      I will make it very easy for do not use this company it is not good at all. But if you do I am sorry for all the time and money you are going to through in the trash. I would like to sue them for bad business practices.

      I live in the country and purchased a 3 year warranty. Select Warranty (SW) could find no technicians to come and fix either claim 1) garage door and 2) leaky faucet. I tried to find someone myself, but none of the technicians wanted to deal with SW. Before making the leaky faucet claim I was told I had to add a supplement coverage for faucets for around $250. For almost two months I have dealt with SW and could not get anyone to come to the house. I finally asked them to cancel the coverage and refund the three years of coverage...all paid upfront. They not only charged me a $75 cancelation fee but would not refund the add on $250 for faucet coverage. Since they could not fulfill their part of the coverage (send a technician out to fix the problems), I think all of my money should be refunded, especially the add on. I intend to file a complaint with the BBB. This is a terrible company.

      This is the worst company I have to deal with. Our AC unit stopped working around July 15th during California hot days about 100 to 105 deg. I called select home warranty to take care of the issue since they are my home warranty. The one on the phone said will take about a week to send a technician to check my ac. So I told her I can’t wait a week and my family will not suffer in the 100+ deg weather and I offered to bring my technician instead and she said ok. When the technician came in to checkit he realized few things have to be fixed, so I put the technician on the phone with them to talk to and the SHW employee took about more than 30 minutes of questions with him and finally she said ok but she asked me for some picture of the unit and the repairs required in addition to all maintenance records I have done on the unit. I sent her the pictures of the unit and the repairs area she asked for but I told her I don’t have any maintenance records for the ac since I just bought my house 3 years ago and the owner didn’t leave any of that and not aware if he did any. She said the pictures will be fine and will take two days for their resolution team to process that and let me know by email. I waited for two days nothing from their side. I called them and keep telling me the same thing and no answer. Finally I got the answer that since I don’t have the maintenance records, they will reimburse me only for $150 which about 10% of the original repair cost. I told them there is nothing in the contract saying I must have the maintenance records in order for them to pay me for a full repair. I tried to talk to a supervisor and finally she said I have to wait for an hour or two for a supervisor to call me. I have never got that call. I know they are trying their hard not to get out it. Be aware and don’t fall in their trap! If I can put no star at all, I would do that

      If you had a 0 that’s what I would give. It’s a scam. November submitted first claim for a washing machine and refrigerator. Nobody ever came out to fix my washing machine. Recently I had to put another claim in again for my refrigerator after three weeks and many complaints someone finally came out. A determination was made by SHW the repairs would cost more than what the refrigerator is worth. My refrigerator is five years old and is a Samsung which I paid $2400 and they want to give me $250 after I submit a receipt for either a new refrigerator or the repairs of my old one. When I was sold the policy I was told by the sales person that if the refrigerator cannot be repaired they would replace it. I never received a hard copy of my policy and they told me they only email that out. Their Facebook page has hundreds of complaints that this company is a big scam and people want to start a class action suit against them. Do not purchase any policy from them and read the Facebook reviews not the Google reviews which are all fake.

      LIARS and Scam artists.
      Sales made promises which I explicitly asked about and yet when I went to claim, I was told it did not apply. Did nothing to help.

      Had problem with something they fixed again and yet they are saying I have capped my limit.

      This is the first time that I am filling a complaint ever for anyone anywhere. I had horrible experience with them. I’m about 2 months in my contract. My water heater broke on 8/12/22 I filed a claim same day and was told to wait 48 hrs for them to review my claim, then was told repairs are not covered under the warranty without sending any technician. I had to call them numerous times to deal with this issue while my basement was flooded due to water leak and I am fighting with them for repairs. It was extremely frustrating and decided to cancel my policy and start calling them on 8/24 finally spoke to someone on 8/26 who cancelled my policy. It took me about 4 hours multiple calls to do this. The only option to cancel is to call they do not allow fax, email or mail. They are charging me $75 cancelation fee on top of all the hassle. They said I will receive cancellation confirmation email within 24 hrs. I have received that email yet and I am hoping they don it charge my account anymore. I paid 2 months premium and $75 cancellation fee and wasted so much time and anergy to deal with them during difficult times. This is the most horrible experience and wish no one go through the same. Please take an action.

      I am regretting making decision to go with this horrible company. I don't feel like we giving even one star. My AC unit had issues and we raised claim in early July and they been assigning different contractor but no one showing up or responding. We went through 3 such contractors in two months and we are still without AC in this heat. This company does not have good technician contracted.. STAY AWAY from this company. It is fraud.

      Select Home Warranty is a SCAM! They DO NOT STAND UP TO THEIR PROMISE TO FIX OR REPAIR! THEY TAKE YOUR MONEY AND find excuses to not send contractors out to fix problems. We were told to pay the initial service fee, to have our air conditioner repaired, we did and it's been over a week, several calls and now we're told we will have to submit maintenance records for an air conditioner unit that came with the house when we purchased it! we don't know the previous owners or where they are! So, to get out of repairing the unit, SHW will only give us a meesily $150 towards repairing it, and we were told by the contractor it will cost over $2,500 for the repair! And we paid over $500 for the Platinum Coverage, and this is our first claim, and this company have taken our money and swindled us! this is a tragedy, unamerican , they should be STOPPED from doing business in this state!

      Have had them for just shy of 3 months and we had to make a claim as we started having electrical issues were our main breaker would shut off. Called a few times and was told we would get a call back to schedule a service call for inspection with their contractor. Heard nothing! called again and was told there technicians cant get out to our residents for about 30 days. And since it had not been 90 days since our plan started we would only get $150 in repairs for a $1500 fix. WHATTT! ? I paid more than that in premiums! I asked to see this policy I had signed (I had signed nothing) and asked for the recording of the rep I signed up with informing me of this provision along with the $75 cancelation fee (which was never explained either) Conveniently, It could not be found and again I did not sign that policy. I paid for than $150 in my premiums and your going to give me less than that for a repair! So, what's the point of having this coverage. I wish I would of looked at the BBB sight before I started with them. I see there only a 1 star out of 5 and currently have over 1500 complains of the same thing. To me this a dishonest company with dishonest practices. A scam company. I would like my premiums back I have paid for as well as the $75 back. I have made reports with consumer affairs and the Federal Trade Commission as well while still sitting here on hold. I don't want others to go through this! I've been on hold with them for over an hour and wrote this while on hold.

      Customer Service/not in the U.S.-hard to understand and vise versa!
      Not viable on air conditioner services. What you claim is not working, goes into “maintenance” and you pay out of pocket!!
      Very shady actions observed. In for the bucks, and service you are AOL(out-of-luck).
      HORRIBLE COMPANY!!
