      On 1/8/23 I received a letter saying that M&T owed me some money and sent a check to me back in 2019 and that I never cashed the check, to please call in and claim the money. So I did. I was told on 1/10/23 to allow 4 to 6 weeks for the check to arrive. I called back several weeks later and was told the check never went out until 1/26/23 so wait an additional 4 to 6 weeks, so I waited. I called back on 3/16/23 and asked about my check. No one could explain why the check was never delivered. We confirmed my address several times, after all they sent me the letter to begin with, so they have the correct address. So on 3/16/23 I was told I would have the check in 7 days and they were sending it via UPS, they were to call me back with a tracking number, they never did. I called again today, 3/23/23 and asked where the check was. I was now told it hasn’t gone out, they were still working on it. I now have been waiting on this check sense the start of January 2023.

      I was told the check number I was to receive was *********** which I never received.

      I feel this is very unjust. If I owed M&T money and did this, they would turn me into collections, trash my credit and so on. However, they owe me money by their own admission and have no care in the world on getting this matter resolved.

      I just want the money they owe me. I asked them to over night the check, they said no, I said deduct the fee from the check and express mail it, they said no. I asked for the number to the department who was handling this, I was denied that information. I asked to have this escalated, I only got a far as a floor supervisor.

      I am an African biracial middle-aged woman. A client was in a wheelchair of senior age being of Caucasian race under my care was interrogated by Sandy M***** and another bank teller name Joan. The two one being a manager and the bank teller antagonized my client asking questions in an appropriate manner causing my client to stress out and worry about her banking assist with M&T Bank.

      Narrative:

      Client (MK) was called into the bank at 855 Enfield St stating that her signatures do not match. Upon our arrival at the bank the two ladies' asked to speak to MK alone. While they were in the room with a closed door, they interrogated MK, asking questions about the minority workers she has working for her. This would be myself and another minority worker. They asked questions like... was she being abused, why does she pay what's she pays, she's paying too much, where did those black girls come from, are we taking advantage of her, how long have they worked for you, do they hit you, you should fire them there not good worker, etc....they blocked both accounts hers and mine and we both are longtime customer of this bank, also my account debit card have been cancelled and the cancelling of the card came directly from the bank at 966 Enfield St. I have been contacting the fraud department, went into the bank on multiple occasions for the tellers to keep telling me to contact the fraud dept. to no avail the fraud department cannot help. This transaction transpired on March 9, 2023, approximately 12:30p.

      I have been trying to work with M&T Bank to resolve an issue with my mortgage. I have not made payments for 3 periods because I do not have the money. I do have the money in my 401K account (all of it) but they won't work with me to write a letter to my 401k provider. Additionally, now they are harrassing me each week and advising me that they want me to sell my house so I can pay them back.

      They have also written down false statements from our recorded conversations. I told them I would be able to pay them in full on April 15. They wrote down April 1st. The weekly harassment from their single point of contact team is harming me mentally. I now am considering suicide so my wife can collect life insurance money to keep the house. M&T refuses to help and they are short and abusive with me on the phone. I don't know what to do. Suicide is my only option.

      I went to my bank M & T Bank On Lea Blvd I was racially profiled by the employees there in the bank working I wanted to cash a check to pay my contractor finishing my floors & instead of looking over my drivers license they gave me the look all while in the drive thru than tell me I have to come in due to the large amount the female that was waiting on me than tells me she passed it over to someone else he is pecking on the computer at another teller window never addresses me I advised him had an appointment he gets up goes to a back office where this older lady is I am standing ther 20 minutes now never says anything to me meantime customers getting checks cashed still eating getting to be 30 minutes so I asked the security guard to asked him to come out he said we still investigating & I asked what it is my money & I want it I so frustrated I told him to bring me my check & my drivers license & his business card I will deal with them Monday ….I cannot believe they are still doing this to us I guess not suppose to ask for an amount that they say is large but it happens they were trying to take me out of my ailment not going to let that happen they have bad customer service he told me at the end he does not know me ???? ….well he knows my money ….. I spoke with Richard K*** very unfriendly never let me know what the 30 min wait for my dad has been a 40 year customer there this is the treatment we get there the woman in the office he addressed never came out yo speak with me no customer service treated me like i just came off the street humiliated /stressful / racially motivated I feel afraid to ask for my money that is in their bank

      My account was hacked by a Kevin ***** and Michaek **** who claimed they were with PayPal. They put $10,000 into my checking account and had me withdraw $ 9000 and send it to California. Right after the withdrawal, the deposit was removed. They then made a cash advance from my credit card and along with a fee for the cash advance totalling $2575.00. They also took what was left from my pension leaving me with $860,00. I went to the bank and told them I did not do this nor did I authorize it. But because it was taken from my account and it looked like I did it, they didn't want to do anything. I wasn't aware that these people were able to see my account when I was asked to go into my account. They could see what I had and helped themselves. I showed the bank the proof I had that the $10,000 was indeed deposited into my account. I have a total of $11,703 due to all of this, I have filed complaints with the fraud department of PayPal, the bank to try and recover what I have lost, the FBI cyber crime, the State Police and the Federal Trade Commission.
      I have been with M & T Bank since they took over the Pawling Savings Bank quite a few years ago. And I have only had 2 issues with this bank. I sice this issue, I have moved money to another account since I don't feel I can trust them. I only took the $9000 out and sent it to California as I was instructed to do, Now the bank refuses to give back what I have lost, They aren't looking to protect their depositors.
      It is a shame that they feel they can argue with people rather than listen and be objective and sympathic to what I have been through.

      I’m currently a M&T bank customer for past 4-5 years. I recently put my boat up for sale and had a buyer for it for $40,000. I still had a lien on the boat and trailer for $16,000. The buyer which was also a M&T customer wrote a check out to me for $40,000 (local to me) after going over the boat. The next day I went to the bank manger and gave her the check and asked when it would clear so I could pay the loans off and get a clean title for the gentleman. She tells me that it’s a M&T bank check and it will clear over night. The next morning the funds are in my account so I proceed to pay off the titles of $16,000 and put the other $24,000 into my savings. The next day after that I get a call from M&T bank and they say they canceled the check and they need the money back. So now my account is -$40,000. So they take $24,000 out of my savings and don’t add it to my -$40,000 balance. Also I go to a branch vice president for help and he sent emails to his higher ups to see a resolution to this as there is no way I can come up with $16000 that I used to pay the titles, broker fee.

      I had a 4% loan on my boat and if M&T would have waited for check to clear then I couldn’t have gotten into this issues. My resolution was for them to give me a $16000 loan at 4% and I give them the titles to my boat until paid. But it’s not fair for me to go get another boat loan at 11-12% because M&T messed up.

      My home is due to sale on 03.13.2023. You have been sent the money that will bring it current as of 02.24.2023 and have refused to apply the funds. I am a total and disabled veteran and I have called you numerous times prior to getting assistance from an outside agency. You have not helped me at all.       A check for $6049.60 for a warranty refund was sent to and cashed by M&T Bank on 1/24/2023. I have been calling since 2/2/2023 to try to get the check applied to my loan with no luck. I have sent them a copy of the check THEY CASHED showing the GL account that the check went into. I just keep getting told it is "being researched, it will take 3-5 days" No one ever calls back or resolves the issue. Now it has been over a month, we can not refinance our car and continue to pay daily interest. I just called again on 2/27/2023 for an update and was told the same info. There is also no way to speak to the same person more than once due to them being in a call center, therefore I have to repeat myself every time I call.

      On 2/18/23 I received a txt alert from what I thought to be M and T bank stating a feud charge from target like the other charges were prior to this happening. I called m and t and was disconnected and a rep or who I thought was a rep from m and t Freud department called a few moments after call was dropped. According to the rep I also had another pending transaction from zelle and that I needed to send a reversal request to the supervisor and that the money would be debited back to my account. Once the transaction was complete the call was disconnected and I could not get my funds back.

      On 2/16/2023 I received me and my wife's tax return from the irs in my wife's deposit account she wrote me a personal check for 1700 that I cashed at the drive up teller at m&t bank Berwick . this bank has ATM cash deposit availability so I deposited split deposit s in my individual account first 500 in one account which was fine and 1200 in the second ending in 8644 The ATM received a technical error on the 1200 cash deposit and gave me a technical problem receipt and took the cash . I went in the branch immediately after the ATM jammed it took my 1200 cash . I filed the problem with the bank that minute it happened . now been getting nothing but a run around with the bank about the deposit and nothing is being done with my 1200 dollars cash just back and forth with multiple representative s lied to on when it will be available what's happening etc . spoke to the manager which I believe is named Alisha at the bank which was informative that the atm part broke and she said all the paper work was done and I should ve gotten my deposit on what the dispute lady said . still no deposit still nothing done and the 1200 they have and was not returned to me anyway or form .I received misconception of the information all the way around. never get to talk to any one person twice I get told at the branch that the dispute department needs to finish the paper which was told to me they did what was necessary for me to get the deposit still nothing

      MTB account is locked now by something they aren't telling me . I have no knowledge on what they whatever and whomever are trying to collect without a court order appearance or whatever do not know what to do that gave me a 1800 for a law firm in Philadelphia that shows ohio etc ....what do I do??   Not sure what's  it is all pertaining to the 1200 or not nobody will tell me any but accounts are  all locked  and the law firm they tell me to call are ignorant and all affiliates  asioated .they have me contact ....filled the other dispute on them through experian and other bbb case  for the law firm not telling me anything and playing me a run around voice mail to voicemail mail the customer lady on the phone just said I was being sued but ...left voicemail s to speak to the law firm  them and get no where but my account s are all locked and no access to my uc money etc ...

I called the 1800 7909130   mtb when I learnt  the account wasn't working ...they told me to go to the local  branch the local  branch provided  me a 1800 number that the teller and customer service told me to call and it was the law firm number ( 18005898516 )....

      ****** ****** forwarded the following email  for the BBB to send to M&T:   I found out some information today  .......M&T bank  froze or levied my account on 3/23/23  because citi bank na used weltman Weinberg and reis co lpa execution letter  delivered to columbia county 3/21/23 to levie my account because of consumer debt that I'm not able to pay do you being on pa unemployment insurance .......I have emailed m& t bank serveral times letting them about exemptions on pa unemployment state and federal part and let them know about wwrs and the complaint.......I'm having absolutely no problems  with first keystone that s me and my wifes joint but  ...........so it has to be m&t bank and how they are handling this ........I was served by the sheriff s department today 3/28/23 ..... How is the bank able to levie or freeze my account on a executive letter that is against Pennsylvania and federal law to levie exempt unemployed insurance benefits... I sent a complaint to cfbp but haven't gotten a reply ... I attached the order to you because is the order mis read by M&t or do i file against m&t bank citi bank nv but sent to local m&T BANK 415 central rd bloomsburg pa 17815    it is getting all mixed up because of federal local Pennsylvania upstae ny laws when.... im being affected Imediately  .....the bank and law firm and citi bank na are breaking Pennsylvania and federal laws on major  exemptions under Pennsylvania and Federal laws on trying to collection on employment compensation insurance ....I attached the page  but was served after the fact of the levied account how are they allowing this to happen ....if possible can you forward my message to the right party  I fighting  here  ....I will reply to the courts but  I'm being buried by bank to bank snowball to a  avalanche effect here and its all damages and racking dollars cause the locked my only form of income pa uc .....(+6 attachments)

      Lawyer in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania In light of there response on June 2020 there was no way possible to respond to any writ of excuation.due to pandemic covid 19 stay at home orders in placed by Government and Governor Tom Wolfe at that time because of covid 16  . no legal legal console was available at that time . on 4/5/2021 judgment I guess was already placed . and on 12/31/2022 i do not recolic be served on new years eve . on 3/23/2023 I did not realize that any bank garnish meant or writ was written until 3/28/2023 when I use MTB bank and was already placed .......I was served on 3/28/2023 by Columbia county sheriff about this matter til 7 to 8 days after said garnish ment or levie was in place .....in light of this situation that is at least 3 to 4 occasions i do not recollect. I'm rights are indeed yes being violated by said creditor citi bank na and the above lawyer s for those said creditor and  firm s that are carrying out the collection s and unethical practice s . the above has been disputed and disputed again on all three credits beaurors and consumer credit protection s etc. Most and all consumer debt collections and judgment s will be responded to on account of filing chapter 13 and or 7 bankruptcy with unabilatity. to pay due.to. pandemic euc and uc unemployment or layoff ect... with said residents *** ********** ** ******* ** ***** written to co buyer due to ****** M ******* un ability to pay on all personal unsecure credit accounts collections and said judgments to be written to that bankruptcy chapter 13 and 7 to writ of said property and contents to to co buyer and daughter of said come buyer .......please forward to all appropriate appropriate parties on.this is ****** ****** official statement    ****** ******
