      I have been admiring the rings from Alexis Russell for YEARS, and I am so sad I have to write this post. I love my ring so much, but I have only had it for six months and tried to suck up the issues we had from the start with the ring.
      About a month ago I finally had it with the fact they laid the stones improperly, there were gaps/spaces between stones and I thought I could suck it up but 1.) it was an eye sore for me because I look at my ring constantly throughout the day and 2.) it had me anxious that the stones were going to fall out. Also, the band was so much thinner than we imagined which made the ring constantly spin on my finger even though it is my proper size (confirmed with a local jeweler). I was uncomfortable shipping the ring back to New York to have them fix it.
      We decide to go to a local jeweler that people raved about and I am SO happy we did it sooner rather than later. My ring is fairly simple, low profile with a center stone and a smaller diamond on each side. The jeweler originally thought it would be an easy fix, come to find out it was a "monster" due to the casting and how they laid out the ring. I went to pick it up, and the jeweler straight up told me it was going to be a "remake" once we brought it in again. He showed me all of the imperfections and explained all the issues. They completely casted the gold wrong which led to having air pockets. It was genuinely a blessing we found this sooner rather than later.
      My fiancé spent a hefty amount on this ring, and we are at fault as we did see the negative reviews other places but really hoped the good reviews we did see lived up to the expectations. We have decided to have the local jeweler remake the ring for us instead of dealing with AR again. We are now spending $500+ to get something fixed that should have been 1000% correct the first time, especially for how much it cost.

      I was looking to get an eco-friendly engagement ring - it is really a notorious industry for no visibility into sourcing. I found a great gemstone ring for a reasonable price. Shipping ended up taking a day longer than anticipated, but I was very happy with the fit and look of the ring - actually was better with a larger gemstone than it looked like in the picture.

      I purchased an engagement ring from them for more than $5000. For years I was very happy to show off my ring - pitched to me by AR as a unique, salt and pepper, stone. I attributed the high price tag to the size of the diamond (2ct), the uniqueness of the stone, and the craftsmanship of a small business. I am since divorced and upon taking my ring to a proper jeweler for appraisal, I have learned that a diamond like this one (with "inclusions" and a crack down the middle) is worth no more than a few hundred dollars. Honestly, I'm heartbroken. I was so proud of this ring and saw it as a true investment. I feel quite betrayed by AR and the way they market their rings.
