      We hired Las Vegas Granite to put new counter tops in. We paid an initial deposit of $4475 and the rest due upon completion. Las Vegas Granite did a horrible job. Over 20 errors from not using the right caucking the wrong color the cuts being made in horrible places. Chips and cracks my window not closing yellow stains and every Granite piece running in its own direction. We filed a complaint with the contractors board and they agreed it all needs to be replaced. Unfortunately the contractors board is very backed up and we are awaiting the letter of correction even though the contractor's board told him to fix all the problems and that he would be back dating the work. He was to do it in 30 days or less. It is now over 45 days and nothing had been resolved. I purposed to Las Vegas Granite they give our deposit back and we can cordially go our separate ways. Their response was that our remaining balance is now been turned over to attorneys for collection and that this would most likely hit my credit. To me this is not ok. As I am in the middle of underwriting to purchase myb2nd home. Also, he tried to fraudulently cash the last check even after acknowledging the check had been canceled. In fact came back the following day to assist problems. Also he hired a ******* to put back in my appliances and they flooded my house which I had to file a home warranty incident. This company does terrible business and I feel.they need to loose their license for this kind of business behavior.

      To whom it may concern, 

      In response to the aforementioned customer complaint, the customer complaints are not valid and is considered a method for customer to avoid paying the contractor as agreed.  This complaint is currently in review with the **** to this date and if required repairs will be corrected as instructed.  there has been no decision made with this claim that is currently ongoing.  All work performed by contractor is covered under 1 year warranty and any corrections needed will be covered under this warranty.

      I am rejecting this response because:

      It is all lies. They destroyed my granite job it is not completed yet. Also flooded ny kitchen which i had to file an insurance claim and it was over 16k worth of damage, and yes it is under **** review and have ruled in our favor. The owner was told to fix all the granite and now 90 days later nothing has been done. The **** told the owner to their face in feont of me.(home owner)  to get it all replaced and they have not been compliant nor answer an calls or emails from the board. Our agent **** is also fustrated with their games. We are now trying to get other quotes so the board fund can resolve this issue. This company is horrible and doesnt know how to do business. Should of known when 1. The owner **** tried to cash a check 3 days after he was told in person it was canceled. Thats illegal in itself knowing a check is not valid and still trying to cash it. Or 2. Maybe I should have caught on when they asked me to remeasure the island myself and than after I did so, they still cut the granite 13 inches short. This company is horrible and needs their license revoked so other do not have to go through this grief. Shame on Las Vegas Granite.

      We reject the complaint by the customer as well.  As of this date, we have not received any correction order / letter from the **** rep., and there has been no ruling on this case from ****.  for the customer to say the **** has ruled in their behalf is false and we have pursued legal consul regarding a legal hearing and defamation lawsuit and collections for non-payment against the customer.  We have every intention to rectify and correct any items that the **** directs us once they issue their correction letter.
