On July 15, 2022, ****** Garage Door installed a new Garage Door Opener in my house. I paid the company $675.00 dollars. On July 18, 2022 the Garage Door Opener was not working. It will not close the garage door and the (unit) Garage Door Opener was just blinking. I called the company about the problem and they scheduled to send a technician to check it on July 27, 2022.
The technician came on July 27 around 4:00 PM and said he reset the unit and that it should not have any problem. The Garage Door Opener worked while the technician was present. However, after One Hour, I tried to leave the house for an appointment but the garage door DOES NOT CLOSE AGAIN AND THE UNIT WAS JUST BLINKING. The only way I could leave was to PRESS THE WALL SWITCH CONTINUOUSLY from the inside of the garage in order for the garage door to close. I then have to use my regular house door to go outside to my car.
I sent a text message and email ON JULY 27, 2022 to the company and mentioned what has happened. I also mentioned that the Garage Door opener must be defective because of what was happening and that THEY SHOULD REPLACE IT.
I waited until 3:45 PM of July 28, 2022 for any response but I HAVE NOT RECEIVED any response from the company. It seems they are ignoring the problem I am experiencing with their product and service.

    Business Response /* (1000, 6, 2022/08/02) */
    Hi,
We will refund the $675 if you want. But we will have to stop by and remove our equipment from your home before we do this.
It is my recommendation to have our technician stop by tomorrow morning (Wednesday) and find out what the issue is.
These units are the highest quality units in the market right now and are not prone to these type of problems.
I must apologize for delayed response - I have been out of town and am just now returning to my desk. You may call me directly - ************ Ask for Brandon.

    Consumer Response /* (3000, 8, 2022/08/03) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
I will let Martin Garage remove their equipment but they have to put back the garage door opener that they removed. I want them to give me the refund at the same time. I have a scheduled doctor's appointment on Wednesday August 3, 2022 so I will call Mr. Branddon to schedule when they can come a removed their equipment.
I do not trust their technician and equipment so I just for them to remove it and give me my full refund.

    Business Response /* (4000, 10, 2022/08/04) */
    Hi,
We have Mr. ******** on the schedule today. This is an appointment we scheduled with him on 7/30/22 when he called in for warranty work.
If he will have us then we will do the following:
    - Make necessary attempts to cure all motor issues with the new equipment
    - Educate customer on home owner responsibilities related to garage door motor maintenance and proper operation
If these attempts fail to satisfy Mr. ******** then we will remove our equipment and refund the $675.00.
***NOTE*** The old motor we removed from the property had multiple bad parts. It has actually be disposed of at this point and is not salvageable.
If we remove our equipment the Mr. ******** will be on his own to contract with us or another licensed garage door company to have a new garage door motor installed.
    Thanks,
