I made a reservation through Expedia to see my niece and nephew, whom I had not seen in 20 plus years. I began trying to cancel two days prior due to health issues. It is impossible to reach anyone to cancel, they answer the phone hello. And no one can speak very good English. Finally called Expedia, who said that someone would contact me within 72 hours. Someone from the hotel with slightly better English told me again to go to their website, of which there is none to be found. They charged me MORE than if I had actually stayed. Talked to Expedia again, who said I would be refunded within 10 business days and any further questions would need to be discussed with the hotel. Nearly three weeks later and nothing, so I called the hotel to talk to a manager, to which the man with very bad English said no stay, no pay, No manager or owner was available. How can I be charged MORE for a room I did not rent?

As the guest states in this complaint, Mountain Creek Resort is not the merchant of record for the purchase they made (Expedia is); So unfortunately, we do not have access to their payment or any of their information. The hotel referenced is owned privately and is simply adjacent to Mountain Creek Resort. Thank you.
