      Called yesterday got hung up on 3 times. Asked the service lady a question and she couldn’t answer it she kept answering it with a question. Your staff is has no idea what is going on. I’m trying to resolve an issue and get the run around.

      This bank is horrible. They currently have kept my bank account on hold for almost a month now and my money is behind held because they are looking into a wire transfer that wasn’t even done at this bank. My other bank did the wire transfer with no questions or problems no this stupid bank hd has not given me and answer or an update on what they ar doing or looking for. I want my money and be done with this bank

      The branches and fraud department are trash, they inconvenience you for no reason like they owe you money. I've been penalized because the branch didn't report that I physically stopped in and had a correction to my account. Do we not what communication is!!!

      Theft of services, I diligently complied with the M&T Bank on my monthly payment, since the Bank took over the administration of the property from ******** ***** Bank in the year 2017. I never miss any payment since I bought the home in the year 1994. Thereafter, M&T Bank levels extra $40.00 every month for late payment in their billing statement ro me. The Bank calls every day demanding payment from me, regardless when the payment has been cashed by the Bank. I am stressed out with their demand from me, please help to resolve this. Thanks

      I was taken in by their 'line of credit' option. I decided to get it; I mean it was just like a credit card right, except not a card but online? LOL! Stupid me. Every time you used the card, you were charged eight dollars a day, for every day you use it. When I got this 'line of credit' I was so happy--I'm on disability and thought I don't have to struggle anymore for money. I should have known. I stayed loyal to this bank and they shoved me to the wolves, nice, huh? Now they are slapping on daily fees and I owe more and more. Where is the loyalty to me? No, no, no loyalty to the customer. We are just there to get money out of us. I should have left when a lot of other customers did when they bought out People's. Now I will, unless they show me some loyalty and remove the fees I wasn't told of to my face by the representative. Instead, they said, 'Congratulations', like I just won the lottery or something.

      Worst bank ever. They take money out of your account and claim its a fee. Basically steal what they want. dishonest and incompetent.

      Terrible bank for people who travel, use online banking and *****. Still stuck in Buffalo 1980's. Use this bank to take your loose change to. They do offer coin rolls! That was nice. Using ***** or online banking good luck. I would use a bank that is not stuck in 80'! Should change to accept zero as rating pitiful.

      In working with my mother's lawyer on an estate matter in New York City, he emailed me a document that needed to be notarized. Since I work in Hackensack, New Jersey and have an account with M&T Bank, I decided to take it to the branch in River Edge, New Jersey. I had used this branch a few times in the past and liked it because it is close to my job, has parking, is right off the highway and near a number of stores and restaurants I frequent.
      When I spoke to the Notary in the bank, she looked at my ID and asked if I had an account with M&T Bank. I said I have had an account with M&T Bank for over 20 years. My account is with a branch in NY because I used to live there before moving to NJ. However, with electronic banking it didn't seem to matter where my actual account was anymore. She went to speak to another person in the bank and then said that she could not notarize my document. When I asked why she recommended that I take the document to the branch in NY and have it notarized by someone that knew me there. I said it doesn't make sense to drive all the way to Long Island to have my document notarized. She suggested having the lawyer notarize it since he knew me. I said he was also in NY. Ultimately, she said there was nothing she could do. Not once did she attempt to verify my account, ask me about past transactions that I may have recently made, obtain a copy of my signature card from the NY branch or ask for additional pieces of ID if she had any questions about my identity.
      A Notary is supposed to be impartial and are duty-bound not to act in situations where they have a personal interest. She is there to provide a public service on behalf of the State. Having an important document notarized should not be dependent upon the relationships that I have. To recommend that I have my document notarized by someone that knew me is unacceptable.

      If I could leave a zero rating, I would I am past disgusted. My insurance chk is being held. No explained anything. I submitted everything that was requested of me on their website. I filed the claim on the hurricane that just passed I have an adjuster. I have an attorney. No one explained that they needed a breakdown of all the damages that I obtained here at my home that relates to the claim check The roof claim information was uploaded alomg with paid receipts. I had to take out a loan in order to get a new roof because of citizens taking a long time to elease the funds. Any information. M&T is stating that I needed is additional documents besides the 50 plus pages i have alresdy upload. Now, the supervisor that i spoke with state i need an itemized list of all the damages, which I think is ridiculous.
      If my insurance company and their inspectors approved the check, why? Am I being harassed by M & T. The question was asked why did insurance company release the funds to me. M &T is asking for my insurance company to write why they release the funds. At this point like I stated to the supervisor this is discrimination no one should have to jump hoops for their own money this is worse than a Ponzi scheme. I am totally unhappy totally dissatisfied with M&T
