      If I could leave zero Stars I would. I have contacted Truckee Meadows water authority on several occasions letting them know that my water quality is terrible that it tastes like swampy chlorinated water and they refuse to do anything about it. In fact, they only argue about how many parts per million they're putting in the water and how very safe it is. However, even my dogs won't drink it. It smells like I'm taking a shower and a hot chlorinated pool. They'll also shut your water off. Even if you're disabled, they do not care. There's not a single soul in this building who has a heart or a soul. The customer service leaves much to be desired, if I call worried because my water smells and tastes like a heavily chlorinated swimming pool, they will only argue how safe it is. They should help with coupons towards filters when needed. I'm disgusted with TMWA and their inability to actually help anyone who questions their water! Shame on TMWA and their treatment of customers being disabled or concerned.

      TMWAs water quality group spoke with the customer on two occasions on the same day. Customer is unhappy with the taste of chlorine in the water. Drinking water utilities, like TMWA, are required to chlorinate its treated water to prevent bacteria growth. *** Drinking Water Standards dictate that the maximum contaminant level for chlorine is 4.0 mg/L. The water in the area of the customers home is checked regularly and has been noted to be present at 1.15-1.25 mg/L. TMWA would not provide any customer with a filtration system when its water meets all drinking water standards.

      Had a major water leak this Summer-went on for quite a while without us knowing it. Ran through ****** gallons of water-our normal usage is 2-3,000. Truckee Meadows Water managed to send out a rep several weeks after the month in question had ended to see if this was correct-thanks for the timely service!! When I called to see if they would help us out on the $200.00 +m bill (normal is $26.10), I got the runaround. I then went in-line and applied for managed payment plan to help divided up the bill-still waiting for a response since August long after the bill was paid in full. Can you tell these guys have no competition??? I sure can. If I had an option I would be gone, but that's not an option. Thanks again Truckee Meadows for all your "help"!!! **** in ****

      ************ show in the notes on your account that we contacted you on July 27th when the usage was high and you called the following day to discuss the leak. We advised at that time that the leak would need to be fixed to give you the leak adjustment and then we never heard from you again. If you requested something on the website we did not receive it. I am not using that as an excuse we simply did not get anything from you. I would be more than happy to give you a leak adjustment. The amount that I have credited your account is $70.30 and the way that is figured is we bring all of the excess usage down to the first tier giving you the benefit of the lower tier for the water that did go through the meter.       Horrible, horrible customer service. I called to start a new service as we were moving. **** was nice during this part and we got it set up with no problems or so I thought. She called back a few minutes later and said she couldn't add my fiance as he had an outstanding balance. Weird as we never had a problem before. Asked to take him off the account for now and just have my name which she said is fine but he would have to call and fix the charge to be added on. A month later the owners got a late bill for water. Water was never changed to our names. They paid it online but water got turned off the next day. Called several times and got conflicting information. Oh it was never paid. Lie. Oh you just have to pay 100 to turn back on. Lie. Oh if you pay it now over the phone it'll get turned back on today. Lie. Even though they had confirmation of online payment it was not showing in system so they couldn't turn back on. The bill ended up being paid twice and still no water. They never contacted us about being able to start the service in our name. They said they did which was another Lie. Apparently they are redoing their accounts and my boyfriends ex had an outstanding balance from 9yrs ago he didn't know about and they wouldn't let him start service anywhere without paying that and they wouldn't just let me have my name on the a count. Overall he paid over 600 yesterday to get the water turned back on and it still isn't. We called multiple times and at least 4 times we were on hold for awhile and then got hung up on before talking to anyone. They Lie about so many things with no accountability and you just have to roll over and accept their incompetence and get screwed in the process. I had to drive to my exs house and drop off the kids(one who is autistic) to have showers and use the bathroom. I can understand the problems in the beginning. Things happens. But the lies and attitude is disgusting.
