As of last January of 2024, I signed a loan agreement with Versara Lending, being told that the money from the loan would be used for settling debts for two different creditors. The loan money was supposed to be sent to a debt negotiator called Atlas Debt Relief, who did NOTHING to settle my debts over the coarse of 11 months!
This caused me to cancel my agreement with Atlas to receive a refund for my past transactions with them which was a monthly service fee of $310.12, which then got transferred as far the money obligation over to Versara once I signed Versara’s agreement. I was then paying back into a loan that was supposed to be used but never did. I had to settle my own debts with my own money and nothing of the loan. Per Versara’s agreement that I signed, I was allowed to recall the loan due to no activity with my accounts. I tried numerous times to get this rectified. As of about mid April, I have been unable to reach ANYONE at Versara due to their phone line not working or unable to actually speak to someone about this. Why should I have to continue to pay for a loan that never got used in the first place?
I was forced to cancel the account the money was coming out of for the loan payments due to lack of service from Versara. I attempted to contact any other entity in regards to Versara but have had no luck and I’m at the end of my rope here. I keep getting threatening emails from Versara (I truly believe it is a bot sending these messages and now I’m seeing messages of a possible scam from others on here!)
If there is any class action lawsuit against Versara and/or Atlas Debt Relief, please count me in. I need help with this. Please help!!Initial Complaint

Around December 2022 I met with a rep of ********** ***** ***** from MN to discuss my options to enroll in a Debt Consolidation program. After they presented a program that it seemed to work for me, I signed up for it around Jan 20th, 2023, and began to make payments in February 2023. My monthly payments were of $1026.30.They promised me to consolidate my credit card debt and I was going to pay one sum amount monthly which was going to be saved in a 'pool' to pay off my creditors.I was told that the money was going to be at a bank called ****** *******.Then, around September 2023 I was told that due to my good payment record, ********** grooup was going to transfer my loan to Versara Lending which was a company they work alongside with customers like me. I received paperwork to sign, and the monthly payment changed to $1231.36.Those funds were withdrawn from my bank every 15 of each month.I have been trying to reach out to them for several months because I cannot log into my portal, and I need to see my progress and download statements, but I got no answer nor via email or calls. However, they keep sending me reminder emails of my approaching payment.I need you please help/advocate for me because I have been paying a lot of money to this company and I was hopeful that my debt was getting paid. I'm a single mother and a small business owner (home daycare provider) and I work too hard to stay afloat and to get my finances on track after my divorce. I own a house which is my income due to my business and I don't want to lose it.I appreciate any help with this matter.Best Regards, *****Initial Complaint

I have been paying this loan for several years. The payment is debited monthly from my bank account. I have been trying to contact them for several months to receive the payoff amount and repay the entire loan. The portal no longer works and they did not respond to email. When you call, a message tells you to use the portal or email them. I finally went to my bank and had them stop allowing the debit for my account. I do not want this to ruin my credit and I just want to pay back the loan. No one will contact me.Initial Complaint

I enrolled in a debt relief program with ********** ***** ***** in March of 2023.After some time in their program they connected us with a loan to cover the amount of the debt we were enrolled for, 30,000 + dollars through another company calledVersara. They supposedly funded the load in January of 2024, we began making payments of $412.66 bi-monthly in March of 2024. Nothing was ever resolved beyond that. My debt remained with only $2000 or so covered which was before theload was offered. On June 7th of this year, 2024, I withdrew from the ************** ****** ******* and attempted to notify Versara however the phone number wasnot connecting and my emails to them only created an automated response to say"Hi ---- ----, Thank you for reaching out to Versara Lending. A case has been createdfor your recent request. Please use ######### for reference. A representative willreach out to you if needed. Thank you, Versara Lending Support Team" I have sent them 3 separate responses to notify them that we have withdrawn from the ********** Debt Relief program, I provided them my phone number to contact me,and also notified them that I had stopped all payments coming out of my Bank account for any amount of money under the name of ****** ********. I also notified them in each of my emails to their "********************************" email, that mybank was conducting an investigation of Fraud and making an attempt to recover monies that were paid out of our account. In my estimation we had $3,300 dollars taken from our account by Versara and nothing was ever settled on our account over at ********** Legal. ********** ***** has said they will refund our money to the amount of a little over $5,000 that has been sitting in an escrow account. The refund of $5000+ from ********** was to have happened within 7 to 10 business days from the date of our withdrawal from their program which has now passed.Initial Complaint

I have tried to contact Versara Lending since Feb 1, 2024 in regards to this federal lawsuit they have pending. No one answers the phones, no one answers the email, and payments just continue to be drawn. Changed my bank account so attempting to change it with them to no avail. They are current seen as a SCAM company with no way of ending the payments to them.
All I WAS asking for was a call back and now I am asking that all payments be suspended until the courts determine whether or not they are allowed to run as a financial company or truly are shut down for good.Initial Complaint

I had done a debt relief loan with Versara Lending LLC. It seemed legit as they were automatically withdrawing my payments as discussed. For the last 3 months I have been trying to pay off my loan, and it never happens. I have submitted payment in full twice online. They never process it. I have called and never reach anyone. Now the phones do not work. I have emailed and failed to get any response. I’m trying to take care of this, but I can’t. I don’t know what else to do.Initial Complaint

I had a loan with Versara lending and had been trying to get a payoff amount since January. I was always given an excuse or no response when I emailed about it. Was told it was too late to get one, too soon to get one all the above excuses. I spoke to someone that gave me the address for payoff remittance. Since they found it so difficult to give me a payoff, I over paid (they took my payment on Feb. 28th, said no payoff until 3/6). I had the bank FED Ex overnight the payoff which is what I told the rep.
Once I knew payment was sent, I called again to make sure it was received….the rep at Versara referred me to GL Holdings. I contacted them and they said they got the check on the 5th (correct)…but it was REPORTED received on the 6th. I asked if that could be fixed, and GL holdings said they would contact Versara. After another week I called ** ******** back and was told they don’t handle that, call Versara. I called Versara back and explained it all again and gave all the information they asked for….tracking, person who signed and time.
I have attached the proof of delivery. I was told previously that interest will stop the day the check was received, and any refunds will be refunded to me between 7-21 business day (which is crazy) I have not received any refund as of this writing! I asked about this as well and got the run around.
If my payoff was received on 3/5/24 at 8:32am signed by: V. C******---my interest should have been stopped. But when reported, they put it as the 6th. I feel I shouldn’t be charged an extra day of interest due to someone else’s error. They said my refund is $582.12 but that was taking interest out from the 5th of March.
This is now 3 months that I have been waiting on my refund!!! No return calls or emails.
