I was admitted to the facility on 3/26/24 and met with Aniecea S. financial counselor, on 3/28/24. I signed a payment plan for the amount of $2,250. I was told this was my "co-pay" and she had spoken to my insurance company and confirmed this was the amount that would be due for my 21 day stay. I met with her again on 4/15/24, the day I was discharged, and was given a printed copy of my payment plan for my records. On 6/25/24 I received a bill dated 6/18/24 for $4,996. I immediately called to find out why there was a discrepancy and spoke to Teldren who informed me the amount I owed was in fact $4,720. I was advised to contact my insurance company to confirm the amount. My insurance company told me that my deductible was $5,000 and that the $4,720 amount was in fact what I would owe for the 21 day in patient stay. I attempted to contact Recovery Village directly to try and speak with the financial advisor who set up my payment plan for the $2,250. I have gotten no responses to my emails or phone calls. The only office that is contacting me is the billing department who says they are separate from the facility. On 7/2/24 I spoke to Altwahn and was given the option of contacting an attorney or paying the full amount. He then offered me the option to pay $3,297 in full by 7/5 or I would need to set up a payment plan for $314 a month in order to pay the full amount of $4,710 (this amount still isn't the same as what I was told on 6/25- $4,720). $3,297 is still $1,047 MORE than the payment plan I agreed upon in March. I want this resolved as I have a signed agreement with the facility for the $2,250 amount and no one is honoring this agreement and I have been unable to speak with the person who set this up for me. It seems she was misinformed and gave me incorrect financial information, but I should not be held accountable for someone else's mistake. I want the contract I signed for $2,250 honored as that is what I agreed upon.
