I bought a 2016 Range Rover full size hse in July 2019. Have had problems with the engine every sense my piece. Each time I took it to get service and the engine checked they told me there was nothing wrong. Soon as my warranty goes out they say the engine is damaged it would cost 30k to get it fixed and it has to be out of pocket. Called corporate they gave me the run around for copies of all my service records and found out the person who had the vehicle before he took it to get service for the engine and it failed diagnostic four times which means they knew this engine was bad and sold the vehicle anyways.

I had my 2010 Land Rover with ******* miles in the auto body shop for 119 days. The body shop was waiting on a shock absorber which was on nationwide back order due to limited supply from Land Rover. My insurance only covered my rental for 30 days and suggested I contacted Land Rover and ask for a rental reimbursement since it's their lack of inventory that's causing the delay in the repair and was told they do it a lot.I contacted Land Rover after week three before I was on the hook for the rental myself and was told there would be no problem getting reimbursed and it's happening all the time, they will reimburse me up to $45 a day. All I had to do was submit my receipt once the repair was completed and when they confirmed my vehicle was in the body shop for the same time waiting on a part from Land Rover they will reimburse me. I gave the gentle my name and that was it. He never asked for any information on my vehicle nor explained any potential road blocks and policies they had that would prevent me from getting reimbursed. After 119 days I got my car back when Land Rover finally was able to get the part to the body shop. I called Land Rover on 7/15 to start the reimbursement process and was told they won't reimburse me due to it being out of warranty / having too many miles. Their policy is terrible as is, but my complaint is due to the fact I called before and was lied to and was not disclosed of any policies they had. I would have taken a different course of action had I was informed upfront as to what to expect. I am looking to be reimbursed $3,100 for my out of pocket rental costs as it's Land Rover fault due to it's inability to have parts available to keep it's customers on the road and due to being lied to.
