      I was charged extra days and cannot get refunded. I keep getting the run around. I dropped off the rental car on time at 4:30pm for my 6:30pm flight. I was told to park in an area across from the actual parking ramp as they could not move any of the parked cars up. They were clearly behind in processing vehicles. I was told to leave my keys in the vehicle and they would take care of everything. I, along with about 30 other vehicles, proceeded to follow directions. We had to haul our suitcases up and over barriers to get into the parking ramp to get to our flights. Several people were standing around that could have been moving vehicles up and processed instead they were standing around watching. Several days later I received my "receipt" and was charged late fees as well as for two extra days. I tried calling the ****************************** location directly but could not get through. Then I called the customer service line and spoke to someone in the ******* who then informed me I needed a paper boarding pass. Everything is electronic through the app. How am I supposed to supply this? I was told I was going to receive a refund for the late fees and the two extra days and have seen nothing and it has been well a few weeks. My reservation number is 12884729US4. I rented the car from November 15th through the 17th but was charged through the 19th. I wrote to the customer service department and have heard nothing.

      I rented a vehicle from the *************** site from Dec 9-12, 2024 and was fraudulently charged fuel service fees.I specifically sought out an Avis attendant to check out the vehicle because I have been incorrectly charged a fuel service charge despite returning the vehicle with a full tank by Avis at various locations. **************** suggested I make sure I have an Avis attendant view the receipt to prevent this mischarging. So, I explained this to the attendant when I asked him to check out the vehicle and then showed him the fuel receipt. He acknowledged and said I would not be charged for fuel and then completed the check out. When I received my email receipt, however, it showed a massive $47.50 fuel charge! An Avis employee at the *************** location blatantly lied and falsified data to generate additional charges. This is a disgusting practice that unfortunately is not unique to this location.

      Rented a car and after turning it in on time was charged an additional day and extra fees. Called my credit card company and filed a dispute and submitted a trouble ticket with Avis. Took avis 4 days to respond and reimburse me. Then they did the same thing to my daughter. Must be a scam to see if youre paying attention to your charges. Please check your credit card for unauthorized charges!!!

      Like most, if I could give no stars or negative I would. I rented a from **********, LA airport pick up 12/01/24 till 12/13/24. After having the vehicle for a few days noticed there was an issue with the vehicle. I felt unsafe driving the vehicle. I called corporate, who told me to return the vehicle. Went to the location they told me I needed to put gas in the vehicle or I would be charged. I told them I did not feel safe driving the vehicle. They again told me I would be charged $100.00. Feeling that was ridiculous, I drove to the gas station to fill it up. On my way back to the location, I called corporate again to tell them. I was told I would get reimbursed for the fuel as they should not have done that. When I got back, the person behind the counter was not helpful. Long story short, I was told they did not have any cars, that they did not care what corporate said about me getting into a new car and basically I was out of luck. I am traveling for work, I am alone, in a state I am not familiar with. I ended up having to take a taxi and get another rental from a different rental company. When I called corporate a 3rd time, I was told they would refund the cost of the rental, reimburse my taxi rides and possibly reimbursement something else because I was at the location for over 2 hours. I was told this was escalated to an executive call back but to day I have not gotten any call or resolution. All I want is to be reimbursed for the rental, my time, the gas and taxi rides. It is a shame the Avis employees lack empathy/compassion and just overall being a decent human.

      I flew home to see my family around thanksgiving. I had the car from the November 21st to the 24th and only needed the car to get from the airport to my parents and back. I did not drive on dirt roads, eat in the car, drink in the car, or smoke in the car. I wish I would've taken a video of the car to prove this, but I felt so confident in how good of shape the car was upon its return that I didn't think it would be necessary to do so. I recently received an email and paper mail notice that I would be charged $450 due to the vehicle requiring a deep clean. This is more than I even had to pay for the rental itself. I have rented many cars and used them for longer than I had this one and have never had an issue with cleanliness. I pride myself on taking care of and being responsible for the rental. I can't see myself renting from Avis again as I have never had this issue with any other rental company.

      Charges $7.00 for tolls, but then $11.90 for a convenience fee. Scummy tactics to generate revenue. Charging more in fees than the actual tolls cost!

      Avis is going down hill fast. First, I prepaid and rented a 7-passenger SUV. Upon arrival, they gave me 2-door truck, which obviously did not work. What is the point of Avis Preferred and pre-paying if you do not get the car you pay for? Then, after waiting in like for awhile with 3 kids at 10pm, they gave me a Tahoe that was leaking oil. We had to pay damages to our ****** form the stains in the driveway and pictures to Avis as proof. Their customer service teams were AWFUL. Managers included. Mocked me, and only thing they did was try to provide me with a basic coupon for a future rental which I will never use. Not only did we have to pay damages for Avis renting us a damaged car, but it was also a safety liability. Please never use Avis if you can avoid it.

      I returned a car 2 hours early on November 25th. Handed the keys to the guy behind the desk. He walked out to check the gas level and for damage and I went with him. Perfect, as I returned more gas than they had given me. On THANKSGIVING, I receive a text telling me to return the car. I call their customer service and the representative assured me they show the car was returned on 11/25 and immediately rented back out. I asked for written confirmation as I don't want to be arrested for GRAND THEFT AUTO. I received a signature required letter on 12/7 . . . DEMANDING I RETURN THE CAR. I went into the rental agency yesterday and the same guy was there. He could do nothing but laugh and say "don't worry about it". REALLY? ??

      My husband reserved a car with Avis through ****. He is a driver. He received a confirmation from Avis. He called the morning of to confirm again that he was picking up a car and again Avis confirmed. He had to go 60 miles to pick it up and when he got there the manager of the Avis said they had no cars! In spite of a confirmed ************** one will take responsibility for this big mistake. Avis is about the worst! company, with the worst customer service. No one should rent from them!!!

      Rented an Avis car thru Expedia. Went to pick it up at the airport. No one at the Avis desk. Had to go out to the garage. Waited 40 minutes in the November cold to get the car. When I went to leave the garage, again no one there. After honking and waiting finally check me out. That in it self is a enough for a complaint but it gets much worse. After driving 3 hours we stop to eat, when we came out the car had a flat tire. There was no spare. It had some kind of inflation device that didn't work. Finnally Avis said they would tow it back. We had to contact a relative to pick us up and rented a car from another company. Over the next few day I spoke with the people from Avis and they said all was good and I had a zero dollar ******** and sent me an e-receipt. Three weeks later is see and my credit card was charged $1129.40. I received no notification from Avis or bill. I called them, absolutly no help. All they did was read from prepared scripts and send me in circles. Then convienently their computer system went down. The $1129.40 was for towing? Towing that I did not ask for or authorize. I was treated poorly and basically charged for the towing behind my back. My advice is to avoid Avis at all costs.

      Avis does not wish to deceive anyone we do our best to make sure that all pertinent information is made available to our customer within the terms and conditions of the rental contract. By way of explanation, at the check-out/start of each rental the rental sales agents is required to offer for a nominal fee the option to accept LDW, SLI or our Roadside safety net (***) coverage. The *** particular coverage eliminates roadside assistance cost such as; flat tires, jump starts & key lock outs and towing that may incur during the rental. The customer does not have the option to involve their personal roadside assistance provider due to liability concerns. Upon review of your rental details our records revealed that the *** coverage was declined. Therefore, because a 3rd party service partner was dispatched a cost was incurred and that fee is now your responsibility based on the terms of the rental contract. In light of the above information the charge assessed we found no errors in the charges rendered.
