In August 2009 the company informed the BBB that it has received inquiries from individuals who had been in contact with an entity known as Kennedy Funding Group. The Kennedy Funding Group is apparently engaged in making unsecured personal loans. Kennedy Funding Group has copied the addres, the trademark letterhead and the exact trademark symbol of Kennedy Funding, Inc. The phone numbers are different and are used to instruct consumers where to wire money. Kennedy Funding, Inc. has reported the identity theft to authorities.
