      I really appreciated Avocados return policy when I purchased the mattress topperthat transparency gave me confidence to try it. But actually returning the topper has been a frustrating experience. The box it came in is far too small to fit the topper once it expands (my husband and I spent an hour trying, with comical results), and the only return option was to drive it to a donation drop-off location with limited hours and a not-so-convenient location.Thankfully, we had a giant box from a toddler swing set we could reuse. Still, it felt like the return process was unnecessarily difficult. The box in the instruction video was much larger than the one we received, and the whole process made it seem like the return policy is generous in theory but discouraging in practice. Id love to see more transparency and better packaging that actually supports returns.

      Ordered a mattress in 2020 for close to 2k, the green top of the line in king and it was very uncomfortable, they recommend a topper which we tried for another $700 and it didnt help. Now it is sinking and has low spots on both sides and they wont do anything about it even though it has a 25 year warranty. We would never recommend this company. They also dont allow you to leave reviews. I asked and they told me to just send an email to their support. Horrible experience.

We are able to see our team members reached out 4 times prior to closing out our communication to see if you were happy with your mattress with the topper added. Unfortunately, we did not hear back, and we were hopeful all had worked out. Our team member also informed you that your sleep trial had now concluded for your ************************* 2022, you reached out about your mattress, however, the sleep trial had closed, and warranty information was provided. You had inquired about your topper at this time as well, and you were informed that your topper was still within its 1 year sleep trial, and you were welcome to return the topper at that time once you had completed the return process. However, the mattress no longer qualified for a return, and you were and are still welcome to fill out a warranty claim for our warranty department to review and see if your mattress is not holding up as expected, and possibly warrant a replacement mattress. We are so sorry that your experience was less than satisfactory.       I have has this queen sized mattress for three years. It has a huge low spot in the middle . They won't warranty it because the low spot is not deep enough. Two people cannot sleep in this bed without falling into the center of the bed. This bed is c*** and a rip off. Do not waste your money on this thing.

According to the warranty policy, indentations must be at least 1.5 inches deep to qualify for a replacement.Additionally, the inspector also observed that your current bed frame lacks a center support leg. For queen-size mattresses and larger, a center support is essential to maintain structural integrity and prevent sagging. The absence of this support can lead to issues that are not covered under the warranty.We understand that this may not be the outcome you were hoping for, and we sincerely apologize for any frustration this may cause. If not already done so, we advise making sure the frame being used is providing the support needed for your mattress. The frame that was reviewed did not provide adequate support for your Avocado mattress.       I ordered a mattress from Avocado, and what did I receive? An empty box. No mattress, just an empty cardboard box sitting on my porch. I immediately contacted customer service, expecting them to correct this obvious issue, but instead, I was met with excuses, delays, and absolutely no resolution.Despite multiple attempts to get help, Avocado has refused to take responsibility. No refund, no replacementjust a complete runaround. At this point, it feels like a scam. They took my money, delivered nothing, and left me without a ****** yourself a favor and stay far away from this company. If something goes wrong with your order (which, based on my experience, is likely), dont expect them to fix it. I regret ever trusting them.

      I respect the companies dedication to low toxic, sustainable mattresses. However, the customer service is set up to fail. Its impossible to get in touch with someone to return the mattress. Ive been passed around 5 times over 5 days and still dont have instructions on a return. The mattress came 5 inches too short, which an agent agreed is a manufacturing error. But they still want to make me wait 30 days to return the mattress. It is too short and its unsafe on my kids bed frame because slats are exposed due to the incorrect length. I still dont have my issue resolved you cant contact a returns agent by phone and they take 2 days to respond to each email. I truly believe they purposefully make it hard to complete a return and I dont appreciate the lack of customer service.

      Purchased quite a few avocado products crib bed, mattress covers, fitted sheets, pillow and pillow cases. All the products worked well. I purchased pillow cases in advance in anticipation of using toddler pillow for my son. Well I had finally opened up the package and after the first wash following the instructions on the label. The seam opened on one of the pillow cases. I reached out to customer service and was told since they only cover a year they couldnt help me. With all the money I have invested into the company without any prior issues you would think a pillow case issue would be addressed. Nope nada; so keep that in mind they only stand by product quality for 1 year of date of purchase. Even if the product is stored and not used immediately from that time. Loyal customer lost over a pillow case.

      I am appalled at this company's behavior following a Recall for an organic mattress pad I'd bought from them several years ago - after they discovered it was made of flammable materials. I received numerous emails, urging me to destroy it and to "stop use immediately" - as well as provide evidence, ie photographs of the destroyed pad. Which I did so. Emails stated the customer would receive a Replacement within 4 weeks after documenting the flammable pad was destroyed. I did that, and it's been 11 weeks, 4 emails and 3 phone calls later - and Avocado still has not sent a replacement. Nor do I believe they ever will. That pad I bought was over $200 - and now they are no longer culpable for a pad that could go up in flames. While at the same time Avocado has no plan, as far as I can see, for replacing it. This is a deceptive and fraudulent transaction, and deserves a class action law suit against them. Do not trust this company. Do not give them your money. They deserve a -5 star rating.

This was Avocado's first and only recall and had proven to be an uphill battle, we have received well over 6000 submissions. With only a small portion of our team processing this took much more time than anticipated, as each submission was individually reviewed and processed. Here is some information about our recall and why it was recalled:The ****************************************, Requirements for Mattresses and Mattress Pads 16 C.F.R. Part 1632. This standard reduces the risks of death, personal injury, and property damage associated with fires that result from the ignition of mattresses by cigarettes. The standard provides a test to determine the ignition resistance of a mattress. It defines a mattress pad as: "a thin, flat mat or cushion and/or ticking filled with resilient material for use on top of a mattress. This definition excludes convoluted foam pads that are not totally encased in ticking."       Horrible mattress. Bought this as an alternative to Tempurpedic. Worst mistake of my life. The Mattress sags and sinks in less than 2 years and they will not honor their sham warranty. STAY AWAY!

      I bought an Avocado mattress and mattress pad a few years ago. Late summer I received an email that the mattress pad was recalled due to it not meeting flammability standards. I followed all of their instructions, cut the mattress pad in half, wrote on the tag, sent photos, all at the end of August. By the end of September I hadnt heard anything, they did say it would take 4 weeks to ship from when you submitted your recall. I reached out to customer service at the end of September, who told me they had received my claim, but its had not yet been reviewed/processed, and that they were pretty busy. Now its mid November, and still nothing. I just reached back out and am looking forward to an update. This situation is rather challenging, as the mattress toppers are pricey and now mattress is not only unprotected, I dont have the comfort that helped me to sleep better that the mattress pad offered. Im looking forward to Avocado following through on this, or at least give me a refund for having me destroy my topper.
