We contracted LifeRide on 3 separate occasions to for wheelchair accessible van transport to doctors appointments for my 94 yo wheelchair bound ailing mother. LifeRide committed to provide trained drivers and an obligation by law to provide proper restraints for the patient. I received neither. The credit card payments were as follows: $265.80 on 06/26/23; $211.80 on 7/25/23; and $253.85 on 8/3/23.On the 1st 2 RT, a shoulder harness (**) was not used. I called LifeRIde to assert that the ** must be used and received assurances. Upon arrival, my Mom was wrapped like a mummy with cargo straps, her arms unable to move. The driver explained that I did not use the words "3 point restraint" in my request. I spoke to ****, the supervisor for the territory for an explanation and she deferred to ****** the LifeRide vehicle expert. He falsely claimed that ** are not required in **. I read him the statute, and he pushed back. *****, also falsely claimed that ALL the drivers had been trained on all of the van equipment. But the driver on the 8/3/23 return ride called ***** for instruction on the ** use. *****, was unable to instruct the very eager driver on how to use the harness. He joked that when the driver figured it out he could teach him. I escalated to *********, the **** operations manager who claimed that my complaints were without merit because my Mom got transported without incident. When pushed for a resolution, she offered me a $25.38 discount. I was seeking assurances that the company would follow the law.In my experience, LifeRide lies, dissembles and is unconcerned with the law and passenger safety at a corporate level. I am seeking assistance from the BBB to file a formal complaint to the *** on ADA ************** I am now further seeking a full refund of $731.45 for all 3 trips as I did not receive the transport by "Vetted and Trained Operators" nor the "100% Secure door-to-door transportation and care" as advertised.
