Misuse of BBB Name and/or Logo
Montess, LLC is not a BBB Accredited Business.
BBB sent correspondence to Montess, LLC on August 21, August 28, and September 8, 2023 requesting that the business provide assurances that they will cease and desist advising consumers that they are "BBB certified". To date, the business has not responded to our request.
The International Association of Better Business Bureaus, Inc. (“IABBB”) is the owner of many famous marks, including Better Business Bureau, the BBB Torch logo and BBB. These marks are federally registered in the U.S. and in other countries for business information and investigative services (U.S. Reg. Nos. 566,415, 969,847, 971,579, and 2,314,197).
A business's use of BBB trademarks without permission constitutes trademark infringement and is a violation of IABBB's trademark rights. Moreover, this use may constitute false and deceptive advertising in violation of state or federal statutes because it falsely implies BBB endorsement or affiliation.
Pattern of Complaints
On May 16, 2023, May 30, 2023, and June 13, 2023, BBB
attempted to contact Montess LLC regarding a pattern of serious
complaints and requested a written response outlining steps they will implement
to avoid similar complaints in the future. As of September 18, 2023, Montess LLC has not responded to our
request, and has not responded to BBB complaints on file.
BBB finds that a pattern of complaints exists concerning
consumers signing contracts with the business and providing payment. Montess LLC fails to return to provide
the scheduled services. Consumers also report that Montess LLC has
not replied to their phone calls or text messages.
BBB has concerns about Montess
LLC’s practices and urges consumers to use caution based on their complaint
activity and lack of responsiveness.
