1 starI would keave a 0 but it's not an option. This company is harassing me with their sales pitches full of false information. I've asked them to stop. My HO insurance covers all the things they say it doesn't. If anyone knows about a class action lawsuit, I would like to be a part. This is a scam and I'm tired of being harassed.Review fromMaia G

1 starI paid for my dads account last year due being away with a physical check and I never sent them anything since. I now see they charged me ****** this year through my banking routing number. I never done anything with you people I didnt authorize it. Thats 110 percent illegal and fraud! And my dad called since the account was under his name and they said they will call him back to 24 - 48 hrs.Review fromLarry C

1 starI've paid a monthly fee for AWR's water and sewage insurance coverage for almost a decade. I figured it was worth the expense in case a larger plumbing issue should come up. Well I've just spent the past several days being given the runaround by *** ***resentatives (when I could even get them on the phone), told my claim would have to be escalated to a CA *** who would get back to me by email or phone (never did), then be told by the plumber they sent to evaluate the leak (a damaged toilet wax ring) that such a problem wasn't covered and that I'd have to make the ***air myself. When I tried (AGAIN) to get information about the coverage I was told (AGAIN) that they'd have someone "get back to me" (NEVER DID, AGAIN). This company has TERRIBLE customer service, TERRIBLE lines of communication, TERRIBLE everything. What a waste of money, but ****** learned. *** was recommended to me by **** (I'm an alumni) as a program they endorsed and which should therefore be considered trustworthy. Again, ****** LEARNED. Note: I will say that the plumber they contracted to send to me was a very nice a professional man whom I may very well hire to fix the wax ring. But as far as getting any reimbursement for the work from ***, forget about it. I only wish I could have my wasted money and time back, and that other non-suspecting prospective *** customers can learn from my mistake.Review fromLindsay M

Had this water line protection in ********* got a leak was told the plumbers was coming from *********** which is 2 hrs away from me they never showed up then got a call saying it was a preexisting leak so I told them to refund my money they said they would.i contacted my credit card company and got my refund in less than a day not wanting to trust these scammers don't waste your time or money

Waste of money, if something happens good luck getting any of the services you pay for every month, my aunt has been paying them for over 3 years and now that she needs the service she's been paying for they are giving her the run around, AWR is a joke, when she finally told them to give her all her money back they sent some woman who had no clue what she was doing and guess what, it's still not fixed.. this company should lose its business license, it's a scam.American Water Resources, LLC

1 starI took out the water line protection. I developed a leak in the water line and called them to report the claim. They did send someone out (*******************) to check it out and never heard from them again. Called and complained and they sent another company out (K&S) and was told it would cost ******* out of pocket because it was not covered in the policy. They wouldn't even speak to us. I called the next day and went off on them. Foreign people was all I ever got to talk to and I stayed on the phone for ***** minutes arguing with this woman that just would not give up. The end result was ......waiting for my refund of the policy which I paid the yearly payment. Told everyone I know not to waste time dealing with this so called company. Be aware.Review fromDeitra P

1 starOn 6/18/25, I filed a claim to ***lace my water heater and cancel my plumbing policy. The claim was filed and Inwas transferred to the loyalty department to cancel the other policy. The next day I find the *** canceled my heater policy and plumbing policy. I received no help and was told to call back the next day as my issue would be escalated to a manager. The resolution was we can give you the heater policy back at a higher price than what I was originally paying even though the cancellation was the fault of the company. They refused to honor the same policy i was enrolled in since 2022. Additionally I was charged twice for the heater policy and charged a service fee for the heater ***lacement and only refunded $10. So Im out $50 leaking water heater and no coverage at the fault of AWR. ******** customer service and business practicesReview fromDavid H

1 starIn June I received my water bill. It was approximately double my usual bill. I called and they said on 8 days I used over ***** gallons of water per day. I said thats impossible. I dont have a pool or a hot tub. I had just mowed my yard and there was no evidence of a sprinkler leak and I hadnt even turned my sprinklers on yet. They insisted I had a leak and made do some due diligence checks which I did. Their serviceman will come out 25th to check. They admitted to a neighbor they have had problems with their new water meters. However they refuse to give me a credit for the overcharge.Review fromLANETTE and SAUL L

1 starI have purchased a policy which covers outside electric. I have filed a claim and American Water Resources sent out their own electrician to look at the issue. They have sent the same electrician multiple times to look at the problem. I am very discouraged and feel that they are manipulating everything to delay the work being done. They still have not said they will approve their own electrician to do the work needed. I feel scammed and discouraged. It has now been 6 weeks that I have an electrical issue and American Water Resources has done nothing but continue to give the run around rather than approve the claim that I know is covered under the policy. Beware of before you purchase insurance with this company.
