State of New Hampshire v. Jordan Dunne of JD Demolition & Asbestos Services LLC
On June 18, 2024 the business owner Jordan Dunne pleaded guilty in Sullivan County Superior Court to felony attempted theft by deception and to felony theft by deception and misdemeanor unfair and deceptive business practices. The case was investigated by the Department of Environmental Services - Air Resources Division which found that in January of 2020 Jordan Dunne attempted to obtain funds in excess of $1,000 by falsely representing that he was a New Hampshire licensed asbestos abatement professional and that building samples obtained from a Lebanon business were sent to a lab and tested positive for asbestos. Additionally, in June and July of 2022, Jordan Dunne obtained funds in excess of $1,000 from a consumer by falsely representing that he was a New Hampshire licensed asbestos abatement professional and that building samples he obtained from a Claremont residence were sent to a lab and tested positive for asbestos. Sullivan County Superior Court sentenced Mr. Dunne to 12 months in the house of corrections, with all but 30 days suspended for a period of three years. The court also ordered Mr. Dunne to pay restitution to all the victims in full on the day of sentencing. Dunne has been ordered to complete two years of probation, and he is prohibited from engaging in asbestos abatement activities or applying to renew his asbestos abatement license during the three-year suspension term.
