Pattern of Complaints
BBB files indicate a pattern of complaints concerning airline travel purchases made through Pearl Travel USA, Inc. Consumers are telling BBB that they have paid for international airline tickets from this company and receive a confirmation email after the purchase. However, when consumers later contact the airline they think they are flying with to check their ticket information, many say they are told that their tickets were cancelled by the travel agent. These consumers were reportedly never made aware of the cancellation. Many consumers complain about the difficulty in reaching this company, and when some consumers are able to get in touch with the owner of Pearl Travel to discuss the status of their tickets or request a refund, they claim they are given the run around. A few consumers that say they have received a refund check allege that the check has bounced due to the owner stopping payment on the check.
On September 9, 2015, BBB requested Pearl Travel USA's voluntary cooperation in eliminating the identified pattern of customer complaints. As of October 20, 2015, the business has not responded to BBB's communications and failed to specify what actions the company will take to alleviate the underlying issues in the pattern of complaints.
