Pattern of Complaints
Consumers have reached out to BBB with reports that they have received unordered products, sometimes after specifically requesting that products not be sent to them. There have been reports of difficulties returning products, not being credited for returned products and threats of being turned over to a collection agency.
On January 26, 2017, BBB contacted Environmental Safety International to address a possible pattern of complaints.
Environmental Safety International provided the information below to BBB:
“Our company does not send out any products from our company unless it goes through our shipping department and is recorded and confirmed. These recordings can be uploaded to the BBB whenever a complaint does come through. We only send products that have been agreed to be sent by the customer on audio recording. Also in response to customers reporting that we do not credit them for returned products, we cannot account for products that customers just give back to Post Office or Federal Express 30 to 60 days after they receive it without paying return postage to come back. Whenever a customer calls our company with a concern on returning a product we assist them in resolving the issue as easily as possible so they can return the merchandise.”
“Our company going forward will be recording every customer order before it leaves the building so that they are aware of what they are getting, how much it costs, what they are receiving and that will all be confirmed on audio recording.”
BBB will continue to monitor any incoming complaints to ensure the pattern does not continue.
