    Business Response

    Date: 07/28/2023

To whom it may concern, I ************************* am replying in regard to the latest notification in conjunction with a complaint of unfinished work submitted by Ms ************************************* dir="auto" style="color: rgb(34, 34, 34); font-size: small; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">
I have begun work around the time closer to or in December of 2021 on Miss *********************** kitchen. She purchased the cabinets and was looking to have them installed I wrote up a proposal which became a contract / agreement to proceed with work drop ceiling with to be removed new sheetrock put up and also on the walls which was in the process of being fulfilled, I believe she was notified of a turn and opposed to demolishing she was made aware that drywall would be laid over the paneling.

Nevertheless work was in progress as the days continued I would show up and work for what was acceptable being I am an independent contractor other factors sometimes especially being short staffed would take me away from a primary location for a time and then I'd have to return I've communicated throughout the process with Miss ******************* concerning project details. As moral and civic obligation damages are sometimes sustained as minor but should always be bought to the customers' attention I was in no way informed or aware of the dent in the side of the refrigerator door. Furthermore if I might state an incorrect interpretation of the end phase of the project was made by Ms ******************* in her complaint towards me, as we were nearing towards the completion of the kitchen work I'd had reminded her that the balance of between $700 or $800 possibly a little more give or take was the remaining balance to be paid at the end of the job, at which point as of remaining repairs left were some screws needed in the ceiling, spackle work and baseboards installed were what was left as the goal towards completion.

Please bear in mind I had been paid majority-wise in accordance based on the amount of work being done has contractor rule of thumb finish one phase of work take another installment and so on and so on until work is done. Nevertheless that was the itinerary and it was moving along fairly as I neared the last phase I had informed ************* that payment would be required as I was getting close to being done at which time her reply in her own words was that the several hundred dollars remaining she would not be paying me because she was not working and didn't have the money to pay the between $700 to $800 or so dollar balance. Upon this revelation I informed *************** that work activities would have to be suspended if she was no longer going to be paying what was left of the balance. Although she breached the contract by failing to fulfill her obligation in paying the remaining balance I had no choice but to discontinue the work I was doing seeing that no further funds would be given to finance the last phase of the project.

I affirm that the above statements are true and accurate to the best of my recollection, I also appeal to the bureau that my statements be forwarded to *************** so that she may understand the reason in case she had forgotten why work activities were suspended as documented in the above  issue being addressed.

In closing I am requesting that the bureau not post anything potentially damaging as I am in good standing with the state and having addressed every complaint and grievance against me to date.

Also I am forwarding photos of the majority work completed in the kitchen.
