    If I could give 0/5 stars, I would. I have canceled my move and I would like a full refund for what I have already paid. The mover and representative were not only rude and unprofessional on the phone and in my house but they also made comments in text that they were trying to extort money from me. This is absolutely disgusting and I will never be doing business with movenship again.

    By law, your carrier is required to revise the estimate when there is such a substantial increase in the volume and services requested.
    You refused to move forward with the revised estimate and sent the truck away.
    Per the cancellation policy this is a refusal of service and no refund of the deposit.

    We hired movenship to help move our son. The sales rep told us what we wanted to hear to get the sale. Be very careful and read your paperwork/contract THOROUGHLY. Our original quote TRIPLED. Whatever system they use to calculate the cubic feet changed the quote from a $1600 estimate to a final cost of close to $6000!! This was AFTER my son confirmed the inventory 3 days prior and was told the new estimate would be approximately $1960 by customer service. In the original estimate, it is stated that any new charges are to be put in writing. Our bad for not calling movenship before the truck was loaded. We definitely take some responsibility for not double checking the fine print, but the company needs to improve their practices and calculations. We were quoted 314 cubic feet and the contracted movers then told our son it would be an ADDITIONAL 432 cubic feet at the last minute with the same confirmed inventory from 3 days earlier. Which in turn increased the total cost. We don't blame the contracted movers. They were wonderful. This seems to be a movenship communication issue.
    This has created a financial burden that was not anticipated.

    As your broker, Movenship managed all your dispatch, customer service, estimated delivery, quality assurance calls, inventory reviews, and any date changes. Your direct carrier only handled the loading and unloading.
    Regarding the price increase, it was not solely due to volume but adding items that were not initially listed. Your initial inventory was 314 cubic feet, which increased to 638 cubic feet (additional 324cf) at the time of pickup. This significant addition in volume accounted for much of the increased cost.
    By law, your carrier is required to revise the estimate when there is such a substantial increase in the inventory and services requested. Our customer service team provided support throughout the loading process and explained each charge in full. The increase in cost reflected the additional items and services you requested.
    You were not charged for the direct delivery that you did receive which is considered an accessorial service.
