I downloaded his app. After a week I deleted the app and canceled my subscription. They went and charged my checking account. I went and attempted to cancel my subscription on their website but instead have frozen it to prevent me from canceling. I have e-mailed them to cancel and instead send me back to their website to cancel.Business Response

I signed up for Unimeal so that I could use the weight tracker, meal planning and fitness parts of the app. I signed on for a plan for $19.99/month on December 6, 2023. This was a 1 month subscription with automatic monthly renewal until canceled. On May 20, 2024, I was going through credit card statements and realized that I was charged the following each month by Unimeal.12/6/23: $9.99 12/6/23: $19.99 12/6/23: $26.28 1/6/24: $49.98 2/5/24: $49.98 3/6/24: $49.98 4/5/24: $49.98 5/5/24: $49.98 As you can see, I was overcharged every single month of the subscription. I reached out multiple times to the company, but they never responded to my inquiries. I disputed the portions of the each monthly charge that exceeded $19.99 with my credit card company, but Unimeal is making the process incredibly difficult. In fact, though I was only disputing the charge amount above $19.99, they immediately canceled my subscription without any notice. As I was in the middle of the program, on May 29, 2024, I attempted to resubscribe to the $19.99 program, and was charged a total of $55.96 in two separate charges, both on May 30, 2024.I have attached the email with my initial subscription and am asking to be refunded $206.21 for the difference in the subscription price and what I was charged, as well as the May 30 $55.96 charge, for a total of $262.17. Please also cancel my subscription entirely as the frustration with my overcharging now exceeds the benefit I am getting from the program.Business Response

I downloaded an intermittent fasting app called Fasting Track. There was then a questionnaire that I filled out. At the time, I noticed that the name seemed to change but because I had just downloaded it, I wasn't 100% sure. Then at the end of the questionnaire it asked about signing up for the plan. I had already done research on Fasting Track and was ready to purchase the program, so I did. Then up pops a screen saying congratulations and now go download our Unimeal app with your email address as your sign on or something like that. I was very confused because I already downloaded the app I was interested in. So then I look at my phone and realize I already have the Fasting Track app so what the heck did I just buy from someone else?? I was very upset because I didn't know anything about Unimeal, and once I looked it up the reviews were bad and I would never be interested in them anyway. Then I checked my CC to see what charges were there and not only was there one charge but there was another one also!! I have no idea how or why I got this second charge! So I called my bank immediately and made a complaint. I also found the Unimeal email so I wrote to them as well. Their response was that I didn't meet their criteria for a refund and that I can have more months for free. I never wanted their app in the first place, so no, I don't want this app at all. I want my money back. It's obvious this is a dishonest company from all the very similar complaints on here and on *******Business Response

I was trying to create a account with Fasting Tracker once the app opened then Unimeal ad popped up and had me answer a serious of questions to sign up for their service. I didn't realize it during the process because there was no indication that I was no longer looking at Fasting Trackers app until I was prompted to install Unimeals app. I immediately reached out to them to cancel the subscription and refund my money. I reached back out after I did not hear anything from the on April 30th. This company is practicing under trickery to steal money from people. I tried to cancel my subscription via the app as suggested in a email from them and it would not let me cancel, instead it automatically extended the subscription 2 months. Why does a customer have to reached out to them to cancel a subscription instead of being allowed to do so in the app as directed. This is spam at its finest and I would like to have my money refunded since I never intended to sign up for them in the first place.Business Response

Deceptive patterns (also known as dark patterns) are tricks used in websites and apps that make you do things that you didn't mean to, like buying or signing up for something.I'm asking for a refund for the meal prep and now also the subscription. your website purposfully places the meal prep signup button after the first subscription to charge you more money. This trick should not be legal and I am requesting/have requested a refund on the same day. Please rethink your decision.Business Response
