I bought a brand new Nissan and it was underwarrantee. The seat belt kept getting caught between the car door and the car door post. Nissan has tried to fix the car door post a couple of times. They told me it was my fault not to check the seat belt was in the car correctly. This was all during the extended warrantee period.
Recently I went to a used EV dealer. They made an estimate of resale value of my car and commented that the driver's side seat belt retractor was not retracting. I did not even realize there was a retractor on a seat belt. YES THERE IS A RETRACTOR. Everytime I get my 100 year old mother in and out of the car it retracts on her side. WHAT IS WRONG WITH THE REPAIR GUY THAT TOLD ME IT WAS MY FAULT. They had a faulty retractor for almost 4 years while it was under warrantee and now that its beyond warrantee I find out from another car dealer that there is a faulty retractor.

      Good Afternoon,

Looking back at Ms. ****** 4 year service history with us we do show any documentation regarding a seatbelt concern. Depending on what the problem is exactly the issue might be covered under her warranty. We would like the opportunity to diagnose the concern for Ms. ****** Where a seatbelt is a safety item this repair could still be covered under Nissan factory warranty. We would be happy to work with her on getting this resolved.

I purchased a truck from Port-City Nissan with an extended bumper to bumper warranty. Back in late June of this year the transmission went in the truck and they claimed that it was not under warranty. After arguing with the staff, they agreed to replace the transmission. They have had the truck since mid July and when I have called for updates, they lead me to beleive they have been working on it. At one point over a month ago, I called and they stated the transmission was on back order and they anticipated it being delivered within the next few days and should be done by the end of the following week. That was over a month ago. I have now called and they told me that they cannot get the transmission since GM is on strike and that I need to come and get my truck as they will not fix it. I feel I have been lied to from the beginning. I was lied to regarding purchasing the warranty as they tried to get out of repairing the truck to begin with and then they have lied to me for months while awaiting the trucks repair.

      Complaint: ********

I do not accept the business's response as a resolution to my complaint because: You told me you would fix the truck back in July and you still have it. Also, you now used the excuse that GM is on strike which is a relatively recent occurrence compared to how long you have had my truck. There are other options as well. You could pay to have it repaired, stand behind your warranty.

      Sincerely,

      **** *******

I took my daughters 2017 Nissan Pathfinder to Port City Nissan for engine noise and thier diagnostic report said it was a timing chain issue and a bad rear wheel bearing. I gave the okay for repairs and picked up rhe car on 6/19/23. On 2/21/23 the car broke down and I had it towed back to the dealship. The breakdown had to do with work that was performed for the timing chain. A couple of days later Port City contacted us to say there was another issue, both intake sprockets needed to be replaced due to dirty oil and sludge. I okayed the work knowing what had caused the issue was not true. Two days later they called again saying that a motor assy-actuator also has to be replaced due to sludge. Again I okayed the work. After work was complete we picked up the vehicle from Port City and had it less than a month and the vehicle would not run properly. I had it towed to *********** ****** and had a diagnostics performed and was told it was a timing problem and we were advised to return it to Port City Nissn due to faulty work on thier part. The issue was a sruck sprocket. Had it towed back Port City Nissan and my son-in-law went along to show them the diagnostic from ********** ******. A couple of days later we got a call from the dealer stating that the intake timing soleniods had to be replaced due to sludge also. I went to the dealer and asked for a printout of thier diagnostic. Once they gave me the paper work they stated that they had came up with the same diagnostics that *********** ****** had come up with. Port City Nissan did not perform a diagnostic as they stated but simply just gave me a copy of *********** ****** diagnostic because on the code page was in hand writing from Somersworth (do not drive) and the same hand writing was on the code page Port City Nissan had given me. As for the dirty oil and sludge I have reciets for 9/23/22, 12/2/22, 1/3/23, 1/17/23, and 5/17/23 for oil changes. I know they lied about the dirty iol and sludge and the diagnostic.
