      They find ways to not honor contracts. Company sent tech for dishwasher who didn't speak English. Company then sent note saying the timer on the dishwasher was not working which voided the claim. The timer disqualifier was used to not honor the contract. The timer was not the cause for the dishwasher not working. Additionally sent plumbers for two separate things which were not resolved.

      You will speak with a foreign agent you can barely understand. They routinely deny claims or delay. Dont try to get plumbing repairs in ETX, no one will work with them. Then they will have you find your own and then deny your claim. There are no experts to speak with in the regards to your issue. No common sense on the other end of the phone. Dont do it, its a waste of time and money. You will pay twice.

      We were a vendor with Select Home Warranty for a brief period. During that time, we rarely received leads, and the customer service team was consistently rude, especially when it came to approvals. Overall, our experience was extremely disappointing, warranting a one-star rating at best.We canceled our subscription in November before the next monthly charge. When we spoke with a representative, they assured us that the cancellation was processed and that we were all set. However, four months later, our *** noticed that they had continued to withdraw payments from our account. Upon contacting them, providing screenshots, and forwarding the email confirmation of our cancellation, they promised to look into it and get back to us. Despite their assurances, they only issued one partial refund out of the four months they continued to charge us. We've spent months trying to recover the remaining funds, with ongoing calls and emails. To date, we have received only two refunds, and the process is still unresolved after eight months. It's incredibly frustrating that they are quick to take our money but slow and uncooperative when it comes to returning it.**Additional note:** If you're a vendor considering working with them or canceling their services, be prepared for a lengthy and frustrating refund process. They have shown a pattern of quick theft of funds but are unresponsive when it comes to refunds. Proceed with caution.

      ********** call was placed on 6/29, and *** dispatched my service call to ***** Services. You can read the event of that experience here: ************************** ********** call was dispatched a second time and thankfully it was a fantastic experience from start to finish. From the initial call from the technician to the impromptu follow-up when he had an unexpected opening, everything was seamless. Hes incredibly personable and professional. It took him just minutes to diagnose the issue and replace the belt. Could not have asked for better service!As a customer of SHW, I am thoroughly disappointed with how my service call was handled. My concerns were dismissed, the overall experience was frustrating, and no effort was made to offer any form of compensation. This lack of accountability is unacceptable.

      I regret not realizing they weren't accredited by BBB before i signed up. The main reason i had this service was for our 3 air conditioning systems because they are old. Finally one went, 2 different **********s, one they sent and other i hired, said compressor was out due to 'old age' (18 yr old unit). *** entered the first report as 'electrical failure' and declined it. I was present when the first ********** called *** to give report. Agent did not speak barely any English and it was painful to hear him asking and trying to repeat back what the ********** was saying. Over and over, i heard the ********** said 'no, it's not electrical, it's old system' Well, SHW declined it based on 'electrical failure'. When i called and ask for the written report from the **********, it mentioned nothing of electrical failure so they 'resubmitted' the claim. Came back and asked me a couple days later to contact their ********** MYSELF, because they needed more information as to why because Normal Wear is not a good enough reason. Since their ********** couldn't add or elaborate more they said, they would accept a second opinion. So I paid for ****** I chose to come out. He called them the next day with his report (they wanted a call, i'm assuming so there is no written record). He called me right after and said 'they will contact you but i have a feeling they wont pay. They kept asking me over and over for reasons, i kept telling them that is was just an very old unit and the compressor just died'. And they kept using terms to get him to say something, it was obvious, to give them a reason to not cover it. They even asked if it had rain or storms in our area. Then I get email that is declined due to 'electrical failure'. What a Joke! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! You are better off with others, even if more a month but at the end, this will cost you more. The kicker: when i called to cancelled, they offered me 1/2 off next service call fee ($35) to keep them. LOL!

      Worst home warranty company I have ever had. These people dont even answer the phone, promise you to call back and they dont. They pick the worst service people, and the worst part is that they misinterpret their own policy documents to get away with not paying for a repair. Not Im on the phone for an hour trying to cancel it and theyre making it the most difficult they possibly can.

      ABSOLUTELY the worst company to do business with. I inadvertently left them a positive 5 star review via email as I thought I was reviewing the VERY HELPFUL repair company and NOT Select Home Warranty. Will be filing an official complaint with BBB and whomever else I need to, to get them to act in an honest manner and with integrity. I do not recommend this company.
