I bought an electric car several months ago and after finally getting the vehicle registered I was able to apply for the electric vehicle rate. Took two months from application to get the rate adjusted. I moved to another location in the city a couple months ago and wrongly assumed that since I was already on that rate that a transfer of service would simply carry over the rate. Got my first months bill and immediately realized I wasn't on the lower rate. Called customer service and they told me to reapply and after one to two billing cycles they would approve or disapprove the request. This business practices is shady at best. NV Energy should be ashamed of the way they squeeze money out of their customers!

I have made multiple attempts via email and phone to speak with someone about my energy usage....SINCE NOVEMBER 2022! My bills are consistently $100 more per month when compared to previous year(s) and in some cases they have doubled or more than doubled.
      THIS IS ABSOLUTE ********!
I am gone 7-10 days per month and the house is empty, thermostat is set at 50 degrees, I'm wearing a jacket and hat inside my home because I'm afraid to turn up my heat above 63-65 degrees due to these astronomical bills, I live alone, 1,800 sq ft house, new windows, new insulation, lowered water heater temp, run dishwasher once a week, doing laundry with cold water, and a myriad of other things that should not equate to $250 monthly energy bills.
My repeated attempts to contact NV Energy about this have been ignored. I keep getting a reply to contact customer service but the hold times are ridiculous and the one person I finally reached was clueless. I did open a case with this one customer service rep to have my meter checked but I've received no case #, no follow-up....nothing!
I understand costs have increased but double?
NV ENERGY HAS FAILED!!! THESE ENERGY COSTS ARE OUTRAGEOUS!!!!
AND THE CUSTOMER SERVICE IS TERRIBLE!!!!
I FEEL WE ARE GETTING GOUGED AND CHEATED BY NV ENERGY!!!

I am being charged $410 to Nevada Energy for my 1 bedroom apartment in a senior retirement living community. My NV energy bill last year was $167 , next month it's projected to be over $400 because NV Energy claims it's a space heater but I don't use a space heater because Las Vegas doesn't get cold enough to where I have to constantly run a heater all day. I am disabled veterans on a fix income.

The flex pay option is a joke. I was told its best so that I dont pay for any charges I dont approve and can see what I spend etc. They turn your power off immediately no grace ****** if your balance goes belies $20. Even after its paid it takes forever for them to restore and they never have representatives available to talk. *** called before and chose to get a call back in about 30 mins and never got a call, then when I called twice and waited for 20 mins each time they had a recorded message saying that theyre too busy and hang up on you. Meanwhile leaving the customer without ********************** after payment and no confirmation of when it will be restored. I hate this company they are the worst Ive ever had to deal with from any utility company. They dont care at all about their customers and know we need power and there is nothing we can do about it.

Horrible customer service. Found out today through a credit check that I had a past due balance on one of my rental properties from a year and half ago. Nothing in the mail, no phone calls nothing to alert me. When I called they said, you have paperless billing so you wont have got a notice. Then how am I supposed to know I owe any money? Been trying to make an automated payment for 3 hours since they wont take payment on the phone. Horrible!

I have been a customer for 14 years without any late payments etc. somehow, I was put on electronic billing. I am a senior and don't always check my email. All said, I received a shut off notice - for the next day. I tried calling to resolve the matter and was disconnected 5x. it was not until I contacted the Nevada PUC did I get action from them. I am on Social Security and I was asking for one day later than their demand. I went the next day to pay at ************************************************. I was met with a locked door and a kiosk that was out of order. The signs indicated there is a sir charge which means this is a profit center. There were no signs other than pay and nothing if you are handicapped and need help. Did anyone assist me - no. I went on a journey to find a pay station and finally found one at Smiths. I then found out you cannot pay with a credit card and only with debit card. This was a very frustrating experience. I used to hold ************************* and his companies in the highest regard, but no more. even when you want to pay, they make it very hard. Nv Energy has over paid employees that are lazy and does not care of your situation.

You don't get a choice when it comes to which energy company you have depending on where you live so I can't say I would ever choose NV Energy to be my energy company. I've been faithfully paying my energy bill for about 5 years with no issues, and I miss 2 payments- TWO and I end up paying almost 500 dollars out of pocket for a "security deposit" considering the payments bounced. As any law-abiding citizen would do, I immediately paid these two missed payments the two separate times I realized I missed them. I didn't wait. These institutions want to bleed dry the very people that keep them going. I had the money, and I took care of it and they punish me. They didn't even get a chance to turn off the power because I paid it before things got bad. I had the money, and I have the money now to pay it off but I can just imagine someone worse off than me, in the situation I'm in being told that they'd have to pay twice the amount for their energy bill when they're surely scraping by in the first place. These people are heartless. Latisha- a supervisor I was forwarded to- was cold and calculating as I'm sure she was with the many people that begged and pleaded with her to waive a fee so they can have the money they need to make it another day. They don't care- this company is run by sharks and I hope they get what they give the people that are just trying to live their lives.

Fraudulent company and buyers be aware! I was a customer for 4 years, always paid my bill in full and prior to the due date. I recently decided to move out of state and I called NV Energy prior to my move to ensure that I left in good standing. I received my final bill and when I called back within days to make arrangements they told me they wouldn't accept anything from me and plan to send me to collections! I was shocked! I tried to reason with the supervisor about why I'm being sent to collections despite being a perfect customer for years and she said that's their policy for any closed account. It felt like because I moved out of state and no longer needed their services that they decided to be very immature and petty. I asked how could they send me to collections when I've never missed a payment? They couldn't answer or compromise with me.
