If I could leave a zero star review that would be more accurate! Dr. ****** was educated on how to read MRI results however he neglected to inform me that I have thyroid CANCER. I found out by accident nearly 3 years later, the cancer doubled from what was measured on the MRI results that Dr. ****** signed off on. The cancer spread to distant lymph nodes. It is apparent that the metastatic spread could of been avoided if Dr. ****** would of informed me that I have cancer. He refused to speak to me when I called his office. He had his office staff relay the message that I had a cyst on my nose and should see an ENT doctor. His message to me was to look in the phone book for a plastic surgeon to operate on the infection I had from previous dental surgery. Dr. ****** never once mentioned the large thyroid nodule that was found. He was educated to know a nodule that size indicates cancer. I was referred to him because he is supposed to be an oral surgeon and if the tests indicated that I had an infection he would be the doctor to operate on me to remove the infection. Dr. ****** refused to operate on me. I found a qualified oral surgeon to operate on me, an oral surgeon who has a degree as a medical doctor and a dentist. Dr. ****** only has a dental degree. Dr. ****** was the ordering physician who signed off on my MRI results. He had a duty to inform me of the findings. Dr. ****** refuses to take responsibility for his failure and now blames others for his incompetence

I met with Oral Surgeon, ***************************************** on July 18, 2022. We consulted about his recommendations, based on the referral from my dentist stating that I was allergic to anesthesia. Dr. ********************** said he understood my concern. A few years prior he did implant surgery for me without anesthesia and was familiar with my situation. On 07/27/2022 I went to his office for my scheduled appointment. It was then that I was informed by (*****) that the doctor was not in the office. I would have to have anesthesia, and I would have to pay $6,891.90 immediately or my procedure would be canceled. As an 84year-old senior in pain, I charged it on my credit card. I was so confused when I left the office and felt I had been coerced into making this decision. I called the following day to cancel the procedure. (*****) said it might *********** to 8 weeks to get a refund which made me very nervous. On 8/10/22 a partial refund was credited for $6,654.40, less $237.50. Since no services were rendered, and deceptive practices were used to require anesthesia, I felt mentally stressed and abused.I consulted with three other Oral Surgeons and was informed that they would never use anesthesia unless requested and preferred the patient to be awake and aware during the procedure. They also stated that it was unethical to charge until the day of the procedure.I have since made arrangements with another Oral Surgeon and have begun consultation and planning without having to pay until the implant surgery is performed. This was definitely a form of elder abuse since I was in pain and panicked at the moment and no services were provided. I would not recommend Nevada Oral & Facial Surgery because of the stress I had to endure while in pain.
