On April 8th, 2024, I visited Circle T Car Wash at 8:13 am to get their soft touch "Talk of the Town" wash service. Upon returning home, I observed visible chips and scratches on the roof of my vehicle, which were not present before the car wash. Promptly at 9:43 am on the same day, I contacted Circle T Car Wash's customer service line to file a complaint, intending to alert them to the issue and prevent similar incidents for future customers. Subsequently, I took detailed photographs of the damages and personally visited the car wash to demonstrate the issue to the attendant, ****, who denied any responsibility without proper investigation. During our conversation, I encountered rudeness and condescension. Despite my explanation and evidence, **** dismissed the possibility and attributed damages to unrelated factors such as rock damage or improper snow removal. Following his uncooperative response, I persisted in seeking a resolution by contacting the customer service line again at 2:33 pm on the same day, expressing my dissatisfaction to which I received a call back on April 10th from ****. Upon speaking with him, the company's stance remained unchanged. **** suggested obtaining a CarFax report to ascertain the vehicle's condition before the incident. Following his advice, I obtained the CarFax report, which confirmed that the vehicle had no prior history of damage, thus affirming that the damages incurred were indeed caused by the car wash. Furthermore, **** pulled footage from the company's surveillance cameras, but this was the extent of the assistance or investigation he was willing to offer. One photo showed a top view of the roof with no damage before the wash. Despite my persistence and evidence, Circle T Car Wash refused to acknowledge their responsibility or offer any form of redress. Their dismissal of my legitimate concerns and their failure to address the issue adequately demonstrate a lack of commitment to customer satisfaction and accountability.

The foam material that operates the car wash is soft, a closed cell foam, made of neoprene. This material is softer and quieter, than all other products in the industry, while still being strong and durable and providing great cleaning results. **** VII Equipment (the equipment at this location) has been evolving for the past 50 years. ************ Equipment washes over two million vehicles around the world, making them the market leader in the car wash industry. With direct subsidiaries in ******, U.S.A., ***** and the **************, plus a network of independent distributors, they are the global car wash leader. Their equipment is reliable and provides a seamless product. We are the proud owners of fourteen of these particular machines and currently wash over four hundred thousand vehicles per year company wide with great results and no incidents. This particular site washed 158 vehicles on 04/08/2024 without incident.  In addition, this site consistently washes the vehicles of many local law enforcement on a daily basis.  The equipment does not take the consumer or the owners view on situations.  It would not be possible to scratch one vehicle if it did not scratch all vehicles. The owner spent an extensive amount of time researching the acquisitions to come to the conclusion that the car wash functioned properly and did not damage/scratch any vehicle.  That leading to the conclusion that the vehicles condition was of that condition prior to entering our facility.  The owner explained the inconsistent pattern of the materials movement with that of the alleged allegation, understanding that this is not everyday knowledge to most.  We invite ************** or any other interested party to return to the site, to watch a vehicle in motion from beginning to end, to observe the material and process and to see the product in its completion, to understand the car washing process and the inability to scratch a vehicle as indicated. Educating our consumers has been a part of our business plan for the past eighteen years. Taking the time to truly educate the public on the importance of taking care of their vehicles is a part of owning a car wash that we take dear to the heart, as our machines are safe, durable and reliable and provide an outstanding product. From time to time consumers are misguided about car wash systems and make suggestions/assumptions to find a solution to their vehicle being scratched/damaged by other means.  There are many outside/environmental factors that lead to the damage of a vehicle. We responded timely to this guest, provided footage and inspected our site entirely to determine that the car wash is not responsible for such accusations.  We feel as though we have in good faith and professionally addressed the stated concerns.

I do not accept the business's response as a resolution to my complaint because: [You must provide details of why you are not satisfied with this resolution. If you do not enter a reason for your rejection, your complaint will be closed as Answered.]

I wish to convey my appreciation for the thorough communication provided to me during this process. While Circle T Car Wash's staff have adamantly defended the integrity of their equipment, various discrepancies have come to light, casting doubt on their claims. I have personally visited the wash and observed the functioning of the brushes, but it's important to note that this observation does not diminish the validity of my concerns, nor does it imply any incompetence on my part.

Despite being a longstanding patron, I must assert that perfection eludes any operation, and malfunctions occur. Contrary to their assurances, instances of debris entanglement, such as rope and fishing line, have been reported within the brushes to me by an employee on their customer support line. This raises concerns regarding the efficacy of their maintenance procedures, and affirms the possibility of objects getting caught within the brushes.

I have not disputed the quality of their service or products but yet emphasized the imperfections inherent in any system. It stands to reason that if debris could not adhere to the brushes, as they claim, it would have been expelled, resulting in irregular damage patterns as it worked its way out. I do not accuse the brushes themselves but rather suggest that foreign objects within them may have caused the damage.

Furthermore, references to law enforcement utilizing their services appear irrelevant to the matter at hand.

Additionally, the footage capturing my vehicle entering the wash clearly indicates the absence of damage beforehand. However, there was a notable lack of comparable footage showing the vehicle exiting the wash. Moreover, the photos supplied by Circle T (attached above) fail to reveal any damage to the roof of my vehicle upon entering the bay. Notably, the discovery of the damages upon my return home, observed from a second-floor window in my kitchen, reinforces the absence of damage prior to the wash. If the damages had existed beforehand, they would have been discernible on the footage.

As a loyal customer seeking resolution, I request acknowledgment of responsibility from Circle T Car Wash, accompanied by appropriate compensation for the damages incurred. Furthermore, assurances of enhanced quality control measures are imperative to prevent future incidents. Failure to address these concerns adequately may necessitate further action through relevant channels, including legal recourse.

Thank you for your attention to this matter.

      Sincerely,

      ***************************

As reported, we have communicated thoroughly, investigated the claim fully and have provided detailed information pertaining to this claim.  The guest indicates that she has returned to self observe the safety functioning of the car wash and its material.  The illusion made here is that there was foreign debris that caused damage to this customers vehicle only, while in our car wash, and that is simply not accurate.  There is no such debris present in the video footage provided nor was there ever any debris at anytime located in the wash bay, before, during or after.  The foam material that operates the car wash is soft, a closed cell foam, made of neoprene and did not have any debris, as suggested, intwined to cause said damage to this vehicle and or any other vehicle on this given day in question.  The footage provided by our facility does not reveal damage prior, during, or exiting the car wash bay.  Damage to one vehicle and not others is not possible as suggested. We are not at liberty to suggest where the damages may have occured however it is important to note that there are many environmental factors that come into play as we residing in ** have just concluded the winter season.  Again, educating our consumers has been a part of our business plan for the past eighteen years. Taking the time to truly educate the public on the importance of taking care of their vehicles is a part of owning a car wash that we take dear to the heart, as our machines are safe, durable and reliable and provide an outstanding product to all vehicles.   We staff our car washes and are vigilant about what enters our bay, and our quality control measures are the highest of the industry.

I do not accept the business's response as a resolution to my complaint because:

as previously stated the investigation that they conducted included pulling footage from their security tapes, which revealed a clear image of my vehicle, entering the wash damage free. They were unable to provide a comparable view of the vehicle, leaving the wash, therefore not rolling out damage incurring during the wash. They were unable to provide a comparable view of the vehicle, leaving the wash, therefore not rolling out damage incurring during the wash. Additionally, the damage was observed the same day, and also reported on that same date ruling out the proposed weather damage of the vehicle.

As a customer, Im disappointed by how this case has been handled and there lack of willingness to remediate this issue. The only only remediation I have been offered is to view the footage, which has only made me feel more uneasy. The only remediation that has been helpful throughout this process has been the pulling of footage which only confirmed my concerns of the wash, causing damage to my vehicle. I am still seeking further remediation and feel as though Circle T car wash has not resolved this issue properly with me as a loyal long-standing customer.

I have been a customer for many years and was washing older cars that I just wanted the salt and dirt removed. After buying a new vehicle, I went there for the 1st wash and selected the touch free to remove the salt and get the undercarriage done. It didn't get any dirt off. There was no one working. I called when I got home and was told I could go back and get it washed for free. When I went back the owner was there and told me I was not given a code and this was not how Circle T deals with rewashes. Reluctantly she gave me a free wash but explained to me do not get touch free anymore. I took the free wash and left.
I went to get my truck washed yesterday, selected the soft touch and the same thing happened, my truck did not get clean. The attendant was nice but was not timely to see the truck.
As I waited 10 minutes for the attendant to witness the dirt, I watched every car leave and no one ever looked at their vehicle.
She did offer to rewash it, but I had to get back in the line of 8 cars. Which I thought was odd, because on another occasion I was held up for what I think was a rewash, the attendant never explained.
I told her I just want credit. She explained she can't issue credits but someone would call me in 20 minutes to discuss. How can they take money, but can’ issue credit on the spot? No one called me! Around 4 pm I called Circle T voicemail box was full. I called back later. Same thing! The next day I left a message and I received a call from the manager. He told me the process to get customers credit is a lengthy one, but it will be 2 weeks and you will see it on your card.
03/16/23 - Again no one will call me back with credit info. It’s been over a month I have not received credit! I don’t think this company issues credit and hopes the $17 is a waste of time to peruse.
I have come to the conclusion now that the more frequently you visit businesses and then engage to get customer service the more you get to know who you are dealing with.

Our business has been successfully operating for the past seventeen years with new equipment on site, that allows a guest to choose from many options, of which all include either touchfree or soft-touch options.  Customer service is of utmost importance to us, in which is evident by providing wash attendants on site daily to assist with guest needs.  We greet our guests respectfully and offer assistance to the best of our ability.  Our equipment is state of the art and we take pride in how we operate daily.  We put our heart and soul into each day, offering a service to the community.  As a proud, respectful, professional business we have responded to Mr. ********** and he has been provided with the opportunity for us to rewash his vehicle.  The car wash attendants are not authorized to refund a guests credit card nor does our processor allow us to retain a guests full credit card number to offer such refund, in the manner in which Mr. ********** was demanding.  Mr. **********’s demeanor has been intimidating and abrasive at best with the attendant and the manager via telephone.  As the owner of the business I would be happy to meet with Mr. ********** at the car wash site to rewash his vehicle as a courtesy.  The car wash has and is operating at its high quality potential.  We will continue to serve guests of our community with pride and honesty.

      Complaint: ********

I do not accept the business's response as a resolution to my complaint because: The attendant ignored me and took care of the customer next in line.
She said I could get a credit. The manager said I would get credit. The attached picture is the transcribed voicemail that said I would get credit. I called the manager back and he confirmed I would get credit. They never intended to give the credit, like I mentioned and now its clear. I will not ever go back there and be humiliated by the owner again.

      Sincerely,
