      MY MOM PASSED AWAY 10/22/2023. I SENT EVERYTHING THEY REQUESTED AND TILL THIS DAY THE FUNERAL HAS NOT BEEN PAID. THEY ARE NOW BILLING ME.THIS IS SAD AND EVERYTIME I CALL NO ONE RETURNS MY CALLS OR ANSWRS.WE PAID MY *********** EVERY MONTH ON TIME. IT WAS PASS THE 2 YEAR GUIDELINES IN ORDER FOR THE INSURANCE TO PAY OUT WHEN MY MOM PASSED WAY. LAST TIME I RECEIVED ANY RESPONSE FROM LUMICO WAS REQUESTING MY MOM DEATH CERTIFICATE AND THE FUNERAL HOME EXPENSES AND THEN NOTHING ??

      Hi ****,We are so sorry to hear that your mother passed away, and that your experience with us hasn't been smooth. We checked our records and discovered that a funeral home assignment was received and signed by *********************** instead of you. We received a withdrawal from *********************** on 11/13/23. On 11/14/23 the funeral home sent in again the claim form signed *********************** On 12/21/23 we received the death certificate, but the claim form signed by *********************** had yet to be received. Multiple letters have been mailed to you requesting the claim form (11/15/23, 12/8/23 and 12/22/23). As of 1/4/23, the claim form was received and is being processed. We apologize for the misunderstanding. *************

      Looked at all these reviews and reviews from better business bureau in another state. All say the same thing that Lumico Life Insurance does not pay out. I regret ever getting it. The agent on the phone who sold it to me was a jerk. I should have known. Going to *** them for my money back in a civil suit. Going to cancel my policy. Going to have to close my account because no doubt theyre going to try to keep taking the money out sharks and thieves that they are. Lumico may you close down.

      Worse Company. My sisters husband was killed in Head on Collision May 17. As of Oct, still no information. You can not speak with anyone that can answer a question. They claim no supervisors, no one calls back. Told they communicate every 15 days by mail but in 4 months have only heard twice. Once was one sentence stating claim reviewed, another was a next of kin form that was sent the month prior. You cant talk to same person so I have been told several times they have everything, only to call back to be told they need more information. Next told, waiting on medical. I called medical office, told nothing requested. Told again waiting on medical, I called all offices who said everything sent. Lumico couldnt tell me or medical office what was needed. Said wasnt their job, wasnt their ***** I understand reviewing information but he didnt die of health reasons. He had an accidental rider and died in accident. Lumico said they gave wrong fax to the medical people. Had wrong claim number. Luckily, i had medical resend and got conformation that it was received. My Sister has lost husband, lost her house, funeral still needs to be paid. My sister and her husband are mentally challenged, living on SSI and thought they were being responsible to get a policy to help the other in event of death. They were so proud to tell us they planned for future. Did agent take advantage or is company fraudulent but 4.5 months should be ample time to payout policy. Lumico claim review is because policy is less than 2 years old. Lumico received death certificate and accident report immediately. Last 2 people didnt even know that it was an accident so they need to look at notes before reading script. And dont tell someone you know how they feel unless you loss your spouse, your home and have people calling you to pay funeral expenses. My sister would rather have her husband but that isnt possible. Sister paid policy, which had accidental rider and report shows head on collision.

      ABSOLUTE WORSE. HOW DARE YOU GIVE THEM.AN A RATING..ARE YOU KIDDING? I experienced the same issues as reviews below. Forms lost over and over again, months and months of reviews and in.the end, OVER 6 MOS. after my husband passed away, NO CHECK. SAID HE WAS NOT ELIGIBLE for full *** HE PAID ON THE POLICY (he was a few months from.2 yr minimum). Bogus "COMPANY" -- DO NOT USE AND TELL OTHERS.

      I'm not sure why my policy was cancelled. I called a month ago and the customer service lady said I would be getting a letter with an explanation and a check to reimburse me for what I paid in. I have since emailed Lumico and they say to call customer service or go on the app. I can't get on the app and have yet to call customer service again. Why would they tell me the information and check is being sent to me and a month later....nothing? I'm not happy with this company at all.

After conducting a thorough review of your policy and associated records, it has come to our attention that the rescission letter and the corresponding refund check were initially sent to your registered address on June 28, 2023. Unfortunately, we received the mail back as undeliverable.Subsequently, following your call to Lumico, a check representing the refund of your policy premiums, was mailed to your updated address on August 24, 2023. However, it has come to our attention that a copy of the letter explaining the policy rescission was not reissued at that time. In an effort to rectify this, a copy of the letter has now been sent to your updated address on October 11, 2023. We deeply regret any inconvenience this oversight may have caused and sincerely apologize for the delay.

      This would definitely be 0 stars or negative if it worked that way.Very unprofessional! A guy named ***** called my dad and had been talking to him for awhile. My dad had a couple strokes and is not in the right frame of mind these days. My son happened to come over and heard him talking, my dad is the kind of person that just let's the people keep going and will let people take advantage of him, so my son got on the phone and told ***** he wasn't interested. ***** proceeded to call him vulgar names and told him that he made a prank call and wasted their time. Remember Lumico, (*****) is the one that called we did not call him. He told my son to F@#k off and all kinds of other bad language and name calling. All my son did was say he wasn't interested and that he thought they were trying to scam my dad.

      There was a "system error" back in October 2022 with auto pay for both my debit card and my husband's debit card. We got a notification in the mail saying that if we don't call to confirm payment information, our policy would be canceled. We missed the "probationary period" to keep our policy, so they weren't going to honor our locked in rate and charge us more monthly. We decided to go with another insurance company, but now we're getting charges from them without authorization. They aren't going to refund ** either claiming we never canceled our policy when they didn't charge our account for 7 months. THEY canceled our policy because of an "ERROR" on their end, but are charging our debit cards without authorization because we didn't verbally cancel our policy. Such a scam! Don't use this company for anything!!

      The absolute worst customer service I have ever dealt with in my life. Everything is scripted and they do their very best to make everything beyond difficult. I just lost my mother and they did everything possible to make things as unbearable as they could. They refused to answer the simplest question. You can forget trying to speak to a supervisor. They do not even listen to what you say but simply cut you off with the same scripted ******* Please find someone else for your insurance needs.

      My mother passed 4 months before her 2 year policy was valid. She died from Covid complications. It was totally unexpected. I understand her not making it to the 2 year **** but this company was terrible. We spent 30 days of going back and forth about what records were needed for the claim. Then from January to May we were calling to check on the claim only for them to send ** a check for premiums paid. They knew all the long that they werent going to pay anything towards the policy but it took 6 months to deny it.

      This company is playing with me. My mom passed 3/11/23 and to date the funeral home has not been paid. I have called several times and also ask to speak to a supervisor and to date, no return call back. First they was saying they needed my name change info, I provided. Then they said my bank rejected payment. I contacted my bank they said never received anything from this company. Every time I called its **** business days. They told me this 4/12/23. I called again and a supervisor left a message said 5-7 business days direct deposit. Today I called and its something different. This is crazy, its so many complaints about this company. The funeral home needs to be paid. I need help.
