I paid Tax Relief Systems LLC to do my back taxes from 2016 to 2020.My husband and I have paid them over $=30,000 to file our taxes. I had cancer and I haven't been able to bug them to do our taxes by being so sick. My husband has called a number of times over the years and received no response either. I wrote bad comments on their website when they stopped emailing, texting and calling me and my husband back. I want to get my taxes paid. I'd like the company, Tax Relief Systems LLC, to finally do what they were paid to do. They have poor customer service and now that I'm getting on my feet again, I can't believe that they haven't filled in 3 years ago from this month. Not can my husband. Thank you, *************************

First I want to address the clients claim that they paid Tax Relief Systems LLC over $30,000.00 to file their taxes.  This simply is not true.  Not even half of what they claim.  Then I want to address the years of tasks and requests for documents and information to file the taxes they were contracted for and we never received so that we could file the tax returns giving the client the best possible outcome.  There is ****************************************************** the clients file that shows the many attempts over the years that the Enrolled Agent on the case documented all the failed attempts.   I have attached some of these pages but there are too many to attach.

I engaged Tax Relief Systems in November of 2020. The business claims that they stick with the case until it is resolved. During the process, I called to request updates and **** ended up calling me to belittle me and threatened to end the contract. He then gave me a choice to either continue their services or receive a $600 refund in exchange for not filing a complaint with the BBB. I chose to keep using their services. I let the process continue throughout all of 2021. In April of 2022, the *** reached out and explained their determination. I contacted Tax Relief Systems to find out next steps and they never returned my call. I completed the appeals process on my own, and during that process several documents were requested that Tax Relief Systems informed me in writing - April 2021- that they had provided to the ***. The final determination of the *** appeal was in 11/2022, so I am now wanting to file a complaining. The company representative was threating, rude and they did not follow through on the commitments they made during the sales pitch. They dropped my case without informing me, and have not been in contact upon request to resolve the matter.

A copy of all work done on clients behalf to process and submit an Innocent Spouse and a copy of the Innocent Spouse form is attached.  Any and all services contracted by the client were provided to client and resolved. This case was resolved and closed.  Any new issues are the clients responsibility.

I am rejecting this response because:

    1. The innocent spouse claim was NOT resolved, and this issue was submitted because the company refused to respond to any request for communication.  At no time did the company communicate with me about the issue being "resolved" or the case being closed. *********** claims to have submitted the file showing work done on my behalf, although there was no attachment provided. Also, there was no "additional issue" that should have been the clients responsibility.  In fact, the original innocent spouse claim was just finalized.  *********** did not follow through with the case despite it being one ongoing issue that I originally contracted with them.
    2. ****************** was most definitely rude to me.  He was aggressive and condescending, and if you submit a copy of the recorded call that ****************** claimed to have, this could be proven.  Unfortunately, I don't make a practice of recording my conversations. Insinuating that I am an unruly client is unfounded and uncalled for.  The only thing I asked for was communication, which ultimately did not happen. Again, my initial concerns were over communication, and the company has proven this to be an issue by - again - not communicating about closing the case.
    3. Had the company responded to my request for communication, I would not have had to submit anything myself.  The ex husband did not submit an appeal, but the *** contacted me directly, which should not have happened if what the company claims is true.  The original innocent spouse claim was submitted, but the supporting documents were never sent.  Since the company claimed to have submitted the power of attorney for tax representation, the *** should have been allowed to contact the company for the required documents.  *************************** ugly phone call was a result of me asking why the *** claimed that they never received anything from this company. Apparently asking for proof of the work done is frowned upon by this company, because they, in fact, are not doing the work they claim to be doing. The last I heard from the company was when I contacted the agent to ask about communication from the *** requesting my divorce decree, which had already been provided to the company. In fact, the *** communicated that there was no representation on file with them.

    Sincerely,

    *********************************

*****************, we reached out to the 2 Enrolled Agents that worked *********************** case.  Below are some comments from the 2 E.A.'s, this client - client broke the contract agreement by contacting the *** herself.  She was repeatedly told not to do that and she kept admittedly lying to the Enrolled Agents.

The *** wouldn't appeal it but they would deny it if they did not hear back from the client when requesting additional info or if the innocent spouse claim was not substantiated.
And from the notes it looks like the client did not even want to file it at one point since her ex was sending her money.

The client was very upset about her husband's infidelity and was currently divorced. she was skeptical about submitting the Innocent spouse due to she didn't want it to come out in divorce court.

When POA was filed she reached out to the *** on several occasions to get updated regarding the case which she was told and signed a contract that the client will not reach out to *** and we would be only communicating with the *** on her behalf, **** and I advised her several times, she agreed and eventually stopped calling ***.

when the closing case- client's new innocent spouse ws not guaranteed, there was an IA in place with *** $ ****** a month, and the client was aware and fine with that, the husband was paying the monthly IA.
