    On December 9, 2024, I had an oil change and state inspection performed on my 2014 *************************** at Meineke. After passing state inspection and no mention or documentation of an oil leak, on December 24, 2024, my check engine light came on, and by December 28, 2024, the vehicle could not exceed 40 mph, with the oil pressure warning light and alarms indicating a serious issue. Upon inspection, it was discovered that the engine had no oil due to a leak caused by a cracked oil filter housing. Meinekes mechanic claimed this was a pre-existing issue, is an obvious lie and the oil filter housing was replaced in March 2024 and would have been handled during the December 9 oil change. Any cracks or leaks would have been evident during the service and resulted in failure of inspection as I previously experienced. Diagnostics from another mechanic determined it was an obvious result of over torque and negligence of Meineke. Meinekes 90-day oil change warranty covers such issues, yet the shop has refused to repair the damages. I am seeking Meineke to honor their 90 day warranty by repairing the oil filter housing, addressing the oil leak, and covering any related issue they neglected. They are flat out lying.
