I had been with *** for several years on the only claim I ever filed was for an accident that was not my fault. When I got my renewal letter for 2025, I was shocked to see they were trying to raise my monthly rate from $176 per month to $209 per month. I am a 69 year old driver with a good credit rating. I gave them an opportunity to rescind this increase but they refused, I ended up getting a much better rate with Travelers. Stay away from this Company.New Jersey Manufacturers Insurance Company

The fact that as of 4/7/25, I have never received any correspondence from this Company, reinforces my review and shows how little they care about keeping their best customers. Not to mention their price gouging policies. Stay away.Review fromAmanda B

As a result of fire damage, my *** issued an added assessment to all owners. *** has denied loss assessment coverage, claiming that the added assessment issued by the *** is not the result of a fire. It is a fact, that the fire forced my *** to charge owners since the damage exceeded the deductible. All of my neighbors have been helped by their insurance companies, but Im the only idiot who thought that I could trust *** during a devastating tragedy.New Jersey Manufacturers Insurance Company

I was an *** customer for over 30 years without any claims on any property or vehicle I owned. Everyone in my family is on ***. When I filed a claim for electrical damage to my new home in 2021 they tried to short change me on the payout and I couldn't believe the adjuster could not add properly or so it seemed. He had all the figures, all he had to do was add it up. After 5 tries and his bad attitude he could not get simple addition right so I spoke to his office manager and then received the full payout. the very next renewals for my bundled insurance all my rates went up, auto insurance and homeowners and each renewal for 3 years after that it went up more. In 3 years since the claim I was paying 1200 more a year for homeowners insurance and 1019 more a year on auto. the reasoning *** gave me was I was paying for 3 claims. 2 claims was filed before I bought the house and my claim after I bought it in 2021. the funny thing is before my claim these 2 so called mystery claims before I owned the house didn't effect anything and was not filed through ***. how does *** get paid off another insurance company claim and what does home insurance claims have to do with my auto insurance going sky high for no reason. My advice is *** have good rates just don't ever file a claim with them because if you do they will increase every policy you have and try to recoup that payout for any claim even if the previous claims was not filed through ***. So if you file a claim with ***, after they pay out drop them fast because your next renewals will be insane. I dropped *** 3 years after my claim but should have done it sooner. I only stayed because of loyalty and history with the company. I really hope all insurance companies don't operate like this. NJM is the only insurance company I dealt with my whole life. I branched off from my parents and they had NJM probably before I was born and now I'm 50.New Jersey Manufacturers Insurance Company

Do not use NJM Insurance Companyit's a scam. I called in late June for a home insurance quote after someone on our town's ******** site recommended *** for having good rates. I compared my current policy to ***'s, apples to apples. ***'s quote, dated 6/25/24, came in about $500 lower. Yay! But wait, there's more. They required an interior inspection, and that process took about a month. They emailed me a new quote yesterday, dated 8/7/24, and increased it by $600. This had something to do with the square footage of my home after the inspection. Since I did not receive a copy of the inspection report, I called to inquire. But here's the worst part: The representative mentioned the quote increased by another $1300 (yes, overnightfrom 8/7 to 8/8). I actually called a second time because I thought a mistake was made. But no, the *** representative said the plan's effective date has something to do with the premium. She didn't even seem to think a $1300 increase overnight was odd.New Jersey Manufacturers Insurance Company

I am 58 years old, and permanently disabled on SSDI. I simply cannot afford an arbitrary $600 annual increase, and I have not had one single accident or claim!!My most recent online review of NJM:If I could give this crooked organization zero stars, I would. After being with them for two years without even a single claim, they suddenly hit me with a whopping $600 increase in car insurance premiums! They then went on to offer up some lame excuse about two rate increases hitting my policy at the same time! Oh well, see ya!!New Jersey Manufacturers Insurance Company

Not BBB accredited. Should be the first hint this business is sub par. Signed up for insurance 7/23. Everything was fine then my engine blew out. My car has been in the shop for months so the car insurance payment wasnt paramount. It totally slipped my mind on the March payment and instead of calling me they just cancelled my policy. Huh? Its not like an owed them anything it was just a late payment. If thats how they treat their customers then glad I got out. I went to GEICO for less anyways! Terrible company and service.New Jersey Manufacturers Insurance Company

REMOVED A CAR FROM MY POLICY AND THE CUSTOMER SERVICE REP SAID THAT I WOULD GET A CREDIT AND I WOULD NOT HAVE A PAYMENT DUE UNTIL THE RENEWAL. COUPLE MONTHS LATER I FIND OUT THEY CANCELED MY POLICY WITH NO CALLS OR NO LETTERS. WHEN I FOUND OUT, I CALLED IMMEDIATELY TO FIX THIS ISSUE, THEY SAID I COULD NOT GET REINSTATED AT ALL. I'VE BEEN WITH THIS COMPANY FOR OVER 26 YEARS AND MY PARENTS HAVE BEEN WITH THIS COMPANY FOR 50 YEAR. IN 26 YEAR I'VE ONLY HAD 1 SMALL CLAIM 20 YEARS AGO. CUSTOMER REP AND UNDERWRITER WERE NO HELP WHAT SO EVER. ITS RIDICULOUS THAT THEY CAN CANCEL A POLICY AND NOT CONTACT THE CUSTOMER TO LET HIM KNOW ABOUT IT.New Jersey Manufacturers Insurance Company

The company gave me a $1200/yr premium quote upon application. Upon clicking buy, it jacked up the rate to $2050/yr. This company is a complete bait and switch.New Jersey Manufacturers Insurance Company
