First of all, in the final analysis, they went above and beyond in order to get my father on ******** without having to spend down nearly all of his hard earned money which in the beginning I was not aware he had. I also have a mentally disabled brother who I had agreed to care for and who my father had left some stock to me in order to help pay for his care. I was at my wits end thinking we were going to have to divest my father of all of his assets in the nursing facility and have nothing left for my brother's care. As it turned out, after informing them of our situation they came up with a novel idea which is accepted by ******** and most people are not aware that it exists. It required a lot of financial detective work on my part as my father had developed dementia/Alzheimer's while hospitalized and could not help me answer many of the questions that were required by ********. I know for a fact that without ******** there to help me and bounce ideas off of I probably would never have gotten through it.

My highest praise goes to Eldercare Resource Planning for working with me and my siblings to secure ******** for our older brother, who now rests comfortably in a skilled nursing facility. We are resting comfortably as well, knowing that the financial burden of his out-of-home care has been lifted from our shoulders. ***** professional, caring team approach secured ******** for our brother in what we learned might have been a company record three weeks from submission of the ******** application to approval. **** team members were always available to answer our questions and there were many and keep us informed of progress throughout the process. Im reminded of a long-ago advertising campaign for the ********* bus company: ************** and leave the driving to us. Great company!! They are always available when you have a question, and they get the job done successfully. I don't have one complaint about them and I just completed a successful 14 month application process with ********* The company holds your hand the entire time and gives the advice you need. I would highly recommend Eldercare Resource Planning to anyone who is navigating the Medicaid system. Without this company's trained professional help we would have never been able to navigate the complex Medicaid system ourselves when our mother was placed in a skilled nursing facility at the cost of over $6,000 per month. Instead, we would have used every penny of our parents hard earned retirement savings. With their advice and diligent work, our father was able to stay in their home and our mother received the full benefits and care she legally deserved. It's very sad that the Medicaid system is so complex and it varies by each state. It would have been impossible for our 88 year old father to have done this on his own even with all of our help. The cost of Eldercare's service was minimal compared to hiring a lawyer, as it took almost a year to finally be approved by Medicaid because New Mexico Medicaid was backlogged an inefficient. Eldercare had to petition the court multiple times after New Mexico Medicaid denied her claim. Do not leave your family's Medicaid approval to anyone else. Eldercare is a valuable resource and our entire family is forever grateful that we chose them to help us on this journey. I would also like to thank Shawna, Liz, Tania and their entire support teams for all their hard work and support through a very stressful process in a kind caring and professional manner.Eldercare Resource Planning, LLC

My experience with this company was HORRIBLE. Not only did they waste five months of my time, they gave me absolute incorrect information! So I came away much worse than I started off. People base their life changing decisions on the information this company provides. Because I was given incorrect information which guided many of my decisions, many of those ended up not being what was best for my family member. Thankfully I also did some research on my own and caught all of this before applying for ********* but we would be in a very very bad position had I not caught the errors and misinformation. People pay all this money to this company so they dont have to research for themselves, so they dont have to overwhelmed on top of the regular stresses. They did not do their job. They worsened my position. They wasted five months which is a lot when your family needs care. I absolutely do NOT recommend this company. While I lament the poor experience that ****************** expresses, I must correct the record. In my nearly ten years in this business, I have never had to disagree with a BBB review. Several times, when we communicated with *****************, we had to clarify the details in subsequent meetings. It was during these updates that, although the clarifications had little or no consequence, ****************** became very aggravated. I can understand, given the weight of the caregiving work and importance of the financial assistance, the desire to have high quality guidance on benefits. While it is common to have a client experience emotional distress when handling the role of caregiver and decision making for an aging parent, ********************** aggressive behavior may have crossed the line into becoming disrespectful toward our team. In the end, although we were on course with the project and ready to submit the application, ****************** decided to cancel services. We offered, and she accepted, a full refund, even though no refunds were required under our agreement at that point in the process. I wish her all the success for her family in the pursuit of their ******** benefits.Review fromClark C

Eldercare Resource Planning did everything they said they would do. Our Aunt was approved about a month ago after running out of her own money to pay for the facility she's been living at for several years. Our Advisor was terrific. I loved how patient she was and walked us through every step of the process. This was Money Well Spent and I would do it again. Eldercare Resource Planning were able to get both of my parents quickly transitioned from private pay to ******** pending when their ******** coverage ran out at their skilled nursing facility. They stayed on their case for for five months, working with the local county social worker to get them fully qualified under Medi-Cal with the correct share of cost. They were even able to get their Medi-Cal coverage back dated to the first day of loss of ******** coverage, which was a huge financial relief, saving my family more than double the cost of ECR's fees just for that one decision alone.Initially I was skeptical of their flat-fee and promise to not stop working until my parents were fully covered, but that's exactly what they did. There were no surprise charges and they stayed fully engaged, quickly responding to emails and phone calls, and making themselves available for phone consultation whenever I needed it. I can't recommend them enough. Save yourself the trouble of trying to do this on your own. These guys are the pros and their fee is totally worth it.Eldercare Resource Planning, LLC
