Good morning,I simply would like them to STOP sending me solicitations. Some are marked Second Notice. And they are chronic. I have called the Pennsylvania American Water Company several times to ask them to contact this American Water Resources to stop sending me all information about their services. I have friends and neighbors who have used them and when they have an issue, this company does not help them. I do not want to have anything to do with them. Please stop the mailings.

I paid American Water Resources, P.O. ************************ 60197-9813 on 5/27/25 for Sewer Line Insurance $108 through my online billing. They cashed the check but never gave me the coverage I paid for. I called the company and they gave me a run around but would not give me a refund or an explanation as to why I had no coverage. I asked to speak to a manager and they put me on hold forever. I feel they are ripping off customers. I want my money back. I do not think this is right. They made no attempt to assist me, even though I already have water line coverage with them. I paid for that also and they act like I have no account.

Complaint #7781546947BDB You can close this complaint. I contacted my bank and even though it looks like the business cashed my check, the bank investigated further and they discovered the check had not been cashed and they are going to refund me the money. So it is not the business fault. The bank feels the check may have been lost in the mail. Thank you.

Spam. I have called four different times each time asking them to stop mailing us these spam pamphlets trying to sell us their services for their Water Line and Sewer Line Protection programs. They have said they won't mail us again, until they do again a few months later. Please stop spamming us and respect our rights and preferences.

I paid for the Water Line and Sewage line coverage and recently had a visit. After the visit, my sewage pipe was cracked and they now refuse to cover the costs for repair. The website clearly states that the Water Line and Sewage line coverage covers leaky pipes. After calling them, they always say that they will call after 3 days and always find a way to not pay for/cover the damages. We have 2 kids and have not been able to use the bathroom or shower for 2 weeks. They are scammers.

American Water Resources (“AWR”) appreciates the opportunity
to respond to your June 11th, 2025, correspondence regarding the
      complaint filed by Gang Wu.

Upon receipt of the referenced matter, AWR contacted Mr. Wu
on June 16 regarding his claim for sewer line repair. The service provider
determined that the issue originated from a pre-existing condition within an
interior line, which is not covered under the current program. Mr. Wu does not
have interior line coverage with us currently.

On June 18, our service provider visited the customer’s
residence and successfully cleared a blockage in the main sewer line. The line
is now clear and functioning properly, and Mr. Wu has full use of his drains.

Protective policies are not what they proclaim. Been paying *** since 2017, monthly for 3 different policies, $25.00 /month. had a water pipe leak, 45 yr old home, copper pipes were used. Back then. Noticed our wood flooring darkening and buckling, beginning May, 2025 , phoned OUC, opened a claim, they contacted a plumbing company in the *** network, came out, found the leak source, said the leak ** would be out next day to locate actual leak, stated slow leak, could not detect if more due to water meter not running, after no usage. Advised could dig under slab and into soil and locate where it should be, **** mess, or replumb. I know no one who would want the 1st option, we chose the replumb. They submitted to *** their proposal and we started the job. $13,000.00 and now the **ywall repair, $3000.00. Phoned ************ times to see if they were going to reimburse anything. We would have been happy with a minimal payment, after all we were paying almost 7.5 yrs for protection. Finally , on June 7, 2025, supervisor called, no payment, did not meet their specifications! It was under slab and they do not pay replumbs! The end.Hence, Im canceling all policies with ***, I SUGGEST seriously thinking about this so called coverage. Thank you

      American Water Resources (“AWR”)
appreciates the opportunity to respond to your June 10,
2025, correspondence regarding the complaint filed by Judith Fennessy

      Following
our review of the matter referenced above, AWR contacted Ms. Fennessy to inform
her that the re-piping of her plumbing system is not covered under the terms of
her In-Home Plumbing Warranty Plan. Ms. Fennessy elected to proceed with a full
re-pipe rather than accessing the affected pipe through the foundation.

      As
outlined in the warranty agreement, re-piping is not a covered service. Ms.
Fennessy was advised of this at the time of the repair.
      As a
gesture of goodwill and without any admission of liability, AWR issued a
courtesy credit to Ms. Fennessy’s account. She has accepted this resolution.

      American Water Resources (“AWR”) takes

Subject: Urgent Follow-Up on HVAC Claim #******* Dear American Water Resources,I am writing to urgently follow up on HVAC Claim #*******, which I initially filed on Thursday, May 14, 2025. During my first call, your representative asked whether I had any health conditions that could be impacted by the issue. I informed her that I am currently undergoing treatment for cancer. I was assured that, due to the circumstances, my claim would be marked as urgent and I would receive a call the following morningFriday, May 15.Unfortunately, I did not receive any follow-up as promised. Furthermore, two weeks ago, I received a call regarding my claim and was informed that there were no available contractors in my area. I was told that, as a result, a payment had been processed to resolve the ********* has now been over two weeks since that conversation, and I have yet to receive any compensation. I am writing to request an immediate update on the status of both my claim and the payment.Given the health considerations I shared and the amount of time that has passed, I respectfully ask for your prompt attention to this matter.

American Water Resources sent one of there plumbing contractors out.The plumbers pulled up my front side walk, and steps, and dug up my yard to the main sewer line. Did not fix the clogged main sewer line, covered back up the sewer line not fixed, leaving a pile a dirt, left front steps, and side walk pieces in the yard.

I have American Water Resources insurance. In August of 2023 my pipes were fixed but the follow up cement work was never finished. I called back then and got the run around. Twice they said they would call back. Fast forward the work was never completed . Recently we had a big storm and there is now mud pouring into the drain which will be a problem with rain. I have called American Water Resources 3 times in the past 2 weeks. I tell the girl who answers the phone. She finds my file, apologizes, puts me on hold for ****************************************************************************************** within 1/2 hour. The first time ( 2 weeks ago) she told me that someone would be out that day . I waited all day but it was a lie. I am being lied to and its wrong. I have seen many complaints about unfinished work . Could you help me with this problem? I do have to add, I had 2 broken pipes and there was cement work finished after the first repair, the second repair was larger and thats when the cement work was not done.

Just noticed that we are being billed for insurance we never signed up for, not sure how long this has been going on. Contacted the company and got the run around then was told it would take up to 2 months to stop the charges. Would appreciate all of our money refunded for these charges from the very beginning. Contacted the Iowa American Water *** also and they said they are not affiliated but they should have some responsibility for fraudulent practices such as these. The ***** charge is per. month but I need all previous months refunded as ******* one approved these charges.

I recorded and signed up for a water and sewer line protection on April 27, 2024. Every time I contacted American Water Resources, I had put them on a recorder. The following year on February 25, 2025, notice was given for a price increase from $47.76 to over $107.88, and for it to be paid by April 27, 2025. Because of the increase, I immediately called - while recording the conversation - and asked American Water Resources to reduce the cost; that if the price can't be lowered, to cancel or otherwise not renew the contract. This is on the recording. However, *** still charged my credit card for $107.88, and to justify the charge, they indicated I also brought a contract for electrical. This I learned after calling customer service on June 1, 2025. *** actually included a false contract to justify charing my credit card after I cancelled its contract for my water and sewer lines. Proof that I did not purchase the electrical contract can be heard on the recordings I have of April 27, 2024.

I am rejecting this response because: If BBB were to provide a way so it can hear the recording when I purchased the contract, BBB will see that there was not electrical line coverage discussed with American Water Resources to justify charging my credit card. Proof also can be found in the fact that no money was collected for the electrical contract when my account was being drafted for the 1) water and 2) sewer lines. AWR simply used my credit card without my permission after I told them I did not want to renew their contract because of the increase in cost. I do not like being taken advantage of.

They are also having a Ms. ******* act as thought she can't reach me by phone, despite my several returned calls to the phone number ************** ******* calls from; she doesn't pick up. In fact, while drafting this response, I made another call informing ******* again to email me at ********************** The call was made and ended at 6:37pm today, Thursday, June 12, 2025.

If you will, BBB, will you please inform Ms. ******* to contact me via email? Unlawful use of my credit card is illegal, and so compensation should be doubled.

      Best Regards,

Call back attempts were also remitted to Mr. ******** and have also remained unsuccessful as his phone goes straight to voicemail. Mr. ******** was enrolled in the Water Line and Sewer Line Protection Program and the ***************** Line Protection Program with AWR prior to cancellation. As *** has reviewed Mr.********* feedback, it was confirmed that enrollment, pricing, and payment with *** into the ***************** Line Protection plan on April 27, 2024,through customer care on a recorded line was valid. Upon his renewal,as the initial promotional rates were set to end, the current rate for programs were to be applied and he was billed accordingly. As this change was set to take place upon renewal, Mr. ******** was sent renewal notices via email and paper mail on February 25 and 26, 2025, and again on March 01 and 02, 2025,confirming the customers new price. Mr. ******** has since canceled all coverage with ***, and he was issued an electronic refund on June 03, 2025, for the overages paid for the year after cancellation to the payment method it was initially deducted from as provided by Mr. ******** for the ***************** Line Protection Program. Complaint: 23405537

I am rejecting this response because:
AMR unlawfully continued services after I indicated I no longer wanted to continue services for which I recorded. Moreover, they unlawfully access my new credit card number after I indicated I no longer wanted their services by contacting my credit card company which is also unlawful.

Furthermore, their statment is false with regard to their inability to contact me. If BBB take a look at my last written response to AWR, it will see that I gave *** my email and urged this company to contact me via email if it truly can't reach me by phone. I also called AMR at least twice and recorded the messges giving it my email.

AWR is very annoying. It needs to take it services elsewhere when people refuse to renew their contracts, and stop making people take their services. I will still maintain a demand for a refund of double the amount taken because of the unlawful use my credit card. In a court of law, the recordings will confirm the fraudulent transactions *** has made on my account. This could open the door to other people money that have been unlawfully taken.
