Poor customer service, they never contact you when you voice your concerns; When you call to follow up, they act like they have never spoken with you. I had an account with 5 properties covered, I couldn't access my account for almost a year, calling constantly seeking assistance. Every time I call, they "opened a ticket" with tech support. I have never heard from nor spoken with "tech support" and I still can't access my account. Reached the limit with my frustrations and cancelled my entire account. Waiting for prorated credit now, if I ever get it.American Water Resources, LLC

I received a letter from American Water Resources trying to get me to purchase their plan by scaring me that I am responsible for the water service line to my house. They cite Arizona Administrative Code R14-2-407, which makes property owners responsible for the maintenance of the water line running through their Property. That is not true and used to be misleading! The code states that the owner is responsible if the line is damaged due to neglect, carelessness or misuse. Regular wear and tear is on the utility! Beware of companies that use scare tactics!! Legal action should be brought by consumer protection!!American Water Resources, LLC

I subscribed to the sewer line protection program. I wanted to cancel the service after receiving an unexplained 45 percent increase in my premium. I contacted the company via email and by letter with no success. I had to cancel my credit card to stop the payments. Do not waste your money with this company. We had 5 different policies with this company and had been paying for over a year. We had several things done in our home. According to their policy and the (we record all phone conversations -but later cannot find them) person on the other line everything we had done was covered. Once we made the claims, a few days later they call us and tell us that they cannot anyone to come out and work on our problems and ask us to find our own. We did and had everything repaired and sent in the invoices only to have them return and say that our claims were denied. I have not used them yet for service. Just had difficulty getting through ordering the service to the point I had to cancel and just go online and order what I wanted myself. They had a promotion, so I called the company to order using the promotion number. However, I don't like monthly bills and wanted to pay it in full. I tried 3 times to get it paid in full, but they didn't do it. So, I canceled before I even used it and received my cancellation notice on 4/29/25. Today, 5/19/25, they took $212.76 out of my account for the service I cancelled. When I called, the supervisor, "****", says the system took it but also issued a refund that I have to wait for 2-3 weeks. I told ****, people program systems, so don't blame it on the system. He showed no sympathy for the predicament that I am in as I told him I have other bills that the money was supposed to be applied to. Now, I have to wait 2-3 weeks for something I didn't authorize to be paid. This is why I don't like giving companies my card number. They take what they want. Here is the real kicker, they told me I was getting a deal with the $212.76. However, I went online and ordered what I wanted on May 1st for $99 for the year. This company does not deserve any stars! They have a contract to advertise with ******************************* departments, in many cities, offering homeowners protection against costly repairs for water and sewer line repairs. They actually do ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to diagnose the problem and instruct sub-contracted companies to simply snake the line. They argue that the issue was resolved, yet a plumber is needed at my house every 2-3 months! ABSOLUTELY OUTRAGEOUS!! This is such a scam and the City of ******** is complicit in allowing this to go on and likely makes money from American Water Resources.American Water Resources, LLC

I had a water leak in my home. The company said they will not diagnose, locate, or cut into any surface to resolve the leak. Ninety percent of all plumbing is inside the walls. What good is this coverage if they won't go into the walls? In addition to the $50 charge to activate a claim with AWR,, you'll be out an additional $100 service charge contacting a plumber to locate and open up the surface for American Water Resources to perform the repair. What's the point? I cancelled my policy, not worth it in my opinion. **************** was very helpful and did not hassle me when cancelling.American Water Resources, LLC

What a horrible company to deal with. I have in-line plumbing and sewer protection with them. Ive been paying for a few years. Called on Monday for a clogged drain. After 20 minutes of trying to explain its not a leak but a clog. They finally said they would have a company come and look at it. They gave me the name and phone number of the company. Nobody showed up and nobody called. On Tuesday I called the company they were supposed to send out and the owner told me that he told them I was out of his area and also he quit doing business with them due to bad Practices. I called back. They said somebody would get back with me. Nobody ever got back with me on Tuesday. Today is Wednesday and I called them and they said they would expedite my claim and gave me a number of the company that would come out today. I called that number it ends up It is a moving company not a plumber. What horrible customer service!American Water Resources, LLC
