      DO NOT RENT FROM AVIS OR BUDGET KCI RUN FROM AVIS OR BUDGET AT *** DO NOT USE AVIS OR BUDGET HERE!!! ABSOLUTELY DECEPTIVE. Our reservation was to be $211.92 ...upon arrival, exhausted from flying the woman at the counter said choose between 3 vehicles all the same price. So we did & as ALWAYS DECLINED insurance. Return it full 3 days later get on a 3 hour flight and come home to an email receipt for $422!!!! Claiming we took insurance and UPGRADED!!!! Can't reach back the desk there so customer service FIFTY minute wait to be told we upgraded & took insurance & hung up on us .WE DID NO SUCH THING. of course the desk agent tells him to sign & apparently deceived him into signing the opposite. He's a 100% disabled Veteran and We called EVERY number possible. Their corporate office 100% DOES NOT CARE . Im reporting to the BBB

      I can assure you it was NOT resolved. An extremely rude, uncaring woman very blatantly said she would only offer a mere $50 refund after charging us $200 more than what we were quoted. We asked for a higher up but her response was that she was the almighty and no one else will do ANYTHING to make it right. I'll be contacting news ****************** organizations as well unless they right their wrong. Never ever have we ever been deceived this way . What an amazing **** they train their employees to perform.

      I rented with Avis via their **** drive program in Fall of 2024, and it was the worst experience imaginable. Corporate is unaware of what their franchise has going on. So, if there are issues, the franchise blames corporate and corporate blames the franchise. Then you're stuck bouncing calls between the two without any answers. In the end, there is no accountability on either end, and you're stuck with poor service. Avis is notorious for billing you and tacking on every fee they can think of. No explanation but they'll always say it was in the contract and it isn't. They do not set their customers up with success by having such poor communication with one another. I will not rent with them again.

      I have been a loyal AVIS PRESIDENT CLUB member for years, but my recent experience will be my last. After renting a vehicle, I was shocked to receive a $450 cleaning fee four days later for what they claimed was excessive trash and dirt. I am certain it was only normal wear and tear, as their terms and conditions state. The delay in billing also raises concerns about the accuracy of the charge. Additionally, the vehicle was not clean when I picked it up; there was trash in the glovebox and center console, and a sticky residue that I had to clean myself. This deceptive price gouging is why I will avoid AVIS in the future. DO BETTER!

      On Jan 21, my flight from ******* to ********** was cancelled due to weather. I went on Expedia and booked a Mystery Car may be gas hybrid EV or other as a one-way rental from *** to TRI so I could drive home.The total was quoted as $195.81, which is expensive for a 1 day rental, but it was last minute so that is understandable. The reservation was confirmed.When I arrived at the Avis counter, I showed the woman at the desk my reservation and she found it in her computer. She then told me that the car I booked was an electric vehicle and they were not allowed to be rented for one-way trips, so I had to pay $200 as an upgrade to a gas vehicle.I showed her my reservation that said Mystery Vehicle may be gas hybrid EV or other, and specifically reserved for a one-way trip, so she had to give me a vehicle that corresponded with my reservation: any vehicle available for a one way reservation Jan *****. The woman insisted that the Mystery Vehicle was Managers Choice and that the managers Choice was an electric vehicle (This was not advertised anywhere- not in my reservation confirmation nor at the desk). I told her I will take an electric car, because that was fine and my reservation said that was a possibility. But the woman told me that because the managers Choice - one that had apparently been made up on the spot- was a vehicle that could not be rented one-way, I had to pay $200 additional on top of my other payment to have a gas ********** reservation was made for Mystery car may be gas hybrid EV or other, which means ANY car, not JUST electric. And if an EV was all that was available, that was fine, Ill take it! But the woman at the desk said I was not allowed to take it for a one-way trips? My reservation was CONFIRMED for a one-way trip. And for ANY vehicle. As there was clearly a gas vehicle available, that should have satisfied my reservation. ATL Avis price gouged a $200 upgrade because of the weather. I will also report this to the BBB.

      Avis is consistently a terrible experience. I once rented a car for less than 24 hours and my credit card was charged upward of $14,000. I spent weeks calling customer service to have the charge removed. This was a business rental on a company credit card. Once youve made a reservation, Avis will not allow you to change the credit card over the phone or in the app. The only way to make the change is to go to the counter when youre at the airport. A human representative will not take a credit card over the phone. Super inconvenient for business travelers for tons of reasons. This happens consistently if you have a business credit card and a personal credit card in your Avis profile, it frequently selects the wrong one when booking. I was once given an electric vehicle that was not charged. Not being familiar with electric vehicles and not realizing how low the battery was, I was nearly stranded in the desert. Avis roadside assistance suggested that I call the desk at the airport rental office. Because clearly the rental agent from the airport 60 miles away could be of more help to me than roadside assistance. They later sent that rental to their loss prevention office, as though I had stolen the car that left me stranded. More phone calls to customer service to explain and set the record straight. On another occasion we reserved a large SUV for a family trip in the mountains. We were offered an upgrade to a minivan. No thanks. There were no other cars available and we waited more than an hour for a midsize SUV. At least they charged us a rate that reflected the smaller vehicle. I could go on and on. Overall a terrible company delivering consistently awful service. They are our provider for business trips so I have no choice, so Avis gets away with it.

      I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with my recent experiences at both the ****** and ******, ** locations of Budget Car Rental. On two separate occasions, these locations did not have the vehicle I had reserved, nor a similar ****** both locations, I was initially offered vehicles that were not even close to the type I had reserved. Despite explaining twice that the offered vehicles were not what I had reserved, I was still given no satisfactory option. Both vehicles offered had 8-cylinder engines, which defeated the purpose of my choosing a 4-cylinder vehicle for better fuel economy.Specifically, at the ****** location, I was only offered a Jeep Grand Cherokee, which has a larger engine and does not provide the same fuel efficiency. I was given no alternative option of a vehicle similar to a Kia ***** A ****** Altima is not similar to a Kia ***** One is a hatch back the other is a four-door car which has a truck. When I contacted *********************** and asked for compensation for the additional fuel costs, I was told by a representative that no compensation would be offered because I received an upgraded vehicle at no charge. This response is unacceptable.For two locations to fail in the same manner reflects a lack of ethics and reliability in their business practices. I would appreciate your prompt attention to this matter and a satisfactory resolution. I kindly request compensation for the additional fuel costs incurred due to these inadequate replacements.

      Reservations are booked based on our expected availability, however when vehicles are returned back late or returned damaged it can cause us to not have the availability we had expected. In these cases we will offer you the next class of vehicle we do have. We have checked our records and do not show that you were charged any upgrade fees on this rental.

      This misinformation led me to make unnecessary changes, costing me time and money. I trusted this company due to my long-term relationship with them, but theyve shown a lack of integrity and respect for their customers. Ive been renting from ********************** on Siegen lane for 8 months, spending over $12,000 during this time. Despite my loyalty, Ive been consistently misinformed about multiple issues. There is no such thing as a reservation when it comes to **** rentals, be prepared to be lied to about that. Avis can block your account for any reason and will lie and say its ****. Let me help you out and this comes from the supervisors mouth I have him on video and audio saying I dont care what **** or whoevers on that phone says I make up my own rules I will post some of the screenshots from time Avis blocked my account and lied and said it was ****. One of the most recent lies On multiple occasions, I was told by Avis that **** requires drivers to transition to an all-electric vehicle by 1/10/2025. However, after verifying with ****, I found this information to be completely false. No one can waste time finding a charger station, waiting in line for a 200 miles limit car. All I wanted was to keep a gas car. Sad too many lies. I will post videos on ******* and all platforms. I have over 55 screenshot and videos.I cannot recommend this company to other **** drivers or renters. Honesty and transparency are critical in this business, and Avis has failed on both fronts. I hope they take this feedback seriously and prioritize better communication with their customers

      I rented a car from Avis ask the manager can I leave my vehicle on the premises the manager said it was OK when I came to-check on my vehicle my vehicle. I ask the Manager where is my vehicle? She said it has been towed. I dont know why my vehicle was towed because no signs posted on the private property stating this is private property. Unauthorized vehicles will be towed. My vehicle was towed illegally

      Customers be aware!!! ********************** in ****** GA fraudulently stole $4300 off my debit card and Im not letting up about my money or my business account! I will soon file a police report also if my business account not back positive with my $4300 on there that I didnt approve of or authorized for Avis to take. This company is horrible and this is the Southlake location in *************** to be specific. is a pestilence in my life right now. Yall really take money off people cards that dont owe you anything right before the holidays.

      Our records show that your rental was only suppose to have been kept for 13 days but was instead kept for 31 days without extending. As the rental was past due our Loss Prevention Team did try to contact you about the past due status. As there attempts to contact you went unanswered we did have to hire a 3rd party repo team to repo the vehicle. The only extra charges were you billed was a late fee of $255.00 and a Loss Prevention/Repo team of $510.00.

      We rented a premiumSUV from AVIS at the ********************************** on Jan 7 2025.. They gave us a vehicle that was dirty (personal items left inside) and had worn tires that shook at highway speeds. We returned the vehicle on time, but they charged us an extra two hours. We have ******** to prove the time it was returned. **************** was not helpful in resolving this issue.
