I received a letter in the mail and on 1/15/24 about student loan relief. I called with my benefit ID number **********. I spoke to a person named ******************* who gave me his cell number ************. He stated He was with the department of education and I was approved for a forgiveness loan. He told me ****** would be forgiven and I would owe ****** with no interest. He said I would pay $299 on 2/9/24, 299 on 3/11/24 and 299 on 4/9/23 and on the 23rd of each month ***** would be due over the next 120 months. I asked him will the ***** be going towards the ****** left on my student loan? and he told me YES. I said you are with the ********** of ********** He said Yes again. Everything has been a lie I have made all the 4 payments just to learn that they are a scam. I called my loan holder ****** and they told me they've heard of Superior Servicing LLC and they are a scam and none of my payments went towards my loan and ****** was not forgiven. ****** told me ive been under the save program since 2019 due to Covid. I want a full refund of ****** and I want my contract to be ended without any hits on my credit. The rep **** ******* lied to me and if the calls are recoded you will hear it! I have been lied to, robbed and completely tricked. **** *******, Superior LLC and other agents have ruined my peace of mind! its beyond the contract people are rushed to sign its whats being told to us in the midst of the call and the impact it leaves. I want a resolution now before I have to take legal action. Listen to the call and see what he told me. Yes we all see the contract now but its everything misleading not one time did any agent mention its just paper processing. I was told my student loan was forgiven by ****** and the ***** each month is going towards the rest of the debt ******. I cant make these numbers up. IN THE NAME OF MY **** AND SAVIOR *********************** THIS WILL BE RESOLVED AND VICTORY WILL BE MINE. I WILL GET WHATS OWED TO ME AND THE **** WILL GO BEFORE ME.AMEN

I received a "final notice" letter regarding my student loan consolidation. I was under the impression that they were working with EDfinancial and could consolidate my loans for me and the money that was agreed upon would be going TOWARD my student loan account. I was told that I could do 3 payments of $299 with the first payment coming out in November and the other two, two weeks following. After those payments, I was advised that I could get my payments to $49 per month with an "agreement" of 240 months and then my loan would then be completely paid off. They have since been taking this money out of my account and it was not until today that I received another letter stating "final notice" regarding my loans. I logged into my EDfinancial and found that none of my payments that I thought were going toward my loans have not actually been made and I was paying this "company" money. I signed paperwork while I was on the phone because they had all of my information already so I had no reason to believe this was a scam. I have since found otherwise and when called, I was told "we do not work with EDfinancial, we just help get you set up on loan consolidation". Which makes absolutely zero sense.

I was sent a letter by Superior Servicing LLC in November, and the associate whom I spoke to claimed to be working for/with the ********** of ********** The person I spoke with stated that they could enter me into not only a loan consolidation program but also an income-driven repayment plan. Both of which I had not been enrolled in because I later had to do it through official channels. I was told that this bill for filing would be $799 and that I would be making $49 payments each month towards my loan repayment. After confirming that these weren't getting put towards my loans, I did some investigating and found that I was not receiving any benefits for what I was paying for. It is evident in my discussion with the associate, I was misled. I do not believe that this company was being entirely truthful with me. I am unsatisfied with this service and I would like to be compensated for my loss.

The First transaction occurred on November 8th for ****** dollars, followed by a charge of ***** the next five months on the dates of November 21st, December 21st, January 22nd, February 21st, and March 21st. I finally realized today after an alert that I was charged ***** and placed a stop order with my bank which will stop the most recent charge. The process began with a letter offering me assistance on the **** program, attached was a number to call and speak with someone about filling out an application. The letter also warned of an upcoming deadline in which I had to apply to the **** program by and was worded in a way which lead me to believe it was from the government. When I spoke to the representative on the phone, he too seemed to work for the government, as he filled out the application for me! We finished the application, and he told me my new monthly payment, after acceptance to the program, would be 280$ down from 450$ and I would be saving over 10,000$ in total so I was happy to pay the small fee of 800, I thought, to consolidate my loans. I was told now all I had to do was print out the documents and send them to my provider, ******. I called back to get an update as I believed I was dealing directly with the federal government but they told me I had to wait for ****** to approve my application. After months of waiting I finally was able to find out through Mohela my IDR application had been rejected, thats when I knew I was scammed. I realized today after an alert that they were taking ***** out of my account every month. I would never had paid 800 for these racketeers to fill out an application, and ***** for what, what are these charges for? my application was rejected. Scamming students suffocating in debt? You are not a business, have no ethics, and should be illegal. You are scamming people, specifically, with careers in public service. You all are the lowest of the low, there is a special place for all of you, and you know where that is.

I was called a couple months ago by Superior Servicing LLC and they claimed to work for the government to help me repay my student loans. They had my information so I thought it was legitimate and payed them the $897 down and $49 per month. After waiting a few months I realized that my credit didnt show towards my student debt my initial payment and I was getting emails from my loan provider saying I was late on payments. This is when I knew it was fraud. This immediately gave me a bunch of anxiety because I worked so hard to be able to even afford the $800. I tried to call and email superior servicing and they ignore me every time. I called my bank to file dispute but they were claiming since I allowed the payment they couldnt help me. This company has scammed me and left me feeling helpless. They took 4 different payments from my checking account I have all documents with me to show evidence.

I was sent a letter that said my student loans could be drastically reduced or even forgiven. I called the number on the letter. It was a company out of ********* called Superior Servicing. The ********************* informed me they could get my student loans decreased and/or forgiven altogether. And I could pay $49/mo after a $299 initial fee. The paperwork they send has the **** of ********* stamp on the top left. The paperwork had a random phone # that wasnt mine so whoevers # it was would get the texts for password changes, authorization, they even changed my FAFSA ID and password so they could have access to what they needed to. Just so everyone is aware your loan servicer who owns your student loans will do all your paperwork for free and that includes them reaching out to you for recertification every year. Superior Servicing never once explained they were a part of the **** of education and never once explained you can get everything they do done for free with your student loan servicer through the actual **** of education. I work with ED ********* now for my loans and they said my log in and password was changed by a third party without consent. This is disturbing. While Superior Servicing promises to provide a service to file the paperwork and get a better monthly payment what they withhold from you is that you can get all that done for free with the same low (sometimes even $0/mo) monthly payment and paperwork all done for free through your loan servicer, including recertification annually. For free. My process with ED ********* for my loans was way more simple, professional, and legal. They did all the work for me for free. Superior Servicing takes forever to get back to you. Asks you for codes you shouldnt be giving to them for access to your FAFSA account, and then claims you signed a contract. Learn from my mistakes.

They just posted all my personal information in a PDF to the BBB website which is a public forum. I say in my original complaint that I signed a contract but its for services that are free through my loan servicer. They made it sound like the payments listed in the contract were towards my loan except for the $299 fee. This is misleading. They also never said this can be done for free through your loan servicer. Why charge for paperwork that your loan servicer does for free unless youre trying to scam people Please have them remove my private information including SSN, address etc that is listed in the agreement they posted.

    ****,

Per the BBB website, once a complaint is resolved only the text of the complaint is revealed to public view, not any attached documents; That is only viewable by the BBB and its employees. There are many services you can do for free, like doing your own taxes, and yet companies provide these services for a fee. Also, we are not aware of any scams that reply to complaints and call clients to provide them with a refund. There is no need to keep going back and forth with us, as we have already resolved this matter with you. We spoke to you over the phone on a recorded line to go over our refund policy, and have mailed you your refund check, which you should be receiving by 5/10/24. At this point in time, there is nothing more we can do for you.

My name is *****************************, I am in complete confusion and awe of this company (www.Superior servicing.net ) In October 2023, I received some correspondence from this company, that had been sent to me by the ********** of ********** This company would oversee handing over my student loan and they offered to help me if I paid them the sum of $799.00 for document processing that I paid in October and November 2023 and monthly payment start on November 17th, 2023, of $49.00; therefore, In the next 90 days they would resolve my loan with the Education **********. This seemed reasonable to me since my financial situation is limited and after the pandemic everything is very expensive. Last month received a letter from the ********** of ********** and when I called, they told me that they never received anything from this company; therefore, I have paid more than $1,050.00 since October 2023, and I do not know where the money is. I have been trying to contact someone at that company for more than a month and I have not been able to speak to anyone and they do not respond the emails. We need a favor because this kind of company (Superior Servicing) should go away and refund all the people they scammed their stolen money. Please help me, help all of us who have been deceived by this company to get what's rightly ours and to protect us from this happening again.

I was contacted by Superior Servicing regarding my student loan. They knew my balance and all those details about it so I thought they were legitimate. I agreed to pay $1000 over three months and then $49 a month until it was paid off. About $15000 roughly. Then several months later I get mail from Edfinancial, a firm working directly with the ***** of ********* saying that no payments have been made. I researched Superior and found that they don't collect money for the ***** of *********. I would like a refund for the $49 taken from my checking account from Sept 23 to March 23 as well as the $1000 taken from me the 3 months previous to that.

Like many others have stated, Superior Servicing LLC misled me into thinking they would be paying off my student loans for a small monthly price of $49 until my loan was ultimately forgiven through the SAVE plan. They have not made any payment towards my student loans and have continued to charge me a monthly fee despite not rendering any services. While I acknowledge I fail for this scam, I have yet to be able to stop these payments in any meaningful way. I have not been able to get through on the phone, I have no contact information, and the company is otherwise unreachable. I have not heard from them since we first consolidated my accounts, and while I thought my monthly charge was going towards my student loan repayment, this has not been the case. I would like for them to immediately cease charging to my account and have been in touch with the appropriate departments within my bank to prevent this from happening moving forward. A written letter sent on 2/12/24 was not replied to or honored, with another payment being drawn on 3/11/24. I am now hundreds of dollars behind on repayment as a result, not to mention the amount of money Superior Services charged me while presenting itself to be acting as a government authority with complete access and knowledge of my accounts. This practice is predatory and while they may squeeze through every small legal crack available, the fact that they have ignored my written request to end payments despite indicating within the contract that's exactly what I should do is beyond acceptable.

    Hello *******,

All our calls are recorded and we have attached the service agreement you signed with us. We never claimed we would enroll you in the SAVE program, we had enrolled you with us so we could prepare your federal documents in order for your loans to be consolidated, which would then lower your monthly payments for your student loans. All you had to do was print, sign, date, and mail those documents for the consolidation to take place. We did this for a flat fee of $899 which was split into 2 payments, and your last payment you made to us was on 10/16/23. We never told you anything in regards to paying $49, and have no record of charging you that amount. We will be reaching out to you to resolve this matter. Paid this scam business over ***** dollars for them to consolidate my student loans and try and get approved for lower payments per month and after 10 years gain some loan forgiveness. This company is a scam and I learned the hard way. After reading everyones complaint on here, my story is the exact same as theres. Money I could have used toward my actual student loans were stolen from me on this fake scam company about consolidating student loans.

Customer reviews posted on/after July 5, 2024, will be published indefinitely unless otherwise voluntarily retracted by the user who submitted the content, or BBB no longer believes the review is authentic. BBB Business Profiles are subject to change at any time. If you choose to do business with this company, please let them know that you checked their record with BBB.

As a matter of policy, BBB does not endorse any product, service or business. Businesses are under no obligation to seek BBB accreditation, and some businesses are not accredited because they have not sought BBB accreditation. BBB charges a fee for BBB Accreditation. This fee supports BBB's efforts to fulfill its mission of advancing marketplace trust.
