      Business keeps contacting my place of employment and I've asked them several times to stop doing and receptionist has told them to stop and personal calls are not allowed. I have documentation of four times they have called and everytime we say the same thing.

      Please see attached document for the complaint. The man’s name is ***** ****** at m and t bank. My branch or customer service will not give me his phone number and he is harassing me at this point with not releasing my account to me. Documents were provided. Explanations were given and he still continues to have my account locked.

      My M&T Checking Account Number is **********.

      I recently called M&T to close my account, but they informed me that it is set to close automatically and that they cannot close it manually. Unfortunately, they were unable to provide a timeline for when the account will be closed, and it is still active.

      Could you please request that M&T close my checking account as soon as possible? Additionally, I would appreciate it if you could have them send the account closure confirmation email to my email address ********************** or mail me the account closure letter.

      I am writing to bring your immediate attention to an unauthorized account that has been fraudulently added to my credit report. I am a victim of identity theft and have filed a complaint with ***************** to rectify the situation. The account in question is causing significant damage to my credit score and financial reputation.

      I moved to Delaware in April 2024 and updated all of my accounts including M&T with my new mailing address.
      M&T somehow updated my address incorrectly and I have been trying to get it corrected ever since. They inconveniently want me to go to a branch to change my address which I am unwilling to do, especially since this is an error on their part.
      Each month my neighbor at *** has to walk my bill from their mailbox to mine at ***.
      It is ridiculous that I have to jump through hoops in 2024 to get them to send me my monthly bills to the correct address for the loan statement on a recreational vehicle. This is not a bank statement - this is for an installment loan.

      Ive been having consistent issues with M&T bank. I started a new job so the time i can spend handling things outside of business hours is hard. My fiance and infant was traveling to St. Kitts where shes from on thursday so wednesday she tried sending herself money there using my account which i told her she can do. M&T then locked down my account, mobile banking, and card a day before they left. My fiance called and they stated I would need to come into the bank. i then went to the bank on my lunch break. Showed them my identification, social,phone number everything needed and spent 50 minutes of my lunch break there. They then said the transaction is pending fraud investigation and someone will contact me.my child and fiance flew to st.kitts and are there with zero money because after three days noone has called, i cant get my weekly work deposit because my account is closed.i cant pay bills, get gas wigh my money, upcoming rent and again my baby needs food and diapers and they have almost $5000 of mine being witheld. I dont understand how making a transaction and proving my identity and authorization of the transaction can cause a bank to starve my family out by withholding my own money. I need someone to contact me asap. USING MY PHONE NUMBER OR EMAIL ADDRESS ON THE ACCOUNT! This is discrimination! I trusted this bank to hold my money and im starting to feel robbed. My child cant eat and have diapers because you deemed my authorized purchase fraud! If i had a million dollars yoh would have already resolved this the minute i walked into the bank and verified my identity and the purchase! Some one call me immediately I need to get my weekly deposit today! I am a graduate student who works at a non profit company and you guys are making my family and myself struggle for a fake fraud inestigation!

      Late in 2023, my husband and I purchased a second home. To secure financing for our second home, we 1) assumed the seller's mortgage and 2) took out a $200K HELOC - both with M&T Bank.

      Using M&T Bank in the purchase of this home was a gross error of judgement. From the application to payment options, M&T Bank has lacked customer service, their processes are archaic and their handling of our monetary transactions fraught with errors.

      The latest incident:
      On Sept 3, 2024, my husband and I went to M&T Bank's Altoona, PA branch, requested a pay off amount for our HELOC. At that time, we paid the loan in full and signed paperwork to close the account. Several days later our account showed a zero balance but remained opened. Several days after that, our account showed the bank owed us a refund of approximately $1,400, and the account still remained open. On Sept 20, 2024, when our account was still open, we returned to the same branch and were told we owed an additional $3,800+. No one at that branch was able to explain the discrepancy. We sat in a supervisors office for over an hour while she was on the phone with someone in the HELOC, and no one was able to explain the error. A week has now passed, our account remains open, and we still don't have any answers. Customer service is so poor, that we have been told there isn't anyone we are allowed to talk to about this, and that we just need to trust that it will be sorted out and someone will contact us. Against our wishes, this account remains open even though we signed paperwork to close the account on Sept 3. Over a week ago, we requested that if M&T Bank wasn't going to close the account until the figure out their own error that they would at a minimum reduce our available limit to $0, so a $200K open line of credit doesn't appear on our credit report. A week has passed, and they have failed to do this either, AND they continue to charge us interest on a debt we no longer owe!

      Hello My name is ***** ******** and I received a refund from ******* ********** for $945. they sent the refund to bank mobile who then say they deposited it into an incorrect account at M&T bank do to a typo on my end. The routing number was correct so M&T was supposed to reverse the charge. I have been calling and speaking to customer service and branches for two weeks. I have provided a tracking number and a reference number to locate the money. They have assured me that it would be reversed and couldn’t be placed in someone else’s account. Now I have been told that the money is safe but when I gave them the trace number they have said that the money can’t be located. Which is a contradiction of everything that they have said so far. This is $945 of my money that M&T bank can not locate despite the fact that I have been assured up this point it would be reversed. I have been told that it would be reversed in 3- 5 business days and. 10 business days. All have come and gone and the money has still not be returned. The customer service has given different answers the entire step of the way to avoid responsibility because they don’t have a clear answer. hopefully with the help of the BBB this can get to someone who understands the situation and doesn’t just kick the can down the road.

      Our property sustained significant wind damage after a storm. We worked with our insurance company for repair estimates and were provided with an initial check to start repairs. We signed a contract with a contractor to begin repairs on one area of damage with a payment scheduled. Work began and we requested the remained of the insurance funds for that project to pay the contractor. The second payment check included the name of our Mortgage company M&T Mortgage as a co-signer. the initial check did not. We submitted the check and all required documents to M&T Bank who is now holding our insurance money essentially hostage. They are refusing to pay out the money until All repairs are done. Because we were instructed to start repairs with the initial money provided, we have had to empty our savings to continue to pay our contractor due to continued delays from M&T Bank. Per our insurance company, we have 2 years to complete all repairs and this will take multiple contractors. We are simply asking for reimbursement for the repairs that have been done and are meeting nothing but bureaucratic walls. And delay. We are owed approximately $39,000 dollars at this point.

      This bank is a joke. I opened my bank like month ago. So i was not using it like that. Last week i bought money order that i was supposed to use for documents fees and i ended up using another method so i have decided to put my name on the money order and deposit it on my bank account and now my account is locked for not reason. I called and they were talking non sense. They need to fix this as soon as possible. I dont have time for the headches. Im adding pictures. Take a look
