On 6/13/22 I had some test done. Normally my copay for the mammogram and the ex-ray would have been 20$. However for some reason it was 80$. Didn't think much of it just figured that it was changed for one reason or another. I got my EOB from the insurance showing that my responsibility was only 20$ I was expecting a check in the mail. Only thing is I received a bill. D.R. sends a bill, I call they tell to give them 30 to 45 days to review it. Everytime I call the insurance they assure me that they paid everything but the copay of 20$. I am getting very frustrated, I do not have the ****** and if it has been paid don't feel I owe it. I just want to get this settled. I need that 60$ more then they do.Business Response

Was hospitalized September of 2021. All hospital bills have been submitted and sent to my insurance with the exception of desert radiology. Received a collections amount for $1,109 last year roughly around July. I called desert radiology to dispute the collections and they said they will send the bill over to my insurance provider (silver summit). Was never sent to my provider. I called in November to do a follow up call and my provider said they never received any bill from desert radiology. I called desert radiology again and they said they didn't have any notes for sending the bill to my provider. I waited again till today 02/06/2022. Did another follow up call and desert radiology still hasn't sent my provider the bill. Gave all the info they needed to make a claim and bill my provider. The insurance said they still haven't received anything. The manager from my provider said to reach out to the BBB to report and saying that it's illegal for them to bill or even send collections to a ******** recipient. Thank you. I just want the collections removed and the bill to be sent over to my provider.Business Response

I verified the claim was submitted to the plan provided and found that it was rejected by the payor as the patient was not eligible. Upon further research, it was found that the plan provided to us is not the correct plan for the date of service. I have updated and billed the correct plan, according to the eligibility verification received on the website. Account No. ******** Received a bill for Date of Service 1/4/22. 2 chest xrays that were not performed. the entire family had ***** and we did not leave the house for weeks, nor make visit to see a doctor. If we did, provide us with the name of the doctor to whom results were provided. I called ************ and confirmed all security questions except the phone number. I was told that my phone number was not the same as provided by the x-ray facility. I assume this is because we were not at the facility on that day to obtain services and the number provided is fraudulent. The person on the line would not discuss with me further. Although during my previous call I was told they would look into it. I am still receiving bills for services unrendered from DR and am at a standstill in resolving the matter.Initial Complaint

Patient No. DR-***** / Ticket No. ****** Date of service: December 3, 2021 for CT Scan. Paid $180 on that date. Insurance EOB stated my share is $124.76. Attempting to get refund of $55.24 for over a year. Refund check ***** issued on 4/21/22 could not be processed by my bank due to the bottom half of the routing/account numbers being cut off when I separated the check from the bottom half of the refund statement. Emailed explanation and copy of check on 6/22/22 requesting replacement check. Called and emailed five times and was told it was in process. On 9/14/22, I was advised I must send the original check for them to issue a replacement. I sent the check with a cover letter on 9/15/22. On 10/27/22 and again on 12/14/22, I was told there was no record of receipt of the original check and the issue would be escalated. Asked for Supervisor and was told none were available. I was told it would be escalated and to check back in four weeks. I want my refund; this is absolutely ridiculous!Business Response

I had a *** preformed at this location on 6/10/2022. Due to my insurance being their usual unhelpful selves, this was a cash transaction. I called and received a quote for the *** from Desert Radiology which was paid on 6/10 at the time of service. For the quote and at the time of service I had a doctors order that clearly spelled out what was required for the ***. After the fact I received a bill in the email for an additional $60 for contrast that was clearly on the original order. I called Desert Radiology billing to question the bill as it was a cash service and was told it was overage from 'insurance'. When I explained that it was cash and there was not any insurance I was then told it was sent 'in error and to disregard'. Which I did ....Until I received the 2nd invoice for the exact same item. I've tried emailing their billing office for a week straight this time with zero response. I do not owe this as it was always part of the order that I paid $561.00 at time of service for and was already told to disregard it. To date (10/30/22) I have not received even an automated reply from their billing office even though I told them I intended to send this issue to you over the weekend. I've uploaded an amended credit card statement showing the initial payment, both invoices and a copy of the email chain. Please let me know if you need any more info.Business Response

I went to check my credit and there was a negitive report from desert radiology. Well I have never been to this place I have never lived in ******. They say I owe them $365 but I dying owe them a cent because I have n never been seen by them, this is fraud and I want it taken off my credit report.Business Response

On February 18 of 2022 I went in for a biopsy at the Palomino location of Desert Radiology. I paid $312.75 on my ***** debit card ending in ****. My insurance ended up paying which meant that my responsibility had been $70.00 since it's a Doctor who does a biopsy, it was a specialist visit. I have the claim. I first called about a refund of $242.75 at the end of February after speaking with my insurance who instructed me to request a refund as I had overpaid. That first call Desert Radiology stated they needed to get the claim back first from my insurance. I said okay, and waited until my insurance mailed it out (I followed this on the Aetna app.) I reached out to them again and they stated they submitted a refund and to give it two weeks. I did just that, never hearing anything back I called their billing department again and they didn't see anything in the system. I started to keep track of the calls and on March 30, 2022 I was told the refund had been sent by someone named Bella. I called again on 04/04/2022 and they said it would take 2-3 weeks for a check to be sent. This went on again with Carrie on 04/14/2022. I even spoke with a Mika. It got to the point were I stopped recording calls and I started asking for supervisors, and not getting anywhere. Eventually, I was told that a refund had been deposited to my account and that the ticket had been closed. At that point I managed to get the "collections" email to send them proof that I NEVER received my refund. I sent them bank statements including all of my transactions and deposits. And recently I was emailed saying they closed the claim and that everything was resolved because they had refunded me, I emailed them all of my statements again showing I was NOT sent my refund and they continue on not giving me answers. This is not how you do business and I am extremely disappointed with the people that work in the billing department. I'm a student and have a hard time as it is. Please help.Business Response
