Worst customer service experience I have ever experienced. Lied concerning delivery, warranty and resolving customer issues to upper management is non existent. ******* at the Live Oak location is a living Nightmare. Please do not use Hearing Life as a trusted provider, they cannot be trusted to provide you with anything but lies and unresolved issues.HearingLife

SCAMMER - PREYS ON ELDERLY! ILLEGAL PRACTICE *********************** at ******* ofc took advantage of my elderly mother who went in for new hearing aids. She told her she needed her personal information to search for credits so her out of pocket wouldn't be so high. This woman actually took out a loan for $2500 through ************** without her permission. She fraudulently opened an account & never told my mother what she was doing! My mother didn't realize what happened until she got home and read the documents. When my mother called to confront her, she was very condescending & gaslighted her. This woman is taking advantage of unknowing people! Please be careful & avoid this unethical company!! This company is now under fraud investigation.HearingLife

We apologize for the inconvenience you have reported. While we understand the authors frustration expressed in the rendition of events, our records indicate a very different and positive patient experience during her clinic visit; including verbal confirmations to proceed with all transactions. This company keeps calling me after I informed them politely numerous times not to call. The last call I received the person was rude and tried to be condescending and irritating. Do not do business with this company. Less than 1 star should be an option for company's such as these.HearingLife

This vendor, in the person of the office manager ******, is despicable. The hearing aids were sold with the offer of free return within 30 days. They were returned in seven days. My mom, who purchased the devices, could not make the return in person. I did it for her. Owing to HIPPA rules, my mom had to sign a form so I could act in her stead. The manager tried to refuse to give me the paper. In front of other patients, she shouted that I was more likely to forge my mom's name than to drive the few blocks round trip required to get my mom's signature. Desperate to keep a $5,000+ sale, she attacked me as a liar and a fraud. They still haven't returned the money. A sign in the office advises audio and video recording of all visits for "training purposes." The regional office defended this ogre. They said she followed their protocol. Their protocol, it seems, is to attack and insult anyone returning their product per their terms.Great product, miserable people.HearingLife

Thank you for your inquiry. We value our patient relationships and strive to provide excellent customer service and quality service to all our patients. We apologize for the inconvenience you have reported. HearingLife abides by the **************** Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) in protecting patients Protected Health Information (PHI) and assuring our patients privacy rights are respected. We routinely utilize an Authorization to Release Health Information form to confirm patients preferences of who may obtain their information. The hearing aid I bought through Hearing Life was fine, but I have been relentlessly robocalled by them ever since. I have asked them twice to stop calling. They stop for a while, then resume these daily robo calls.HearingLife

I cannot begin to express how disappointed I am in the Hearing **************** Center (a Hearing Life center) in ****** and *********, **. In October ***** my wife and I purchased expensive hearing aids. The contract on page 3 stated, After the trial period a member is allowed up to 3 visits within the first year at no cost. . We were told that this allowed us 3 free visits to tune up the hearing aids. In May of 2023 my wife and I want to have the hearing aids adjusted and checked. At the visit we were told there would be a charge. When we objected the audiologist stated that the phrase visits within the first year applied to Dec 31, 2022, the end of the calendar year of the purchase and not 12 months from transaction date. We then called the salesperson who did not call us back.According to ******* dictionary, Law Insider and other sources, the definition of this phrase Within one year as used herein means the year preceding the date of occurrence of this transaction. The definition of year is a period of 365 or 366 days.Based on their reaction I do not recommend this company to anyone looking for hearing aids. There are cheaper places where the service cannot be any worse than the Hearing **************** Center.************HearingLife

They are very deceptive in their business practices and do not explain to the patient what their agreement is stating. Our insurance company is in network with The Hearing Life company. Our discount through the insurance company is thousands of dollars. They are asking you to sign a document in the office stating we are waiving any discounts through our insurance. Why would anyone willingly sign something to pay more money! You have many elderly customers that you are taking advantage of.HearingLife

Thank you for your inquiry. We value our patient relationships and strive to provide excellent customer service and quality service to all our patients. We apologize for the inconvenience you have reported. Our billing department has completed a thorough investigation into this case and has confirmed that the clinic provided an estimate of patient financial responsibility in accordance with the insurance information that was available at the time of the appointment. In standard practice, precise financial responsibility is not known until after the insurance claim is processed through the insurance company. A patients financial responsibility is binding according to the signed financial responsibility agreement. We value all our patients and will continue provide maintenance, in-clinic services, and clinical care for the life of the hearing aids at no additional charge to assure appropriate benefit and function.Review fromVicki R

I am very upset with HearingLife for not verifying my insurance benefit directly, by telephone. The person only verified insurance online. I was lead to believe that my insurance would cover $2500 for each hearing aid. This did not happen. Insurance covered only $1933.49 of the $7500 charged. Now of course, HearingLife is requiring I pay the balance owed. If they would have done their due diligence and called my insurance, I would have known what my insurance would pay and would not have purchased these hearing aids. I would give the corporate office no stars if I could I ask the local office multiple times if they were sure and they could only go by what corporate had passed onto them. I do not blame the local office. They have been great.HearingLife

I am disturbed by a HearingLife commercial I just saw: The actor in a lab coat and accompanying text on the screen states: "We are requesting your participation in a special program called the 30-Day Risk-Free Challenge." This makes it sounds like they're doing a study of some sort, saying they are "seeking people with hearing difficulties to evaluate a new ... hearing aid," and stressing that "all hearing assessments are performed at no charge for those taking part in the challenge." HearingLife makes this seem like some sort of scientific study, but it looks like they're trying to rope unsuspecting people into a contract to purchase an expensive product that would be mighty hard to get out of.These "participants" are told they "must call... and to "get a pencil" to write down the number. Obviously, they are seeking older, tech-naive people who will (a) forget they can return the hearing aid if they don't want it and (b) are unable to go through the rigamarole to find out more about what they're getting themselves into. (The fine print includes *********** for complete details and restrictions" where you will no doubt get the hard sell and runaround. It also states "Information within this offer may vary or be subject to change," which sounds like a HUGE loophole.HearingLife

We thank you for letting us know your concerns. HearingLife offers hearing healthcare services that start with a complimentary hearing assessment. Should someone have hearing loss and benefit from a hearing aid, our licensed hearing care professionals will make a recommendation. and offer an in-office device demonstration. These devices offer cutting-edge technology to address a wide degree of hearing needs. If an individual chooses to purchase hearing instruments, we challenge them to use their devices over a 30 day risk-free trial period to get the most out of their new healthcare investment. We have found that reminding consumers to write down our number at the time of airing of the ** commercial helps to not only capture the number on the screen, but also keep it accessible should they have any questions at a future time. Any additional questions regarding this program can be answered by contacting **************.
