      I purchased 2 mattresses from Avocado ONLY because their website PROMISES their mattresses are toxin-free. They lie. They have deceived all of us. There is a class action lawsuit against them. ****** it. So many chemicals. I want my money back!! How can they live with themselves?? This is beyond unacceptable.

      Buyer Beware.60 days after purchase, my mattress was still not breaking in correctly. More specifically there seems to be a band of firmer springs down the middle of it.I purchased an eco-organic, that is supposed to have ALL the same spring stiffness excpet for 2 edges.I emailed customer service who asked for pictures and then basically told me to spin it and that it would break in.I believed that because I brought this up WAY before the 100 day trial was up, that if and when it came time to return it, I wouldnt have a problem especially since they were the ones that told me to give it more time.Turns out waiting and turning it didnt fix the problem.They wanted more pictures and when I turned them in my case became a warranty case because it was not outside the 100 day trial period.OK I played along. Still believing that the company would do the right thing in good faith.That didnt happen.Because my pictures didnt show the ONLY defect that falls within their warranty, my claim was denied.It didnt matter that this problem was there right from the beginning. They told me it was NATURAL wear and tearTheres no way that it is normal that it should feel like Im lying on top of a hill if I want to lay next to my wife. Shame on Avocado. I would NEVER recommend this company for ANYONE again.

      Horrible experience. Buyers be wary when dealing with this company. Once the bed was delivered to my home (no small feat) and unrolled it became an absolutely horrible mattress. I had the ******************* to realize an issue 375 days into ownership. The mattress smelled too high heaven. The odor permeated the bedroom and seeped into other rooms as well. The mattress cover smelled; the sheets had to be washed daily to help the issue. Finally, all bed covering had to be tossed. Pillows, sheets, and comforters. A nightmare. To put it bluntly, this company is incredibly poorly run. The customer service department is populated with children. The responses from the representatives were juvenile, meandering, and word salads. No thought went into the answers perhaps the script had been misplaced. I was instructed to buy an essential oil like peppermint and spray the mattress. Or just take it outside to air out in the sun. I reside in an apartment building. I just hung up and went mattress shopping. I purchased a Sealy ***************************************** and a new box spring. The firm I purchased from removed the Avocado Queen overpriced mess and the box spring. I ordered new pillows and replacement sheets. I took a financial hit on this transaction with Avocado. The warranty is worthless. They simply can't be trusted.

      Horrible experience! I was given a crib mattress from this company as a baby gift; after the first night our infant slept on it, there was a large dip where he was laid. The dip has only grown with continued use, which is what the company requires you do before returning the mattress (requires a minimum of 30-nights use). My poor child rolls dangerously on this mattress because of this dip. It is UNSAFE and unusable because of this. Also, they will not work with me, as the gift-receiver, so I am having to put-out the person who was kind enough to purchase the mattress for me. The "green package protection" was also purchased for this mattress and STILL this company is refusing to refund the money and take this mattress back. Instead they are asking for ridiculous information, like measuring the depth of the dip. Just return the mattress. It's unsafe! I am uncomfortable using it and I don't want it.

      This company is misleading and a fraud. I purchased 2 mattresses with reliance on the selling point headline that the mattress can be tried and returned within one year. The mattresses I purchased are for my 2 and 3 year old. We cannot sleep on them as my children get nauseous and want to throw up. We are in March and they still have this stench that is causing my children to throw up. In the fine print it says one return per household. I even spoke with them before purchasing to determine my best option and they never said anything about being limited to one mattress per household. Had I known this, I would have never purchased these mattresses. Ever. In addition to the smell, the product itself defective. I wish I looked the company up on this site before purchasing. Separately, where is the common sense in one return per household? If the product is defective and subpar in one, then why would it be any different for another?

      I purchased the mattress based solely on Consumer report reviews and their one-year trial period and no questions asked return policy. I'm here to tell you do not remove the law tag on the mattress. their policy is you can't remove the tag, otherwise they are not able to donate the mattress to charity. I think this a great policy but when I asked about what charities they donate to, they never answered my question. For obvious reasons the mattress must be in good condition to be donatable, but I actually question whether they donate them at all and simply repackage them for resale again. Why would a charity care if the mattress has a tag on it and why would they refuse to tell me what charities they donate too? The moral of the story is, as usual, read the fine print and DO NOT REMOVE THE ***** The salesperson could have stressed do not remove the tags or their "no questions asked" return policy is voided. I also question Consumer Reports review, they should also take into account the return policy of the companies they review.

      This company should not be in business! I did receive my avocado mattress, and on time. However, when the mattress came, there was a red stain on the bottom of it. Not only was it damaged, it stunk TERRIBLY, and it was the most uncomfortable mattress Ive ever laid on. I was willing to wait the 30 days for the full money-back guarantee. However they were being very obstinate about getting the pick up scheduled and still has not happened. On top of that, they are telling me that because it has a red stain I am no longer eligible for a refund whatsoever! It came that way! I thought I was doing my due diligence by reporting it, letting them know there was a problem, not just for me, and my preference of having a new clean mattress, but for quality control issues. Instead, I was meant by emails that threatened I would not be getting a refund because it was clearly my fault the mattress was stained, even though it arrived that way.Their customer service is terrible, you cant get a hold of anybody, they will not call you, and all you get is rude emails that run around in circles with no resolution. I have email chains a mile long to prove all of this too. Its very clear that they never intend to refund any money, and make it as difficult as possible to get any customer service, if any at all. Its absolutely abhorrent how they treat customers and are able to sell a product, a terrible one at that.I am now going to have to go through my credit card company to try to get some sort of financial compensation for this nightmare with this terrible company. Avoid at all costs!

      They do not stand behind their products. Warranty is useless!! Our mattress and topper were purchased less than 3 years ago and we had to remove the topper because of severe sagging and the mattress is also sagging. We are not big people - and we were told to take pics of the topper on the floor ?? Really...I guess we need to sleep on the floor. Terrible customer service - they do not have a phone number to call for warranty..only email and they just find an excuse to not stand behind their warranty!! Stay away!!
