    We hired Ride Along Now to provide transportation service for a couple of our families that attend our school. They ended up failing to fulfill the contract which we had already paid for and now refuse to refund the money.

    Ridealong (RA) states that they transport children to and from school. Our childs new school is beyond the range that our school district provides transportation, so I contracted with RA for the 2022-23 school year. I made an initial deposit of $1399.20 in July 2022 and paid an additional $461.31 for service for the month of ********** ******* was delayed from the start of the school year (9.7.22) and for several weeks that RA attributed to a government-level backlog in securing driver clearances. Communication was extremely poor and RA frequently over-promised and under-delivered. After 5+ weeks into the school year, we still did not have a driver. When I inquired, ** stated that a driver would be assigned in a few more days. After waiting for a month for service, along with poor communication and broken trust, I terminated the contract via email in early October 2022. ** stated that they would process my refund 'immediately' and I have initiated communication several times regarding the status of the refund. I was told a check was issued and when I informed RA that I had not received the check, RA stated that they would check on the status. After several days, when I checked in again, ** said the check would be resent and they would provide a tracking number to monitor the process. As of this writing (12.28.22) I have not received the refund, nor have I received a tracking number as referenced by **. In short, we engaged with this company in good faith for a service that we never received and upon terminating and requesting a refund for services that we never received, the company has yet to issue our refund due. I am filing a formal complaint with the BBB and the ************ State ************************ because ** has failed to deliver the service it promised and to issue a refund.
