I was referred to ABC dent repair auto body shop to have repairs done to my antique classic vehicle. I had an accident in my vehicle at the beginning of July where my wheel came off the vehicle causing front driver side damage to my finder and rotor. *******, the owner of the shop, assured me that he could fix my vehicle without a problem and that he accepted insurance to complete repairs. The insurance company sent the first payment for repairs directly to me and I sent the payment to the repair shop through zelle in the amount of $1377.89. I was told by the insurance company that if the repair shop found more damages that they could send in an additional estimate and they would send a supplement payment. The repair shop found more damages and sent in an additional estimate over $4,000, due to the errors on the estimate and them wanting to send out an adjuster; the insurance company asked him to resend a corrected estimate. The owner of the shop became very upset and annoyed with their process and took his time re-sending in their request. Soon after I received a text from the owner ******* stating He would be closing shop because hes not able to maintain and that he would refund me all the money the insurance company paid to him excluding the cost of the fender that he had already purchased. ******* then backed down on his statement and said he wanted the insurance company to release his shop from the claim so that his shop would not be responsible for my vehicle and that he would be holding my vehicle until he was paid out for storing my vehicle. He finally gave me my vehicle but in worse shaped than it left. He wanted us to agree that we owed zero to each other and not giving me back the money paid by the insurance company so I could have another repair ******** my vehicle. To this day he refuses to refund my money and take his concern to the insurance company for the storage fees he's requesting.
