On July 14,2022, my wife and I attended a presentation at the Ramada Inn in ****** to assist us in terminating our timeshare ownership with Wyndham Resorts. Release Consulting was the company putting on the presentation. There were approximately 6-8 other couples who were there for the same reason. We signed a contract and paid $10,000 to terminate out timeshare ownership on July 1, 2023. That did not happen. Repeated phone calls to the company which is supposedly located in ********* ****** have indicated the phone line is temporarily unavailable. We were also given the salesman's cell phone number which the mailbox is full. To date we have not been able to contact this company for a resolution.Initial Complaint

I uploaded the contract I signed on 10/5/22 and have been unsuccessful in canceling. I notified them in writing via email. I made a stupid rash decision and legally due to being recently widowed, I am unable to dispose of any joint assets. I feel this company has not only taken advantage of me but have not been honest and can not be trusted. Their *************** is bogus. I have not traveled to ************ but suspect this is a private home address. There is no such address. The person who answers the phone does not have direct phone numbers for the ** office. The owner, ************************* does not return calls. I never sent them any information about my deed nor have they contacted ******. Yet, the agent *********************** nor **************** state the estoppel has been generated. ****** informed that they are the only one who can issue the estoppel. In fact the Release Consulting lied during the presentation that there is no way to cancel with Wynham. On August 18,2022 we were invited for dinner with a group of timeshare owners who are looking to cancel their timeshare. ************************* the director speak for an hour about how hard and almost impossible for an average person to cancel their timeshare. We were given the impression that they know the industry inside out and without their service we would be stuck with timeshare forever. We pay ********* for this service. I found out after the fact that we can cancel our timeshare for free. There are a %100 free option to cancel timeshare and they withhold the most important fact from us. I have contact them with certified mail, phone calls to ***************************, and emailed them at their website without any respond at all. It seemed that we have been duped and they are vanished with my money.Initial Complaint

We entered into a contract with Release Consulting 6/22/2022 and paid $6,001.23. The company stated they would verify title, set court date for time share company, attempt to release us from the timeshare.
We were instructed not to talk with our timeshare resort. We have since been contacted by a third party, *********, Release Consulting payed to complete the process to get us out of our timeshare. We were informed by Kirk we would receive a call from Orange Lake, our timeshare resort, based on the form he filled out on our behalf. We were instructed to answer the phone, listen to our options and tell them we wanted to get released from our timeshare. He said, Do not mention you are working with a third party because it will change the process. This information is not inline with what we were told at the presentation.
I have attempted to contact Blake without success. I have spoken to Steve who explained he was on vacation and would get the information to Blake. Steve said he would be back to work last Wednesday 8/3/2022 and would pass the information to Blake.
I also spoke with Michelle in customer support on 8/2/2022, and was told the information would be passed to Blake. I called them back to say I had not received a return call. I left a message. I then received a call back but the call was not connected and no message was left.
The process as explained to us is not the process taken. We were also told not to contact our Timeshare Resort as that would violate our contract. Now we know the only way to get out of it is to contact them, as the request is being done in our name, and not mention any third party as that would change the process.
There are also additional costs.
We are running out of time within the agreement to have all information to The Company. We are at a standstill as what to do next since we have not heard from Blake or another representative from Release Consulting.

In response to the complaint filed by ****** ********. We at Release Consulting have completed our work on Mrs. ********s case. Mrs. ******** is at title transfer unfortunately as the contract she signed states there may be additional transfer fees. The resort in question Holiday Inn has increased their internal transfer fees and she is responsible for said fee increase as stated in the contract she signed. We at Release Consulting are not asking her to pay us any additional money the funds are to be paid directly to Holiday Inn to finalize her removal.

We are disputing the representation from Release Consulting. We are aware of the additional fees to the resort. We were giving strict guidance not to contact our resort as they would take care of everything. We were also told in order for this to happen, Release Consulting would request a court date and when the representative from the resort did not show that would be the basis for us to get out of our resort. That was the justification for the fees we paid. Release Consulting did not represent us at all. They referred us to a third party who contacted the resort as though it was us making the request.
The information below is what we received to get out of our resort which is exactly what they told us not to do.
We are working on the surrender of your Orange Lake property/properties.
Please be advised that a request for the surrender of your timeshare properties has been issued to your resort. The request is from you as the owner, not Switch It as a third party. Please see the instructions below and let me know if you have any questions.
1. DO NOT mention a 3rd party or attorney representation. This can cause you to be disqualified or to pay additional fees.
2. Check email and answer phone calls. The resort should reach out to you within the next 14-17 days.
3. When you do hear from the resort, let them know you saw info regarding their program online and were hoping to be approved.
4. If approved, ask for detailed instructions and how long it will take to receive the paperwork needed to complete the process. If you are not approved, ask for the reasons why.
5. If you have not heard anything within the next two weeks, please call and You can simply say:
"Hello, I submitted a request online through Horizons and I am looking for an update on my surrender"
In our opinion, the presentation was unethical.

we have previously responded to the complaint. Unfortunately we will not be able to find a middle ground on this dispute. The client has a 3 day window to cancel the contract via a mutual release agreement. Even in their complaint they have made it clear they took 7 days to attempt to cancel their contracts.
