment in reserve while they work out somewhere else depriving other members that equipment. I talked to another member of the gym and he told me this was a common practice in this gym. Furthermore he said that the staff and management tolerates this kind of behavior. I advise PF Headquarters to contact this club and others under their authority and have them to place signs throughout the gyms that hoarding and reserving gym equipment is not permitted.

      Beware of Security Issues at Planet Fitness

      I recently had an extremely upsetting experience at Planet Fitness in San Pablo. After a one-hour workout, I returned to my locked locker to find my small satchel, containing my wallet, house keys, and car keys, missing. Despite the locker being locked, my belongings were gone, leading to a series of unfortunate events.
      Not only did I face the inconvenience of being stranded without a way to get home or into my house, but the situation escalated when the police couldn't access security cameras immediately, and only managers could grant access, which was unavailable until the next day. In the meantime, I had to call a tow company, spending $400 on a new car key and house locks. My car also has to be reprogrammed and a new set of keys, which will take another 2 days, therefore I cant go to work either.
      The lack of assistance from the staff during this crisis was disheartening. It's crucial to note that while they advise against storing valuables, the severity of the situation was underestimated. Immediate access to security footage and more helpful staff could have mitigated the impact of this incident.
      To add to the frustration, when I finally spoke to a manager, "Ed" the next day, the response was less than satisfactory. Instead of a proactive investigation, I was told, "I don't know who it could've been, but it might have been the woman who was going into the little ladies room." Who also goes to another location just to use the showers which is suspect. Such a dismissive and seemingly unprofessional response leaves much to be desired.
      This experience has left me questioning the overall security and customer support at this location. I strongly recommend that management addresses these issues promptly to ensure the safety and well-being of their patrons.

      I cancelled with a letter and mailed it to my club well the club said they never received and now I am getting the run around, saying the manager is working over nights cause they are short handed so email him, then i email him and he doesn't respond i call almost every day and they have an excuse, 12/20/23 call today and the "regional manager " heather is there but she wont get ion the phone she goes thru an employee and says if i have proof that i mailed it, WHAT!!!! r u frigging kidding me . Why are you scared of your members. because you have now taken my yearly fee and one month fee after i cancelled way before my renewal date. so than the employee gets on line after i asked for her last name and she says that I can email her. ohhhhh but we cant email to cancel! I am so fed up and frustrated with this club I will contact my credit card company.
