1 starAmerican Water Resources sent a mailer out early June 2025 regarding our "Exterior water service line responsibility". The letter noted that our service line was "47 years" old, "could be subject to age-related wear and tear", and that "Homeowners may pay an average of $3855 to replace a water service line". The letter directed us to "Enroll Now" for waterline protection "for only $3.49 per month". We do not have a water line. We are on a well and have never had any connection to public water. "American Water Resources" uses the very same logo as the reputable American Water company, so extremely deceiving.Review fromSa G

I signed up for only the plumbing and water line. I just found out they signed me up for an additional plan on my water heater. So I have been paying 2 years for an additional plan I did not agree to. When I told them I just had to replace my water heater on emergency basis they would not cover it or give me money towards it. I told them to prove I signed up for the 2nd plan and they couldn't. Asked a supervisor to call me and so far no call. Scam!!American Water Resources, LLC

I recently purchased a water line and sewer line protection program for an annual fee of $149.88. However upon receiving plan I am informed the first year is only 11 months of coverage because there is a 30 day waiting period. This was not mentioned in the application. Either the period should be extended another month or the 1st year prorated since there is no coverage the first 30 days. Very deceptive. Upon reaching out to customer service, they understood but said there was nothing they could do, that is company policy. The 2nd year is a full 12 month policy.. I I have had coverage with this company, sewer line coverage. I have had problems with back up and slow draining drains. I have called them numerous times and paid my fee to have someone come out. They came out and supposedly repair the problem. However, Ive had a problem with back up in my shower and tub. The sewer line needs to be replaced. I had it scoped by another company, since I could not wait for their plumbers to come out due to the back up. I was towed there were bellies in the line. I told all of this to their agent who pretty much told me that the line would be covered due to wear and tear. I paid another $50 to have someone come out from their company. he checked it and was told he could scope the line. He sent them the video. After their review of the video, they stated they could not cover this line due to the bellies. This is ridiculous. That is a problem that is causing all of my back up. I feel that this company only wants to get the premium each month and does not care about repairing or replacing lines. Therefore, I have canceled my service with them and just want people to know they cannot depend on this company.American Water Resources, LLC

Beware!!! Purchased a home warranty for outside plumbing. Had to have sewer line replaced. Since I purchased the warranty they have not kept in touch and I was unaware that I should contact them first. I hired a plumber who provided a 5 year warranty and had been in business for 35 years, opposed to a guy from Superior Plumbing who had been in business for 2 years and provided a 3 month warranty they denied my claim. Talked with ***** **** ******, ***** ********, **** who provided claim number ******* and ***** ******** who told me to send information to him, which I did, and he said I would get a refund. Amount is $12,500. After info was sent could never get in touch with ***** and the last time I talked with Jayde she hung up on me. I sent pictures, Authorization request, Receipt and direct deposit info to ***** and Jayde. I feel they avoided responsibility by denying my claim and then evaded my request unfairly. According to their reviews they have provided this service to other customers so it would not have set a precedent. Thank you for your help.American Water Resources, LLC

They stole my money, sent different people to diagnose but never to fix the issue. I only had my main pipieline clogged from the basement pipe was the diagnoses. Already had spent my money on the insurance. They would not send out an actual person to fix the issue.American Water Resources, LLC

i have 2 accounts with this company since they started offering through water ***** my card had expired for the one account so i called and updated the info-on the same day that the bill was due-5/29. no one speaks english. you are routed to another personto pay the bill. okay card changed bill paid. until i find that the bill for ***** is now 27.55-due to a balance due. EXCEPT there was no balance due as it is a recurring charge to account. tried calling to get credit and i was told-no. so then i call to cancel the account and they give me a cancellation # that is same as account #. do not do business with this company as you can not speak with anyone who speaks proper english.American Water Resources, LLC

American Water Resources is not even worth one star. June invoice included a 78% increase in monthly premium. I immediately called to cancel my program and had to wait too long for the representative to finally cancel my service. They kept coming back with lower offers which I totally refused. A check on their web page shows a lot lower rate then they had me on. I only had one claim over probably 20 years and that time they claimed my repair was over their maximum coverage and I would have to pay the difference. After talking to a local plumber and our town building inspector it was evident that they overcharge for the service and they came down to the maximum.American Water Resources, LLC

I canceled my account for sewer line coverage days before the auto-renewal and I was told I would have to pay for the entire month in the month that I canceled. also the sewar line coverage basically doesn't cover anything. the exclusions are basically everything except the sewer line collapsing...which is a very rare occurance. It doesn't seem to cover preventive measures or basic drain cleaning.American Water Resources, LLC
