Hi ***,As discussed on your other account that you left a BBB review on, insurance charges are not hidden and can be canceled by customer request prior to payment as outlined in our conditions of sale. We are sorry you are upset with the decision and the signed helmet and would love to discuss further on another platform with our council to work something out for you. Thank you for your business.Review fromScott H

Horrible customer service after challenging a questionable auction listening the resorted to threatening legal, collections, and sharing my information with other auction sites. At no time did I say I was not going to pay. I was only challenging one listing out of the eight I won. **************** is not a thing with ********************. All of this for an extra $30. They win?Goldin Auctions

Hi *****,I am very sorry to hear about your experience and would love to discuss it. As an auction house, as you can imagine, deal with many customers that have complaints and then refuse to pay, so it is common for **************** Specialists to provide the customer with a "this is what will happen if you default" message. I see that the Lead offered his apologies and reiterated that he meant zero disrespect. We would love to provide you with an auction credit to offset the difference and will have our lead reach back out to you shortly. Your business is appreciated, thank you.Sincerely,The Goldin Team,Review fromJosh L

A criminal corporation which should be run out of the **** According to their "Grading with Goldin" advertisement, if you submit your cards and agree to sell them on Goldin, they will send them out to PSA to get graded and listed with a two-week turnaround. They claimed you could send up to 500 cards at one time. As a single mother of 2 under 2 who lost their father on ******'s Eve, I was excited to come across this- it meant I could still do what my fiancee and I planned and start a sports card business. Fast forward to 1 month later, I heard NOTHING from these guys so I emailed; first customer serice tells me that my box of 500 cards that was supposed to be graded and listed, was picked through- Goldin set aside 31 and was preparing to send me 469 back. OK, I emailed back and said I'd also like the 31 cards they had no business taking out, since that wasn't the deal. **************** emails back and all of a sudden the 31 weren't sent out, just put aside. I am on the fourth day of trying to get a real answer and my cards back- don't be like me.Goldin Auctions

Hi,First, my sincerest condolences for both your loss and your children's. I am very sorry to hear about your experience with Grading with Goldin, and our Customer Support team. I would love to elaborate a bit on why these cards were sent back. When we initially started Grading with Goldin we had no threshold and accepted all cards of all values. Over time, we saw that customers were spending more for grading than the cards would sell for, and believed that was an unethical practice. We since have implemented a threshold to ensure that we are as fair as possible to the customer. If it is determined that you have cards of a much lesser value than what it would cost to grade, we issue these back to the customer. Due to the uptick in volume, these communications were a lot more delayed than our normal turnaround time, and we are very sorry that you had to experience such a long wait time. I would love to discuss the outcome more, and make sure that you received everything you should have since. Please feel free to respond, or reach out to us directly at ********************************** Thank you.Review fromSamuel F

1 stari acknowledge that my complaint was only made recently regarding a purchase made two years ago, however the purchase was of 89 individual baseballs that only came with 'pre' certification from *******. it took that long for me to catalog and certify the collection. several ***** were not certified but my complaint was there was a particular ball, "*********************" single signed baseball, that was not found in the collection. the ****** ball was clearly listed in the description and because of the 'Pre' certification from ******* i had every justification to believe it was included. some of the ***** were unreadable and because it took this long to do all of the certifications, it took until now to find out 100% that the ball was NOT included. i would never have purchased this collection had the '*********************' ball not been part of it. when i finally raised the issue the other day, i was not only denied any sort of compensation or credit towards a future auction, but they said all of their records from that period were lost when they did something with their database. i find this out of character for an upstanding organization and my only path forward now is to simply post about this in every social media where Goldin Auctions are mentioned.Review fromStephenie L

Unable to make payment on website after attempting multiple modes of payment and multiple browsers. Contact form on website is cut off before someone trying to make contact can enter "submit". After waiting on hold on phone, voice prompt stated a representative would be with us soon, then switched to recording a voice message without informing the caller, thereby audio recording my household for multiple minutes without my knowledge or consent. Concerned about being charged for late payment through no fault of my own.Goldin Auctions

1 starWas lied to and cheated out of thousands, requested further auctions be taken down. Goldin did not research value for starting bid or include me in the process. I was told I could not set a reserve unless value was over 1 million. Regardless of value they chose their own starting bid much lower than minimum value. I requested pull down my remaining auctions they hadn't closed. They also just bought PSA grading and set up a program to scam individuals to submit grading thru them with a 2 week turnaround as long as auctioned on their site. They need to be investigated for scam and conflict of interest.I will ensure market is aware of these criminal actionsReview fromTony C

5 starsI had the most wonderful experience with Goldin auctions thanks to my point of contact, *********************, their VP of consignment services. The auction format was similar to others I have used, but their customer service stood so far above the pack, that I would not consider another place to sell my collection than this company. ***** was beyond responsive, and always consistent, made time on phone to explain things to me and gave me solid advice- and It wasnt just sell your cards with Goldin, or sell your cards with me and do it now, it was quite the opposite more like if a good friend or family member had all this knowledge of trends in an industry and them telling you about their experiences, what theyve seen, then allowing you the time to make that final decision on your own.His consistency did not change post-sale, and straight up, I recommend anyone posting negative reviews about this company to honestly give them a second chance, but contact ************** and you will see what Im talking about. -and fyi, Im far from some big fish of a client. My transaction wasnt smooth sailing either, there was a delay with their payment processing company Stripe and it was very frustrating for me to deal with them (stripe). Several weeks delay actually. It took one email to ***** explaining this frustration- on a weekend- and he and another Golding employee, *****************************, had solution and within 2 days payment posted to my account.I guess my review here is based solely on two individuals and not an entire company but regardless, they represent Goldin and are all I know about them.Review fromEric D.

1 starSellers please read the email trail below.Goldin: - Hey ****,Card is back from grading, will be in our Holiday auction - Rookie Card (#1/1) NM 7 Me: It got a NM 7? That stinks what are the dates of the Holiday Auction?Goldin: Holiday runs 12/19-1/5/23 Me: Got it.Me: Hello *****,Happy Holidays - Based on your email above it looks like my one of one is going ** in Holiday Auction starting Monday!!! - Hoping he keeps winning and makes the playoffs. Thank you,Me: Also it looks like someone else put a card up very similar to mine and only got $600.00. If you think that is what mine will go for i would prefer to hold off and not sell the card at this time. Please feel free to call me to discuss.Goldin: Hi ****,My apologies, I just went to inform my inventory team to remove your card from the upcoming Holiday auction and I saw that the card that sold for $600 was your card unfortunately. I see my internal notes putting this card into Holiday so I'm unsure how it got slotted into November, I'm looking in to this now Me: Thats a problem. So your telling me that card actually went up for auction before you even emailed me to let me know you got the card back from grading? And you no longer have my card and someone actually got my One of One for $600.00.Goldin: That's correct and I'm not sure how.For comparison, another one of one version of this card sold for $825 at a grade of 8.5.Me: Hello *****, please have someone call me. I would like to speak to someone about your error and get my one of one card back.Goldin: ****, We have a signed agreement on the card which I've attached. The winning bidder paid and the card has been sent to him. +**** pls review thread below.Me: Hello *****, So I had my lawyer look over the contract. You are correct we have a signed agreement that basically says you can lie directly to my face and there is nothing I can do about it. Happy HolidaysReview fromTyler M

1 starMy experience with Goldin Auctions was extremely disappointing. I had the highest graded version of the rarest color variation of a *************************** sports ticket. After Goldin writing a very poor description of why it was rare and desirable, doing a poor job of promoting my item, and then watering it down by including it in an auction with nearly 20 other tickets from the same athlete, my item sold for only $850 which was significantly less than the more common versions of the ticket sold for in other auctions this year. In addition, to add insult to injury, I was charged an outrageous amount of $300 for the *** grading fee. I recommend, unless you have a high dollar item expected to sell for $50,000+, choose a different auction company because they will not do any special promotion of your item. Other auction houses I contacted such as Heritage Auctions estimated my item should go for $2,000-$4,000+. In addition, it was deceptive to not tell me ahead of accepting my consignment how much I would be charged for the *** grading fee. Otherwise, I would have considered another auction house.
